Are you kidding me ? How can a game be this old and look and play better than most new fighting games ?
it's one of the best games ever made and easily the best 3D fighter ever. something that good stands the test of time.
Also, remember its played on emulator so it looks way better than original console
The arcade versions looks even better! The VF series has always had great graphics for their time, especially the arcade versions.
Which fighting games does this play better then?
@@sladejosephwilson2300
Plays better than DoA6 , Tekken 7 and even Injustice 2.
IMO...
This fighting game is WAY BETTER than the fighting games of today in my honest opinion! So much heart and soul was invested into this game! CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED!
First fighting game I've ever met that has characters using such relatively little known and yet so interesting styles like Bajiquan or Tiger Swallow Kung fu, this is really a great martial arts game, difficult to master but rewarding when you learn to play it, there's nothing like this nowadays.
Not even tekken
@@jessekoppel3847 swallow what now?
@@jessekoppel3847 Doesn't need to be.
I love virtua fighter it is just deep fighting strategy, no endless juggle combos, no supermoves that kills instantly, no demons and angels shooting lazers from their eyes no giant robots or lightsaber wielding cyborgs (despite the cyborg like final enemy which fights mostly like other fighters).
Oh, a Tekken fan 😂😂😂
Best 3D fighting game of all time. I am a die hard fan of the series but 4 Evolution is my most favorite.
@dream Of course.
VF4 Evolution is an incredible game.
the customization of characters clothes and names was an incredible feature that kept me playing for years to get all the items and learn every single move and combo. amazing, underrated game
I remember this game. The first game I ever played. The good days when we had no worries.
Yes 😢
This game looked awesome from my memories of my childhood, looking at it right now feels different
Same😪
In the right hands, the PS2 was a monster! This version has much better lighting and background effects than the Arcade btw.
This was the best VF closely followed by VF5 Ultimate Showdown.
I still have this game on my shelf and would play it religiously growing up.
I tried to remember enough details to find this game for years, finally. Finally I found it
La nostalgia me invade...recuerdo cuando de pequeños jugábamos horas interminables junto con mis hermanos..todo iba sin prisa..😪
Same
I bought this game years ago. I think I remember this game coming out around a similar time as Tekken 4 and it completely decimated it! 😅 Tekken 5 even borrowed from its gameplay and some customization elements a few years later. It was ahead of its time and it still holds up to this day!!!
So nostalgic, I have many memory’s of fighting my brother and dad in this game when I was young.
Virtua fighter 4, tekken 4 and marvel vs Capcom 2 were my first games for ps2 🤩 wayyy back
Man I played this game so long ago, and I’m only 16. I think i was 4-3, i got into games at a young age.
One of the best VF port to console ever.
Have a look at my channel as well and subscribe for great VF4 content.
Have a look at my channel as well and subscribe for great VF vontent.
Really, I really liked its gameplay and how it was configured in the PCSX2, even the audio is nice to hear for the quality!
I love both versions of Virtua Fighter 4! I remember playing one of the versions on my PS2 as a kid growing in St. Louis! BEST TIME EVER! I really hope SEGA brings both versions to modern consoles someday soon!
Are the fighting scenes stretched to accommodate 16:9? The text does but the characters look fine so maybe they just look good stretched too?
Yes bro! I finally get my PS2 controller :D what about DoA2 u already uploaded It?
Nice bruh. :P
About the DoA2 .. nope i still didn't do it. I'll try do it later. :)
You coulda play as my boi Brad Burns. But hey, at least you make up some damn good work. I remember how I was in love with the Virtua Fighter series and the first one I ever played was Virtua Fighter 2 with Kage Maru. ;)
Nostalgia
where did yo download it?
Man I was a baby when I was playing this game. I feel old now and I’m only 25 😭
I swear the graphics looked way better back when i played this...
Bullshit, It's still looks great.
they did because that was the very best at the time. they stold hold up very well today
The arcade version looks better then the ps2 version
Virtua figther 4 evolution
Japanese game made in 2002, better than most games made in 2020.
you're right.
The best 3D fighting game on PS2
Naw. Tekken 5
@@TheHistorianKing Bruh, no xD
@@lawrence1156 Bruh yes. Lol
@@TheHistorianKing no
@@animechann6796 Yes along with Teken Tag 1 (2000)
This runs smoothly... Whats your settings?
All the settings is in the description below mate.
We played this game a lot at church. We always huddled around, watched, and took turns.
a long time ago i played this game on a laptop :3
This game is underrated
I just realized she has the similar fighting style as xiaoyu from Tekken
The memories... 😢
I'm a Jacky main. That boss chick is hard to bypass but once you learn her random pattern, she becomes much easier to counter. In my opinion shes easier to beat with jacky.
Why not try Smuggler Run for PS2? Another underrated (I think) Rock* game.
hey ! is the emulation imperfect or the game doesn't have flash light or light particles during punches and kicks collisions ?
This is Virtua Fighter so no hitsparks that's just how the game is. Although if you pay attention you can see the character's bodies have lights on them when hit.
White lights: means a normal hit
Yellow Lights: means a counter hit
Red Lights: means a stagger
Does this game have analog directional controls I have a ps1 controller & i can't use the analog sticks to do nothing
QTpie Analog sticks are only usable in the appearance customization menu. Otherwise, they do nothing outside that. Pressing R3 during Training mode resets the positions.
Ps2 days. Memories
Have a look at my channel as well and subscribe for great VF4 content.
Fun times
Waoo better than tekken. I still remember this game.
Que des souvenirs, j'ai passé des heures dessus et pour l'époque il était génial. Mieux que des jeux à la con qu'on voit maintenant
5:10 so some GameCube fanboy told me before PlayStation 2 has zero lighting at all and isn’t capable of it 😂😂😂
Me gusta
I always though pai chan said 'gay' when she was fighting for some reason sounded like it
good
i'm surprised lau's hobby here is poetry. i think in the earlier games, his hobby is cooking
FUCK I loved this game as a kid
Vf4E does have a little more of a difference then the regular version
She same Chun li?
Pai really looks like Chun Li like how Akira is to Ryu. Her 2P outfit looks more original.
Lau chan
Looked much better than VF4 in my opinion which did look jaggy on PS2. Probably the best in the entire series
Japan
XIAOYU :o
Best gane ever
I'm confused, this Virtua Fighter 4 game looks extremely similar to a different version of another Virtua Fighter 4 game that I remember. The other version had better music, better level design, but did not have Brad and Goh. Is this version of Virtua Fighter 4 suppose to be a improve updated version? If so, what's the deal with the music choice, the first version is way memorable than the newer bland music that replaced it.
I agree with you. The first version you are talking about is VF4, this one is VF4 Evo. They enhanced VF4 and released VF4 Evo a year later. But personally, I am with you and like VF4 a little bit more.
@@ProfileFb I saw your profile picture, and it was one of the characters in virtua Fighter 4. It made me instinctly click on your account to be greeted with Virtua Fighter 4 videos made about a week ago. That cought me off guard since this game is almost 20 years old.
@@NuclearNuke41 Haha, yeah. I can imagine it caught you off guard. VF4 is my absolute favorite even above VF4 Evo. I was away from the game for like 18 - 19 years. Hope you enjoy the content. It should be really good.
No hay nadie que hable español
No, creo.
always get this confused with Tekken. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
To words, Ring out. You're welcome! 😁
I'm pretty sure your the only one.
They're both kinda similar, but also different at the same time. Tekken is (to some extent) a button masher with flashy attacks and (mostly) fantasy style characters, while Virtua Fighter is a more grounded fighting game with more realistic characters (except for the final boss) and slighty slower gameplay.
i can't stand this blurry shit graphics, even in 4k looks like this, pcsx2 is the worst emulator
