Man, if there's one thing I've learned about kayaking it's that flipping is a matter of when, not if. We've all done it, or are due to do it any day now. Glad you recovered all your stuff. I've lost a few things along the way, but have my system pretty secure now. everything floats and/or is leashed. As always, I'm jealous of your access to blue water. Keep the vids coming!

80% of the time they are worth it. Some rivers I don’t even bring it due to the low limbs. This time I was just lazy. 😂
I felt like I was in the boat with you when you capsized! It’s never fun in a river, but better than capsizing in the middle of a lake haha
It’s definitely a little harder to retrieve your stuff in the middle of the lake. 😂

That's why i use drag chains instead. But i noticed you had your usb power plugged into the camera on the boomstick when it went under. I'm surprised it didn't kill the camera. I speak from experience. Good video though, looked like a great fam day.
I used a drag chain all the time on my Jackson Coosa. Awesome way of slowing or stopping you. A lot safer too! 😂
I use a water tight housing that allows me to have more recovery time. Also my power bank is in a small dry bag. If both remain under water for a couple of minutes or longer then I would definitely have big issues. Thanks for watching!

I noticed you dont use the Anchor Wizard much anymore. Do you prefer the power pole over it?
When the water level is low, I gravitate towards the power pole and stoping before I pass through the shoals. When the level is fast and higher I take the wizard. I’m not concerned much going over the shoal/eddy areas when it’s deeper. I also take both sometimes too. Drag chain would be good too.
