It's so heartbreaking that the people who took on Jimi's estate have made it so inconvenient to access his music without claiming copyright, considering Jimi himself would be disgusted at the idea of his music being anything but free.
More to the point, most of us have already spent hundreds of dollars over the years on albums, cassettes, cds, vhs tapes, dvds and even blu rays. Maybe I just wanna watch or listen to something I already have without having to load it into my phone/pc etc?
@michael mcclaim "more to the point" yet you made another point. Well some of us haven't nor will ever spend hundreds of dollars on VHS, cassettes, CDs and DVDs, but will listen to the music regardless.

@@tommyzupan4971 He wasn't killed by his manager or his GF, Hendrix was a very very heavy drug user, he used heroin, painkillers, Valium, sleeping tablets, cocaine, LSD and probably more, he was a heavy alcoholic as well, Hendrix died in his flat in London due to being heavily intoxicated with Wine and Barbiturates (a sedative like sleeping pill) he probably took a handful of them, he fell asleep in the upright position with his head tilted back where he threw up in his own mouth and asphyxiated himself on his vomit, This is how many people die due to overdose and this is 100% how Jimi lost his life.

Would you ever consider a lesson on thumb-over chord grip technique? It’s so important for the Hendrix/Frusciante/SRV style of playing, and there are no good tutorials online.
You obviously have mastered the technique, and I would love for you to share if there were exercises you used to develop your expertise.

Everything Jimi loved and spent his soul putting out has been used and stolen from him even in the grave. He was used and abused by the people around him from the start. Now they're still sucking money from him with no say from the master. Jimi Live at Royal Albert Hall is an example of greed at it's finest.
Correct they took complete advantage of a young man who loved to perform and was eager to please.... they get their hooks in and play the young musicians when they are young and nieve and by the time they have done 10 years of contract the musicians see what they should have earned when they see what cars and houses other musicians have ( managed well musicians) poor Jimi didn't live that long and his own family (who didn't care until he had money) picked his bones clean and continue to do so long after he is gone 😔

Practice mate, you will be able to play them then you still wont be satisfied and will want to learn more haha.
I just played along to a metronome for the first time. Dude, night and day. Learn the notes then play along to a metronome.
Took years just got foxy lady and purple haze but I could always be more consistent I love Hendrix one of my favs

Just wish you dug a little deeper into Hendrix's repertoire, there's some awesome stuff hidden amongst his classics.
My favorite never mentioned Hendrix riff is Burning of the Midnight Lamp. There's this great live version from Sweden in 1967 which basically started my obsession with guitar.

God it's so hard to choose a top10. This top 10 was missing so many riffs I was certain would be here. Forgot how many great riffs this guy created in such a short time. No list will ever have them all though. Kinda sad Izabella wasnt here though. Good video anyway.
