- Before I can cut out the transom and get to rebuilding this little Jon Boat, I need somewhere to put this outboard. Sure I could just lay it down in the dirt and it would probably be ok but for just a few bucks and some time I can build a little stand to mount it on to keep it safe an secure. If you are interested in building this little stand the link to the free plans is below. The download is free just enter $0 in the amount.

I like this design
Thank you 🤗
What a great idea! Thank you for the tutorial!
Thanks ☺️
Great design, simple build and compact compared to others out there. Ability to fold and store is great. My material cost was $14. Using the miter saw and setting at a 15 degree cut sped things up. Thank you.
So great to hear. Thanks for sharing. Yes a miter saw would definitely make it a lot easier. 👍
Great video!
Thank Ted let me know if you build it and if you make any mods to the design. Its been super functional for me i have 2 of them currently and they sure make life easier.
A modification would be cool to allow the motor to be in a large trashcan of water for running / working on them. For just having a place to put one, this is perfect.
That would be a cool addon. I usually run my stuff off a hose though that's not always the easiest with these little motors. Thanks for sharing!
Verr helpful!
Thanks 😊
An example of simple being best!
Thanks 😊
Simple and functional. 👍
Glad you like it!
Great project!
Thanks! Let me know if you build it and how it works for you 👍
Great design!
Nice! Thank you for this. Would it hold a 40hp outboard?
I think it would be fine. I weigh 160lbs and it holds me + a 25hp that weighs between 90-100lbs at the same time with no problems. You could always upgrade the hardware and add some angled bracing if you want to make sure ultimately its up to you though. Thanks for watching let me know if it works for you👍
