- It's possible that no one loves Randy Rhoads' guitar playing as much as Tommy Colletti does, and it's very possible that no one cares about making an incredible Jackson Custom Shop guitar as much as The Music Zoo does. That's why we've been driven for years to make some of the best odes to the legendary guitarist as we can...introducing our latest dream come true: the Jackson Custom Shop RR-VS.
VS stands for 'Vintage Spec' where we're returning to some appointments found on Randys original Jackson guitar that haven't been available for a while: brass hardware, the old-school script Jackson logo on a smaller-sized headstock and the subtle but significant difference of smaller Sharkfin inlays.
More RR-VS guitars are on the way in a variety of finishes and bridge configurations from Floyd Rose tremolos to fixed bridges. Contact us to find out ETAs and put your name down on one!

This is the stuff that dreams are made off the one Jackson V to rule them all.
This is the REAL jackson!
That red V is beautiful man, I have 3 Red guitars but I will take another one 😂 thanks for the share man.🎶🎵🎸✌️🍺
I would definitely want that guitar that sounds astoundingly majestic.
Hey man
I grew up in queens
And Sam ash had one years ago
I would just go and stare at it
What I truly want is a Robbin Crosby inspired King V (22 frets of course) or the larger bodied Kelly without the extreme cut with 22 frets.
I have 7 pro series jackson guitars and one x series there all well built the action is in the weeds no fret buzz I'm a jackson man for life get your shred on
Aside from the glorious brass hardware and finish, that original Jackson logo looks incredible. I love the smaller inlays as well!
A line of King V's in this spec would be incredible.
I own a PCS one, which is the best-looking and sounding guitar in my collection. I have been searching for this guitar forever, and it has always been the Holy Grail of guitars for me.
Awesome!
Great story, they are going to sell immediately, legendary
thank you!!!
These are so cool!
Love it.
Tommy, that is some serious shredding!
Thanks Steve!
The Jackson RR Is the most badasa looking modern guitar!
correct!!!!
@@themusiczooI'm emailing Jessica right now! Sweet!
Couldn't find any of these on the website.
❤this!!!!
I had an early RR student model in this color..it had dot inlays and had the SD Distortion in the bridge slot and SD Jazz pickup in the neck slot...the serial # was under the last fret on the Rosewood fingerboard..it was like this. RR 0537..it was swiped from me in 1990 and I never got it back..got it used in 1988.
If you want to be COOL, you need the Brass/Gold Truss Rod Cover with the RR Logo from
#RollsRoyce. It is like the Quarter on the EVH Frankenstein. #Iconic. #FretsOnTheNet will make the brass truss rod cover for you, but you need to send in a template from your actual #Jackson Guitar for exact fitment. Great craftsmanship.
Notice on the #MusicZoo #Jackson RR-VS, the toggle switch is on the pickguard between the knobs. I think the original #Rhoads might have the toggle switch on the edge of the top wing.
I want one with the Kahler!
R. I. P. Randy R.
✨❤✨🎸✨👑✨
Awesome!! May I ask which Duncans are in them?
a Jazz in the neck and Distortion in the bridge! Thank you for asking
So want one of the RRT's with the brass. Current RRT-5 has an unfinished neck on the back which I don't care for. What's the big deal about painting the neck black?
Really like the idea, but not releasing one in the concorde color scheme seems criminal to me.
How much is the version behind you WITHOUT a Floyd Rose?
I don’t see any of these on the links you provided in the description. Am I missing something? Thanks!
The first batch sold out as soon as we received them... there's more to come. You can always call our sales team and get your name on one
What is Tommy playing through?!? Sounds so good! Gteat guitars and playing!
Hi Brandon, EVH Iconic... Ill send you the settings...
@@TommyColletti Can you send them to me as well sir? absolutely killer tone!
@@TommyCollettithanks, I look forward to the settings😁 great demo and guitars. Ordered a couple myself!
I like #TonyZoo thinking like a 14 year old when running a business. I called #GroverJackson myself....in the 1980s. That's like calling #LesPaul in the 1950's. I want one of those '59 Bursts!!!
@nycshelbygt500 I was in Gracin's Music in Hempstead NY and owner Berny Gracin called Grover and put me on the phone with him. But had I known his number and who he was I may have called him myself... That wasn't common knowledge back in 1982... no internet and I had no idea Jackson was affiliated with Charvel until Berny told me in the store that day. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I am 3 years too late!! After #PeteThorn reviewed an original #Jackson RR3 Prototype made for #RandyRhoads himself, I spec'ed a #Jackson #Rhoads #Concorde thru the #Jackson Custom Shop. 2-3 year wait....so I'm dying almost 2 years in. Looks very much like the #MusicZoo RR-VS Vintage Spec. So avoid the huuuuuge #Jackson Custom Shop wait, and jump on these classic beauties. The 14 year old inside of you will Thank you. Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. That RR-VS Red Sparkle is NICE!! Hopefully, a white Jackson Concorde RR-VS will be an option.
What I want to see is a Jackson "Vinnie Vincent" Rhoads model guitar, painted gold as well as neon pink with Seymour Duncan zebra '59 neck and EMG 81 bridge pickups, along with the Original prototype non fine tuner Floyd Rose vibrato bridge and the prototype "crude" style pointed headstock. Now THAT'S what I call a tribute! If it weren't for Vinnie, none of us would even be PLAYING Rhoads guitars!
Is it poplar?
Don't understand the hate for Kahler.
The biggest gripe was their locking nut. That’s why you see so many longtime Kahler users are using a Floyd locking nut
Try it, you will understand it
Agreed. Theyre awesome!
unfortunately the tune o matic version doesn't have the small inlays like Randy's, which is another missed opportunity.
We do the string-through (tune o matic ) version with small inlays as well. We had one which sold before we did the video... Thanks
I want jackson to make a Robbin Crosby firebird that normal people can afford
When is Gibson--since Jackson apparently can't do it anymore--gonna do a Jackson-style Firebird?! Why does Gibson continue to punish guitar fans like this?! Tell me people would not freak out if Charvel/Jackson put out a non-custom Shop version of those old '80's-era FBs?? They have been doing DeMartini's guitars proper for years. The world NEEDS an official Robbin Crosby Firebird!!(Or whatever 'official' name they decide to give it!)
Charvel/ Fender have NOT been properly doing DeMartini guitars , particularly the snakeskin model! The original guitar had a "soloist"style body with shallow cutaways - like on a strat- but kept the thinness intact. But when you look at the current production version they use the standard shape with deep cutaways. That is not the way it should be! They probably do it to save time and labor costs for themselves, yet charge us an arm and a leg for this pathetic piece of junk.
Maybe one day the Gotoh 1996T will get the praise it deserves! Better than the floyd. Comes stock with a big brass block, locking mounting post's, pop in arm. And does not Is cost as much.🤘 Yeah the guys that made the original edge Trem know what they're doing😁
Gotoh products rule! I got an '86 Japanese made Squier Stratocaster with maple neck that has Fender branded Gotoh tuners on it and I constantly tuned and retuned the guitar because of different musical keys I play in. After 37 years, they still work like a charm! 👍
Meh I had an RR1 I didn’t like the shape a full size V is easier to hold and play IMO. Please do a video when those Peavey Vandenbergs come out.
We'll do a video of the Peavey Vandenbergs for sure once they hit our door. Patiently waiting. Thanks!
Is that how they originally placed the jack output? horrible when sitting down with the guitar....
that is indeed where the output is on Randys guitar!
@@themusiczoo i guess Randy wasnt much of a sitting down guy hahaha. Not too practical but i love how you guys stuck to how it originally was. Hats off!
@@martijnandriessen8073 LOL who had time to sit down when youre rockin out with Ozzy!
It's a comfortable guitar to play sitting down. The best way is to approach it like you are playing a classical guitar
I prefer kahler
No double action Floyd Rose? Crappy action.
Top mounted ones are special))
Poor guy doesn't know how to set up a FR.
@@ScreamAndFly poor of your mother
Jacksons are great guitars. Played them for years. Unfotunately you need to take out a second mortgage just to buy one. Sorry no guitar is worth what they ask these days.
It's a completely hand-built guitar, with no machines or computers. Old School... It's worth it
I have 3 of the Soloist SL2H-V guitars from The Music Zoo, they are the best guitars I have ever owned in my 28 years of playing.
