Discovered them when I was 13 (am 32 now) Still can;t believe i got to see them live. I headbanged like a madman this entire set, especially once The 9th Day started since that was the first song i heard from them. Top 3 this weekend for me, and totally blew Candlemass out of the water

I wouldnt say amazing, (seeds of the desolate an hour in was hella rough)but in your 50's, who can sing powerful high rob lowe songs????? No one can. Gotta be hard for queensryche, SA, judas priest and Sanctuary to name a few

THANK YOU for this!!!! I hope SA come back with more shows and music. And Lowe’s voice is still packs so much power! I was expecting he’d sound more like the 2012 release “In Times of Solitude” (which is great too).
Legends! A great gig - great to see them play together. I've been a fan since "Into the Depths of Sorrow" and I still get goosebumps when I hear this music and Robert's vocals. ... Robs daughter would be a great addition for a future Album 🙂🤘

He looks great. Losing weight and shaving his head a while back transformed his entire appearance. Actually looks younger IMO. Looks sleek and a bit menacing to me. More physically active as a frontman too vs. before. Love it!
He looks like Kane from a video game called command and conquer.

Robert Lowe and the current singer of Candlemass are the reasons I can no longer listen to Candlemass. I can't believe they let Robert go.
Eazily the BEST band that nite good to see them back and being they are from Dallas I’m sure I’ll see them again I wish they played Chapel of Burning that song is special to me but I went bonkers when they played Black Castle!!!

why do these guys need three guitar players? Sabbath did the same thing with one. Good band so I'm not ripping them I'm just wondering.
It is because it is a one-off / maybe never again special event festival reunion gig for the band. That being the case, they seemed to try to include members from all eras of the band as much as possible IMO.
You are right IMO though, three guitarists not needed (cough cough Iron Maiden does not _need_ the prancing third axeman "Hey look at me!" Mr. Gers...)

Damn I so wanted this to be perfect, the musicians are spot on. But Rob is out of key pretty much the whole set, painfully so.

Yeah it's strange. The first 2 songs he was doing alright and then Haunting The Obscure onwards it's bad (Days Of Prayer is especially painful) it was like he couldn't hear himself at all.
Maybe it was that. Remembering his performance with Candlemass , and seeing that he can still sing , I am sure he ll be able to fix that until they play in Europe.
Thanks for having the balls to say that re: off-key. On key or slightly out in some spots, but noticeably flat much more often than I would have expected. Tone was good and voice was strong/clear as expected from Lowe. Agreed with poster above - pitch issues could have been due to weak monitors, which can really affect singers in terms of pitch and endurance. That said, he was flat on or sang around some of the higher original vocal parts. Well into his 50s if not older, so not too surprising. He wrote/writes great vocal lines (melodies), which are as trademark as his unique, gifted voice IMO.
It’s gotta be difficult to sing anything in the Solitude Aeturnus setlist I wouldn’t sweat him on it too much. He’s from DFW Texas , listen to his accent when he addresses the crowd, that drawl is thick AF. It’s amazing he can belt out that voice live and it not sound like a country singer lol. He’s paid his dues and sang for Candlemass he is probably at least 55 years old and the doom metal style of singing he does has a unique sound all his own.
