Quick google of the names looks like Gudrun may have had some other things as the years unfolded. This is pretty sweet, though. Should have been in a 2 pack with Triumph & Agony. That's my excuse for not knowing about it and I'm sticking to it. lol

So sad that the singer backed out at the last minute before they could become a real big band. I knew Ralf one of the guitarists and main writers and he was devistated. Amazing bloke and fantastic guitarist love you forever dude!
Apparently, judging from interviews, the singer Gudrun/Aino Laos was under a lot of pressure from all sides, with some band members being jealous of her being the centre of the marketing, and with the record companies wanting her to do a solo career but her wanting to remain loyal to the band, so in the end she decided she would do none of it. Must have been a really difficult decision for her, but I understand her reasoning.

I was blown away by the powerful blazing vocals & their captivating magnetic sound filled with catchy melodic melodies & guitar harmonies. Love the keyboard melodies & deep feel of "Jericho". Illuminated by this fantastic album of killer songs & ballads. Thank you Danny as always for bringing another incredible band to my senses!! You're Awesome as always!!
This is good for 90's I can see why a lot of these bands didn't sell well the grunge and alternative movements as well the death metal / black metal was in full flight bands like Marduk, Pantera's cowboys from he'll , nervana's never mind etc but years latter I am enjoying going through your channels thanks again \m/

Well the US was obsessed with Poison and later grunge in the 90s meanwhile the rest of the world produced the best obscure Hard Rock and Metal through the late 80s and 90s 😁🤘
As a die hard Metal head during the early 2000s when the internet came along, I have discovered all these unknown bands from the 80s-90s and bought everything on ebay, there were so many it was hard to keep up

I used to have a few friends that were Laotian bands in the 80s, but they had never used any Asian band names like this. OMG!!!! Sorry, now I know why they didn't get big. Hmmm.... I wonder, who decided to use "Gudrun Laos'" last name? We know, "Van Halen" does work....but not, "Laos." You CANNOT use a name like this. It's a joke. IF they really really really want someone's last name, then they should have used, i.e., "Hansmeyer." This might sound a little better...BUT not, "Laos." Lol. Sorry, I think this is the worst decision this band did.
