My wife found this video while searching online, we had our honeymoon in Alvor in 2016 and had another holiday the following year too. It's a beautiful area and obviously holds a very special place in our hearts. We saw the road train that went from the harbour around the town, ideal for spotting those authentic tiles on the house fronts! Outside of Alvor we went to the FIESA sand sculpture park and also Zoomarine, maybe ideas for future videos? Love the channel folks, bringing back great memories to keep us going during the pandemic so thank you very much for all you do. Oh and that black hole slide at the waterpark looks like the worst thing!

So just for Samantha... Sangria is like a wine cocktail or punch. Really easy to make your own with Red Wine, sparkling water, dash of brandy or congac, chopped fruit, oranges, apples etc and I really like adding a cinnemon stick. Some brown sugar is nice too! Enjoy!
Sounds lovely, will have to give it a go making our own. We’ve been drinking bottle version but would be nice to try a homemade batch....p.s it’s also rocket fuel 😳😳😳😆

Hi we have just watched your blog around Alvor. This was our 1st holiday together and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in this fantastic place, so much we have been back twice more. There are some lovely restaurants and bars and we were so happy you had breakfast at the Albar Snack bar. We had our 1st meal in there and we have made some lovely friends that we still are in contact with, from there. We have booked to hopefully go back in 2022 and we really cannot wait to sit in the lovely beach for the days again

Great vlog, my wife and I have spent a few Canadian winters escaping to the Algarve, we did not know about Alvor, we must go as we enjoyed your video. I noticed you liked the restaurant that had the open roofed area (garden) , if you go to Albuferia, try Casa De Fonte in old town, Another Garden Restaurant, traditional Portuguese food, the Sardines ( Mackerel) are very nice. Enjoy your road trip, we’re jealous.

They have ruined part of Alvor with the high rise buildings but the old part is a regular favourite. There is a lagoon on the far side of the bay where you can see flamingoes.

@@GoTimeTravels yes we had a fantastic meal We first visited alvor back in 1987 and found a great restaurant with a giant tree in the courtyard but came across the restaurant we both visited We are back in May for 8 nights and will have a look again In the meantime happy travelling we will look out for the blogs in the future keep safe 😄
Just to let you know we found that restaurant we were looking for in Alvor which we visited in 97 in May it was called Vagabondo We had a meal there it was fantastic 😊 Guess what 5 weeks today we will be back in Alvor for our 2nd visit this year to set plans to possibly have a month or 2 next year Hope you have had some great holidays this year take care 🙂

lovely couple and great look around Alvor! We are a couple from Newfoundland, loved your accents, last time we were in Ireland, we kept getting asked "where are you from in Ireland" lol. Nope, we just talk the same here. We are heading to Alvor for 21 days of a 6 week stay in Portugal starting Jan 13th 2023. Thank you for a nice look at where we will be staying for awhile!
Great videos and happy to see you´re having fun but one remark though: eating the fish "dry" is like, i dont know... going to Dublin and not having a pint of Guinness! You must try it with extra virgin olive oil!!!

Hey! Would you recommend Alvor for a female solo traveller (late 20s)? I've never been abroad alone before and I was thinking of going to Portugal. I've seen a hotel in Alvor booked through tui and just wondering if I'd be safe walking around during the day, or even going to Lagos/Portimao for the day? The only thing is I wouldn't be going to any bars on my own! Thank you!
Hey there! Absolutely, Portugal is really safe 💯 and definitely recommend Alvor, it’s such a beautiful town with a very relaxed atmosphere, totally safe. People are so friendly and so kind, you won’t have any issues at all.

@@GoTimeTravels Fellow Dub here .I was in Portugal over Christmas and New year .It was all open then but everywhere had to close at 10 pm .Being of retirement age that was no hardship .I noticed i kept getting pulled up though for not covering my nose with the mask in Shops and public transport .Here in Dublin that almost never happens .Just discovered your Channel and subscribed .

Praia Da Marinha in Lagoa is one of our favs, ponte de Piedade in Lagos is incredible, Benagil is amazing and there is a little private beach at the end of alvor beach (in the direction of portimao) that’s worth checking out

In the algarve we’ve had the option of both super bock and sagres as you said, we are more inclined to go for Sagres 😆 we prefer it over super bock 🍻

Im glad you guys like our little corner. And if you are house arquitecture addicts, you'll find some funny house in the north too, Porto, Guimarães, Coimbra.

Hey! Would you recommend Alvor for a female solo traveller (late 20s)? I've never been abroad alone before and I was thinking of going to Portugal. I've seen a hotel in Alvor booked through tui and just wondering if I'd be safe walking around during the day, or even going to Lagos/Portimao for the day? The only thing is I wouldn't be going to any bars on my own! Thank you!
Hey there! Absolutely, Portugal is really safe 💯 and definitely recommend Alvor, it’s such a beautiful town with a very relaxed atmosphere, totally safe. People are so friendly and so kind, you won’t have any issues at all.

@@GoTimeTravels Fellow Dub here .I was in Portugal over Christmas and New year .It was all open then but everywhere had to close at 10 pm .Being of retirement age that was no hardship .I noticed i kept getting pulled up though for not covering my nose with the mask in Shops and public transport .Here in Dublin that almost never happens .Just discovered your Channel and subscribed .

Praia Da Marinha in Lagoa is one of our favs, ponte de Piedade in Lagos is incredible, Benagil is amazing and there is a little private beach at the end of alvor beach (in the direction of portimao) that’s worth checking out
Algar Seco (near Carvoeiro) is an unbelievable spot also…
