  • The new rapid-acting Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation therapy for treatment-resistant depression works in days instead of weeks, and may have implications for use in other mental disorders. Nolan Williams, M.D., Assistant Professor, Director, Interventional Psychiatry Clinical Research and Director, Brain Stimulation Laboratory at the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Stanford University Medical Center explains how this non-invasive treatment works.

Thank you for doing this program! I have been looking into TMS for myself and the idea of rapid acting TMS is very exciting!

I've read that DEEP TMS is approved for schizophrenia in Europe. (negative symptoms) When will this be available in the USA? My son is also depressed, so would it be worth getting him into a DEEP TMS theta-burst program? At least one study showed that DEEP TMS relieved depression as well as negative symptoms. That's my question as well. I'd like to know how long generally the treatment last this is something you have to do a couple of times a month couple of times every few months. Transparency on that issue would be so helpful with understanding that we're all individuals with different needs better range would be very helpful

Did your headache go away? Have you had any treatments following your first?

Jeffrey sounds like he’s from one of the funding agencies that Nolan references at the end. And he reminds me of an old school evangelist. Good content, though
