    Does your car have a feature where it tells you that the pads need replacing?

    Do you not have to undo the break fluid cap first aswell?

    Hi, one thing l noticed you did was not show opening the bleed valve a bit so that when pushing caliper piston half way back inside that it won't contaminate the old dirty fluid with the clean ABS system fluid and costing more money in last job. Why l mentioned this is because many people will watch this without HAYNES manual and try to do it this way which increases the risk to ABS also chances of high pressure in brake cap reservoir that would lead to overflow when lid is still on and air sealed shut. Did you least bleeded front when put back on, or before?

    Great video. Surprised how easy it is...however....I can’t undo one of the pad holder nuts. Like you said in the video sometimes they are very tight.
    I’ve just been using a 10 inch long socket wrench. Do you think if I get a breaker bar around 18 inches this will make a difference.
    Can’t believe I’m stuck at this hurdle

      You can do this without a windback tool .I managed with a set of large pointed nose pliers applying firm pressure while turning clockwise . be careful not to slip and damage rubbers use plenty of wd40

    I got that car too. Same colour and spec. Why does one side at the rear brake pads wear quicker than the other side. Makes a loud noise when driving. Mechanic said it isn’t worn brake pads but i said it is and i was right

    • @1NELIFE
      @1NELIFE  Před 5 lety +1

      hi thanks for the comments and advice. One pad wearing quicker than other on rear?? Could it be the handbrake is set too tight, its only on one side and if too tight will not fully disengage thus wearing down that side a bit quicker, as for noise could just be some shit or astone trapped in the disk guard..

      Hi it’s a universal Vauxhall windback tool. It comes with 2 sizes which cover most cars.

  • @TYEGaming

    You got to make sure that the friction part of the pad doesn’t get contaminated by oil. Just some advice :)
