This is gorgeous, you did a great job, but there is so much information left out! I do not understand at all. Are you putting the paper on a board that you are going to then put down on your floor? That is what it sounded like. So I would assume you will be cutting the board, or was it cut to fit before you put the paper on it? Also, you said all you have to do to finish it is put another coat on it. Coat of what?? Thank You for your answers.

Laminate flooring is just a photograph of wood, pasted on a substrate. Make sure it is well sealed, no water damage, and it should be fine.

The paper floor has lasted for 4 yrs. 4 coats polyurethane. That’s it.
Why not leave the contractor paper wide and fo your wood grain then cut it
