Saw John C. hanging out at a Wilco show in New Orleans years back. He seemed so familiar to me I said "hey" because I thought I knew him.
He said "hey" back . We looked at each other for a few seconds as neither of us knew who the other one was.
Later I saw him across the top section of Tips and realized it was John C Reilly.
He still had no idea who I was.
Pat Sansone had his foot on the monitor all rock and roll like and did several windmills.
I can't believe I just read this!! The exact same thing happened to me when i randomly met John C Reilly! So crazy. It was the strangest celebrity meeting moment ever... same thing, he just seems like your friend!

Woody used the melody of this song for This Land Is Your Land. Also the Carter Family recorded the most famous version of When The World's On Fire.
But true folk songs cant really be "ripped off" - that assumes that someone owns the song, which isn't the case for songs that were, for most of their existence, passed through oral tradition.
