Best background on CZcams! Star Wars CCG represents!
It's so great your doing these interviews with the players. Appreciate it and keep them coming!
Thanks for watching! I’ll try and get some more this week 🙌
awesome SWCCG swag behind you; loved that game
guy was super humble and fun to play against.
Dang! Was hoping my Atlanta 2nd place maybe helped a bit 😂
Nick. The goat.
Great video - is the a link to stream for event ?
The vod is still up on the PPGEvents twitch channel and they’ll be uploading games to their CZcams channel throughout the week
I know it's a meta deck... but a Sabine interview would be pretty sick too. Just wondering how they sideboard and what not
I’ll be interviewing the Sabine player that when undefeated in swiss sometime next week
Not sure if you're watching your own video but the intro volume is insanely loud and your audio is super quiet.
Reading the comprehensive rules, they say that an action that triggers other actions needs to fully resolve before resolving any triggers. How was he able to look at the top two before drawing with inferno four?
Is there a window after paying for an action?
Great question!
Part of the cost of the trigger is sacrificing the unit. So the cost is paid, trigger the inferno four, resolve the inferno four, resolve the Palp trigger.
@@Narch22nah that’s not correct, you have to fully resolve the Palp action before the Inferno 4 trigger resolves
Yeah, I’m asking if there is a window for the trigger to resolve after paying the cost. The rules say to fully resolve abilities before resolving anything that triggers while resolving the ability, but resolving the ability is the last step in 5 steps when performing an action, so maybe the trigger resolves after the payment step? I just haven’t found clarity in the rules.
@@savagedragn An action ability is an ability indicated by the bolded word “Action.” Most action abilities have a cost in BRACKETS that must be paid in order to use the ability. Using an action ability is one type of action a player can take during their turn.
2. A player must pay the full cost of an action ability in order to resolve that ability.
After a player pays the cost to use an action ability, they resolve that ability’s effect, described by the non-bold text after the word “Action.”
Palpatine cost: 1,tap,sacrifice a unit:
Ability: Deal 1, draw.
You must pay the cost before the ability is triggered on Palp. Part of the cost is sacrificing the unit. As a result, the sacrifice COST triggers the Inferno Four ability prior to the Palpatine's ability because "AFTER a player pays the cost to use an action ability, they resolve that ability’s effect, described by the non-bold text after the word Action."
Hope this clears it up.
@@Narch22 Sorry, you're incorrect here. When you take the action "Use an Action Ability", you follow those steps, which includes playing the costs through resolving the ability. There are no windows to resolve triggered abilities in this process (like in "Attack with a unit"). Anything triggered would resolve after the Action Ability has completely finished resolving/completely finished the "Use an Action Abiility" action
Palp players, rise up
Hopefully they will do events on Saturdays in the future
Shouldn't restock not be able to draw itself because the card has to resolve before it goes to graveyard? Idk if gui cheesed that, I noticed cyclops has 2 because he understands it
SWU has different event rules than magic. In SWU, as soon as you pay the resources and "play" the card, it goes to the discard pile, THEN you do what the event says to do.
@frankwmyers unless it's something like vigilance or something like that?doesn't make sense to me still, star wars especially is really picky with resolving card effects as well....had someone ask abt shoot first with rukh and it went into a whole ordeal....guy that he could kill anything and rukh wouldn't lose shield, for context
@@robbieanderegg664 you're right about the complications. It is settled that every event is played by exhausting resources, placing the card in the discvard pile, then doing what the card says to do
@@frankwmyers good to know 🙂 thank you for the insight
Frank is totes correct 👍🏼
please lower the volume of your intro and or match the audio of the interview .
I’ll keep that in mind in the future, thanks 🙌
