Man I am so sorry for your loss, for his family, and to everyone that’s experienced the suddenness of trying to cope with friends & loved ones who leave us way too soon or unexpectedly. ❤
Just lost my grandpa/riding buddy to cancer as well, keep on truckin man the bike is BEAUTIFUL! He would definitely be proud of this build as would my Pops :)
Beautiful bike Scotty would or was smiling ear to ear when you took the first ride past. I think both you guys agreed on the electric kicker..lol. Hope you get to ride it often again what a beautiful bike. Great job….FTW
Im sorry about your friend. My best friend has pancreatic cancer, last stages. He is 58 and has 4 daughters. Cancer is Evil.. Scotty lives every time you ride that beauty !
OMG this is the OHV S&S engine. Had no idea it looked so good! Worth every penny in my opinion. And the upgrades are essential. Not sure why they did 93 inches to be honest as it looks a bit too much for this frame, but I guess S&S know better! Awesome build and fantastic description. Thanks so much!
I doubt it was built better. S&S does not build trash. Orig motor is worth a ton more money though! Engine case failure was not uncommon on orig. cases.
Not at all. The new KN was originally developed in Delsbo in Dalarna, Sweden, by a bunch of classing racing gear-heads, who started Flathead Power to make Flathead parts that was otherwise out of production. They particularly created their Knucklehead to be a better engine than the original, with higher precision, better materials, a modernized lubrication system, better seals and better bearings in better materials. They later opened up shop in the states, as their reliable Knuckle got popular, and was then bought by S&S, who has much better machining resources, but the Swedes are somehow still involved afaik. I use to race in the same events, but in a different class.
Would love more specs, parts list/venders. What’s the difference between the 46-47/ 54 frames/cases. From the sounds of it definitely flywheels etc design difference but cases to frame differences?

Sure glad he left the radio on in the background, that really adds to the video.

Haha, I wish they made even bigger versions of the KN. 😁
The original Knucklehead was probably built better then the modern S&S, closer tolerances, and way more bearings.

As much as I hated to see the modern brakes, its a 93 inch six speed ! So, yeah, Disc Brakes where a good idea !

Would you sell this machine
Who made your frame and fork?
The frame is a 54 Panhead style frame from Dyno Fab Custom Cycle, in London, Ontario, Canada.
