Probably because airing a cartoon about airplanes shooting at each other wasn't going to fly in the face of certain recent events-no pun intended. Surprisingly, it was decided that both Gargoyles (which takes place in NYC) and Aladdin (set in ancient Arabia) were okay to keep being played. Disney's is quite a bizarre mindset.
Thank you so much for this. Toon Disney from 1999-2002 is sacred to me and is my favorite channel.

Vivien Ballard the 4th grade me did not like the fact they updated the jingle. Still loved 1SM regardless.

The CN commercial you’re talking about is from 1996 and lasted for years. So it definitely predates the Toon Disney one.
