Can I Turn A Basic Grocery Store Cake Into a Hyperrealistic Cake?
VloĆŸit
- Äas pĆidĂĄn 30. 04. 2023
- This week, I challenged myself to make a hyperrealistic cake using ONLY every day items. No specialty items, only things I was able to pick up from my local grocery store. Let me know in the comments how you think I did đ

I love how she opens every merch promotion with âDo you wear clothes? Or know someone who does?â it just kills me every time đ
I also think the fact she used a doctorâs room is also great! So random! Only Natalie would be bold enough to pull this one, lol

She is getting more and more powerful each day, soon she will create humans made out of cakes and take over the world
She already... has....
Her power is immense. And we, her fans, get to watch her power grow exponentially.
Iâm here before this comment blows up đ€

Why I see you under every video waltuh?
@@komododragon410 he wants a meth cake, don't mind him.
Hey Natalie, remember that hair brush cake you made and you absolutely loved the edible hair. Well what if you made a hyperrealistic cake of a wig in a head mannequin?!
ok thats a reallyyy good idea
That sounds like it'd be so fun to pull off.
Good idea!
A what?
Good idea!
Just wanted to let you know that my husband calls your signature green buttercream "Sideserf Green" - and as a result, we've all taken to calling that color Sideserf green! My kids even spread it to their school by calling something Sideserf green and ended up explaining why to a confused audience so now you have a bunch more younger viewers!
Green is my absolute favorite color (crocheting a green blanket right now, in fact - I just prefer darker greens), so I love that you use that in all your goodies!
aww thatâs fun
At this point I am convinced that I can pick up a random object and it would probably be one of Natalie's cakes
Yeah
Lol 10:59:59
maybe natalie might even be cakeâŠ

I think it is perfectly fine to use something that most people will have in their kitchens as a tool for this sort of contest. A knife/fork/spoon is something most normal people have in their house.
She used a table, freezer and microwave to. So yeah I feel like everyday kitchen utensils and utilities are fair game (since i'm not expecting het to go to an ikea just to get a table for this one video)
Exactly, the same way cooking challenge shows allow stuff like salt and cooking oil. It doesn't affect the challenge, just makes things easier on the logistics/organization end :]
exactly, itâs not like she got out carving tools or clay tools, it was just a butter knife
She also used her hands (hopefully not found in grocery stores)
Yeah, my thoughts are "everyday kitchen items and stuff you can find at the grocery store"
I love how she challenges herself all the time and is not afraid to fail, like today she was scared that the sugar might not hold but still did it, and like how last week she remade that lava lamp cake and took her previous experience as a learning opportunity instead of getting discouraged. She always tries to learn new techniques and that is such an amazing quality. Her cakes get better and better every week.
Cake idea- a cake of the knife that you use to cut the other cakes
You def should be allowed to use everyday items. Things that are in everyone's kitchen is definitely allowed. I'd love to see how you do this same cake but using all the items you want to use.
This cake seems like it would be too sweet to actually eat, but the creative solutions are super impressive! it turned out super realistic!
I don't believe that things that can be "too sweet" but it is cool!
That strawberry cake from Walmart on its own actually isn't super sweet! But the brown sugar would definitely make it too sweet
a channel called Scottpropandroll made a video on edible sand using diff kinds of crackers n cookies. It looks more like sand bc the brown sugar is way too uniform colored and shiny. Plus itâs a lot better than mouthful of sugar in this lol. I wish she did that instead :( (also, Heâs a prop maker for movies)
Iâm not sure how it would hold tho lol^
@@spewky2955 It looks like kinetic sand tho!
I would love to see you create a musical instrument. Instruments have so many details and lots of curves and details that could be sculpted and painted. I would also be curious to see how you make it appear hollow as most instruments are.
An 80 foot symphonic gong
Violin cake!đ
Violin cake!
Violin cake
Flute cake!
I have a tip! If you intend to do another "sand" cake in the future, instead of brown sugar, try using cookie crumbs, it looks almost the same and its more consistant
She is so creative with her mind! She can come up with legit anything in, like, less than an hour! She always thinks out of the box! Beautiful cake, as always!
Facts
Can wait to see you make a hyper realistic cake with dental tools
That would be so good
She could make cake dentures with dental tools
I too enjoy eiscue
@@benjamincharlton1388 eiscue??
@@M1kadrawsalot yes
My brothers and I cheered when the cake sandcastles stood tall! Proud of you Natalie!
This is such a fun concept! Maybe not the best for eating, but it's great to have something that your everyday audience can make. I also love the bits of castle that didn't end up perfect. Because let's be honest; unless you're really good at building sandcastles, not every bucket is going to get crisp edges. You'll have some crumbly bits. And that's exactly how some of these ended up!
I know Walmart also sells craft shells, so that could also be a fun thing to add in! For anyone who would want to recreate this
It's really cool looks great and all. But imagine taking a bite of cake with all that brown sugar. Holy crap. You would immediately become diabetic.
@@coreyhamby2989 same thing I thought
@@coreyhamby2989 Yea, I would probably use biscuits instead
I think something awesome about this one is it looks like something pretty replicable (compared to your /other/ mind-blowing cakes) and would be cute for a kids birthday party.
Yes, take a bite of all that sugar.
The thing i love about this channel is that her voice is very energetic and 'hyper' which makes the video x10 better â€
I swr
She's got a great "cartoon voice" that keeps you listening. đ
WOW ITS AMAZING but itâs ur first time not making it 10000000000% percent realistic but I love itâ€â€
Ahhh!!! Thanks so much Nattily! Iâve always wanted to try to do something like this. I do lots of different kinds of art and Iâm very excited to try this out myself :D
Even making cakes from just items from the store looks epic!
Bcz she is talented
I don't think some one else can do the same
@@mjakko256 thats bc no one is her!
Awesome! And the cakes from the yellow and green mold are even more hyper realistic than the one from the red mold, because it's very common that little pieces of the corners/edges break off. Just like they did here!
Actually, I think the ones with the imperfections make the cakes look more realistic than if all of them came out clean, because realistically you wonât get a clean release of sand everytime while making a sand castle even if you pack it in right
I love how you repurposed those Walmart cakes, I work for our local one and have always been rather curious to see exactly what was inside of the 5" cakes (because I can't have gluten). You never cease to amaze me with your creativity â€
I propose you make a cake of a⊠dollhouse!! Iâd love to see it â€đ
Can we all just take a minute to think about how talented she is!?! Like itâs insane
This turned out GREAT! Also, a nice tutorial for those inclined to make a sand castle cake đ
OMG WHOâS WITH MEâŒïžyou should make a loofa cake! So like a cake ball In the middle then adding some fun textures on the outside like a loofa then mix some egg whites to make bubbles and put it on the loofa and maybe hang it up on an edible hanger but itâs actually flat on the ground!!!đđđ btw some people are saying that she has already made a loofa cake and if so then can someone pls tell what video it is?
Awesome idea â€
11:08
This is amazing đ€©
So whimsical and nostalgic, I actually had an emotional reaction to this one... Simply beautiful, sends one back to one's childhood...
Yeah it's really good
soooo much sugar it would be the sweetest cake! the imperfections on the sandcastles make them more realistic! iâm curious what would u have used to make the sand if this wasnât a challenge but like every other cake where you had specialty items available?
You should definitely try doing more challenges like this.... Lyđđ
I think the little edges on the sand castles make it look more realistic cuz when you make a sand castle at the beach some sand gets stuck in the molds
I love that you have allowed yourself to have fun with your nails despite the misgivings you had previously. They're always so cute đ
Wow! Great job, Natalie!
The brown sugar looks so much like conetic sand!đ
This is my favourite cake I'VE EVER SEEN! đ
I love how she is always trying new things! She is so funny!
That looks so good! You are so talented!
Would love to see more cake challenge videos like this. Theyâre so fun to watch!!
Natalie is so sweet! When she used to Butterknife (which Iâm sure we all have) she just said âI hope you can forgive me!â
Ofc we can!
That has gotta be the most SATISFYING cut you have ever done! đ Cool nostalgia cake, really gives me flash backs of my Florida cake. WAIT! đłCould you make
a bouncy house cake?!? But it creates the illusion that itâs big! đ€©Like how you did the truck!đ€
Dang thatâs impressive! This video was so fun to watch!
She is so talented no one can do better than her đ
The way you worked outside of your comfort zone was amazing- especially with a complex thing like hyperrealistic cake art
I gotta say, the first time you tried using buttercream I was in pain because it wasn't green XD
I love how much enthusiasm you show!
I love you Natalie, youâre on my top of my list of CZcamsrs
Wait where did that signature green buttercream come from?
This was actually the most satisfying cake cutting for me thus far!
Omg your cakes are so detailed!
This women is amazingâ€â€if she can dream the cake up she can make it.
Okay but seriously one day I'm gonna shake my friends hand or something and its going to be Natalie's cake
Lol, Same đ

Sending positive vibes for your new creation! â€
I love how much character and personality you have in your videos. Very genuine and fun!
The way the lighting, makeup, and her facial expressions are, she looks AI generated lmao. Love the vids.
Well done Natalie! What a great challenge.
I love your profile pic your face smooshed in to the camera đ€
I just want to add that I have never seen a sandcastle (not made by professional sand sculptures) that has little nooks and crannies to be in all one piece that isnât falling apart. The fact that they stood so well in the end makes me jealous of your actual sandcastle making ability.
I just love how there is always something new she tries out and it works out at the end somehow. And ofcourse the cakes looks so amazing
You said they didnât sell modeling chocolate but donât you make yours?
I really enjoyed this longer video, looks amazing
I was thinking the same!
Maybe they didnât sell the ingredients
@@Alli9kitty a supermarket sells white chocolate and glucose/corn syrup
@@kasie680 maybe she doesnât make her ownâŠ? But thatâs how you make modeling chocolate? Interesting!
@@Alli9kitty yes! She has a video
Isn't modelling chocolate just chocolate with oil added? They all look amazing!!
Love your different challenges to yourself!
I think the part I like about this video the most is the fact that you pick the strawberry cake which is pink and you use signature green buttercream which obviously is green so the inside of the sandcastle cake that has the strawberry and green in it looks like a watermelon cake and watermelon is perfect for the summer end of being out on the beach!
Hey there natalie i would love to tell you that i took some inspiration from your video's and i decided to make a funny fiels like you mentioned in your video. so ill share with you my favorite one: a funny story in my funny files is that when i was a kid my siblings and i used to think that my mother wouldn't brush her teeth because we never saw her do that, so i was wondering if you could make a cake of a toothbrush, a tube of toothpaste and for an extra challenge - flows.
i would love to see you make it!!! thank you so much!đđ
Wow it's so unique,â€â€ by the way if she didn't made some adjustments to the rules in the last minute she would not have been able to use a knifeđ đ
You are so talented and I love watching every single one of your videos. U are one of a kind and I hope u always continue to bake these cakes and share them w us all for many many many years to come!!! đ đ
Your hair is soooo pretty in this video! †i love watching your videos when i am bored đ
Now I am hungry for strawberry cake đ
Baker here. Brown sugar packs rly well, i wasnt surprised at all when it stood. Also pretty smart to use it as sand lmao ive never thought of how similar the 2 look lol
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE your vids and cakes!
This girl can make any cake tool look realistic.
as awesome as it looks im skeptical about the amount of sugar here
Me too , I think it's inadible even though presentation is super nice
You can take the sugar out for eat or use crushed Graham crackers instead i dont know if would be the same realistic effect tho. You could try to experiment mixing some Brown sugar in the crushed Graham crackers too
Make a honey cake â€
I used to see you in tv when I was in class 4 and watching you was a treat you made a koala cake, frog cake and it was like a treat ....but apart from it you look to me like Elsa...but then that channel got đą disappeared but after that when I see you here I'm so happy because watching you was always a treat and how amazing it felt to see your husband be helping you in everything and the most suspense time was to see the cake reach destination being in the car trunk đâ€
I can't believe it!! Magnificent outcome yet again!!!â€đ
First, also did you notice sniper wolf reacted to your pineapple cake love your vids I just subbed love your vids, maybe pin
Omg she did ? Thatâs amazing!đ
Aaaaa first!! I love your cakes and I wish I was as talented as u Natalie!! This was such an awesome video đđ
This was super entertaining! Keep up the good work!
I just watched it and wow! You are amazing at making cakes! â€

You should do a husband dave special with both of you do a cake but you have to make the cake husband dave has to make it realistic
