- Why do we stop loving cars? It's sad to say, but almost all car enthusiasts at some point will grow out of cars.. & I think I can see why! You are the reason why I drive a eg hatch and a bugeye wrx instead of a “normal” car, I’ve broken parts, and blown up cars but I stay committed to this lifestyle because of how fun and entertaining it can be, and yeah everyone wonders why I’m wasting all my money on cars but it’s because it’s my passion and it’s what makes my life worth living, stay committed and do more, love you Robbie, so excited to see you back and what great content there is to see on the wrx😤
Ya know, i have had an extremely rough day. My timing belt snapped on my eclipse on my way to take my kid to school and i don’t have the money to fix. Ive been struggling to figure out what I’m going to do, seeing that you started posting again put a smile on my face and made me realize i need to look at the positive in the situation and keep moving forward. I've been into cars forever! As a little 1-8 year old kid I always had a vehicle on me, no matter where I went! Now 10 years later I'm still a car guy, just with more knowledge, and also a budding car photographer, I have so much to look forward to!

The first time I saw a video of yours I was in a very tough spot. My neck broke from an accident and I was questioning if I could recover, walk or be useful to society. You "stay commited" closing was among other things a great motivation to get back on my feet literally and I am proud to say I now help others how have the same question I had. I bought a Miata last summer, it was my first dedicated sports car. I got it because of that "ideal" car culture you talked about. Before the Miata I had an STI. I just sold the Miata because having a car sit in a garage for 6 months drove me insane, and I missed the year round versatility of an AWD car. I'm hyped for this

1:27 dang that shot of the wagon hit me in the feels. My first car was a manual awd 93 Impreza wagon. Over the years i slowly replaced all the parts to make it look like a v1-4 STI. Somehow I found everything one piece at a time and already the same shade of green as mine. Took me about 6 years to find/afford it all. Then did Uel headers, full 06 sti catback, wrx rear swaybar, coilovers, sticky tires. Then did an autocross and got the same time as fairly stock brz on coilovers. Lifted it on forester struts and drove it from AK to ND, then to WA and back to AK. Then my sister learned to drive it and drove it work for a couple years. Then it sat for a couple more years and stopped starting. My little brother got it a new maf and it's running again. He is driving it around the driveway every day because he doesn't have his license yet. It's at 190k with some rust showing and starting to fall apart but I'm not even mad about it. The little 1.8L is still going strong. I want to find another one and swap all the parts over.

Robbie, you were the first car youtuber i watched back when you bought jasmine. I always was a car guy but when i watched your video's i realised i liked modding cars and civics :). Years later i bought my own ep2 civic at and you inspired me to do my own thing and stay committed to what i want. Loved all your video's and seeing you upload again made me happy. I also realised that as a 19 year old and only one car i needed to mod my car so that i can daily it. That pushed me to do the best i can and maintain the civic.

Honestly, one thing that i'm sure that most of the Canadian's car enthusiast can relate to is like you said, the harsh winter. It's really heart warming to see that in the youtube car community we can relate to someone's struggles and seeing you overcome them gives us hope. It's amazing to see you back and actually enjoying uploading and working on cars again, you're a true inspiration, God bless you.
I honestly started not too far off from you. I had an 09 Malibu that I had for 5 years. Traded it in with 211k miles on it. Never modded it but learned how to detail a car and how to fix and maintain a car with it being so high milage. Ended up pickup up a manual 17 wrx a few months ago and cannot wait to get started modding it. First cars are a great platform for learning the general stuff since they are usually very normal cars, but not always the best for modding. Got the WRX because I wanted something sporty but at the same time practical to drive year round and so happy I picked the WRX. Great points at the beginning of the video!

Not to get too mushy but when I went to lunch today and saw you pop up on my feed I teared up a bit. I use to think the stay committed was cheesy tbh but have been following since the beginning and loved to see another gearhead working on cars. Stay committed just hits differently now.... I went through hell last year about the time you dropped off and I understand why you took a break. I finally have life by the balls and am super stoked to see what this year has to offer both of us! Glad to see you back! I think you hit the nail on the head about how people fall out of love with cars. I've had to resort to SUVs because I have two kids and more often than I would like to admit, I take the SUV over my project car even on short solo trips around town. It's just more comfortable and less hassle...Anyways, looking forward to the build!!
