For anyone considering the iPhone 14, I would suggest going with the iPhone 13 or iPhone 13 Pro instead. The iPhone 14 is basically a downgraded iPhone 13 Pro.

In Canada for us iphone 13 is 999 and iphone 14 is 1099, 100 dollars difference. Right now I have an iphone xr, would it still be worth it to change to 14?
It just makes sense to get the 13. Still a very reliable phone, cheaper now, gets iOS 16, etc. The 14 was the laziest upgrade I've seen them do in a long time.
Even the upgrade from 11 to 12 was different but 13-14 are the exact same

I just got my iPhone 13, 5 months ago. Honestly, i am kind of glad that there isnât any big difference between 13 and 14. Because like this, i wouldnât regret that i havenât waited for iPhone 14 instead.

I got the iPhone 13 2 months ago. I finally upgraded from the iPhone 8+ which was a huge! Upgrade. So knowing not much, if any change has happened for the iPhone 14 is great! I was trying to wait but my iPhone 8 was literally breaking apart piece by piece.

Rocking an iPhone 14. Upgraded from the SE2 and I love it. But I used a friendâs 13 and couldnât tell a difference. Honestly, if you have a relatively new phone and are looking to upgrade, go with the 13 but if the 14 is cheaper through cellular plans, like how I got mine, thereâs no reason not to go for it.

$800-$900 (and much more expensive in other countries) but still 60Hz, still no telephoto. Then thereâs the same chip as last year (+1 GPU core) and the new camera features literally can be brought to the 13 series with a software update since itâs mostly software features and they have the same chipset and cameras. If you really want an iPhone just get the 13.

Well using iPhone 13 and i was thinking of upgrading to the iPhone 14 if it had 120hz refresh rate. Now I would happily continue using iPhone 13. I feel anyone considering to buy iPhone 14 should buy IPhone 14 plus for the bigger screen or buy the iPhone 13 itself .thereâs hardly any big difference between iphone 13 and 14 when u consider buying IPhone 14.
I bought the 14 because I am coming from the 12. The 14 has better battery life than the 13, also the new safety features are impressive . The ram on the 14 is more than the 13. The cameras on the 14 were slightly updated as well .

The biggest difference is ram. 6gb on 14 compared to 4gb on 13. Not many people talk about this but it makes a huge difference when multitasking.

Upgraded from iphone 7plus to iphone 14. Happy with it because I plan to use it for the next 4-5 years, so I decided to get the latest model than the 13. It would totally be impractical if you have the 13 then upgrade to 14. But It is really up to you and your preference :)

I've been watching Nick's video more often when I got the iPhone 13 (256gb) Blue variant. And now the iPhone 14 is released I came back and here I am comparing it all over again.
So basically on my point of view. Getting the iPhone 13 in a cheaper price is the way to go. But if you really want the plus size iPhone 14 with better ram? Then it's better especially for gamers out there.
And I'm gonna keep this iPhone 13 of mine for at least 3-5 years before upgrading
The 14s should be completely ignored this year unless you're jumping to the pro line from a iphone 12 pro or below. The 14 plus is a complete scam when you pay $100 more and get a vastly better phone.

I really like the satellite sos feature as someone who sends a lot of time in rural areas and hiking in very rural areas this feature is huge. Most people will never use it but the day you need it youâll wish you paid the extra $100
coming from an X one thing I donât like actually is the feel of a brick in my hand. rounded is just more natural and feels better. i hope they go back to something more ergonomic in the hand soonâŠ
Seeing both phones side by side, I am really starting to notice that the iPhone 14 has thinner black borders around the screen. I still donât think thatâs enough of a reason to choose the 14 over the 13 but it is a nice touch.
No they have the same exact bezel thickness. Only the pro models have supposedly thinner bezels, but even then they still look the same to me when comparing them online.

They are the same thickness. It just looks thicker because of the light purple border on the iPhone 14 vs the dark green border on the iPhone 13.

The only reason I decided to go with the 14 is because I currently have the iPhone 12 mini and I ordered the iPhone 14 plus.

Just bought a iPhone 13 in March and it's amazing. Way better than my Xs Max was, better battery life than the 12 (with double the storage) and no $100 upsell for the "biggest number" like the 14
The standard iPhone 14 is so disappointing that even Steve Jobs own daughter has mocked it. it is a waste of money, I would go with the 13 instead. even the S iPhones had faster chips. The regular iPhone 14 isnât worth it, I would call this the 13 pro lite

For the only minor updates that you discussed at great lengths, you wonder why it wasnât just called 13S.
All reviewers are failing to mention it has 2GB extra RAM which in the long term will be a benefit.

Think of 2 Boeing 747-400 jumbos ,outside they all look the same but with different paint jobs ,they all work same ,they all fly pretty much the same but inside the interiors are different and Slightly different componants ,one might have a slightly better engines.

I will say, The iphone 14 will likely be a bettee choice then the 13 in the long run. The battery is slightly better, and we shud be getting one more year of software updates for the 14. However the biggest change from a value perspective is the fact the iphone 14 is far easier and cheaper to repair, so if u plan to use the iphone you get for 4-5 years or more then the 14 will likely be better and would save more money in the long term thanks to the easier repairs. However, if u just care about the tech and are planning to upgrade within 3 years, the 13 is a better choice forsure

@@smileey. 13 Pro is so much better than the 14. The "issue" is that people are willing to spend âŹ1200 after 1 year from its release to buy one, so the price stays high. If it were âŹ850 after 1 year it would be priced correctly for what I would be willing to pay for it.

@@troythomison9804 The S22 is not a bad phone, and it's cheaper. Of course it has less years of support, worse OS, battery and heats up. But apart from that, Samsung phones after a year become interestingly priced.

Imo the 14 is gonna be the next 7 when it comes to updates. I think its gonna be cut off the same year as the 13 cuz of the chip.

When I was little I had an iphone 5 and then I switched to a samsung and now I would very much like to switch back to an iphone as I didn't have one of the newer models as I only had an iphone 5. The only reason I want the iPhone 14 because of the new yellow color that just released, that is my only reason to purchase the iPhone 14. If anything I'll go get the iPhone 13 there is really not a big difference the 13 and 14 both look the same. The only difference is the colors no one will be able to tell the difference.
I have an iPhone 8 and I will for the 14 which is has the the crash detection, emergency sos satellite, 6 ram and better battery, will be supported and receive more updates in the future. I donât really care about the dynamic island bc I wonât even use it. I donât care about 3 camera lenses bc Iâm not a photography lover. As long as I can perfectly watch CZcams, do Instagram, TikTok, Snap thatâs all I need and the 14 just does that. The 14 may look the same as the 13 and itâs very disappointing but itâs still the iPhone 14 so itâs still amazing to me.

In all honesty coming from a IPhone X I got the 14âŠ.only reason I didnât get the pro was because it sold out near me but now having it since Saturday I can honestly say I basically got a pro model for a standard iPhone price with more featuresâŠif you have a 13 or even a 12 itâs understandable that a upgrade is pointless but me coming from a X the upgrade is substantially better I canât complain at all đ on top of the fact that I got the phone half off so I payed less the the 13 pro is now đ Iâm chilling

I got the sierra blue iPhone 14, upgraded from the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. For ppl who keep commenting to upgrade to the 13 pro. I only upgraded to the 14 cuz the only had promotions for the 14 phones. Just to switch your device. For the iPhone 13 they had a different promo which is to add an extra line which is something I donât need since itâs just myself. & didnât like the color selection for the iPhone 14 pro or pro maxes. Very disappointing so I settled to just get the iPhone 14 since it had the sierra blue color. Blue is my favorite color. So I chose what I felt was reasonable when it comes to what I normally use the phone for. Donât really use the cameras all that much. Only occasionally when I go out to places & events.
How is display colors compared to galaxy?
I got a iPhone 13 Pro Max a few months ago. I love it. I donât see any major difference in the iPhone 14 pro max besides the action features, the dynamic island, pics look so similar.
Always on display & double the brightness in direct sunlight too.
@@fijiwill2237 the always on display i would never use i think it would use up to much of the battery display.
@@rachelheart843 it runs at 1hz when always on is active while the display is face up, the screen goes to sleep when face down and in your pocket so no it doesnât waste essentially any battery.
@@rachelheart843 I agree with you. Some CZcamsrs are already saying theyâre turning it off to save battery. Anything thatâs on even at 1hz will eat your battery. I bet there will be bugs and people will complain about it draining their battery. Just wait. After this week and watching reviews I will be sticking with my 13PM as well. Itâs still a beast. Battery health just dropped to 98% last night after a year.

Iâm stuck between the 13 or 14 the 13 is $100 cheaper but i keep seeing people talk about the ram isnât enough. I currently have a iPhone 11 paid off waiting to upgrade. I would like dynamic island but donât really need all the features that come with the pro models price. Wish the IPhone 14 at least had the dynamic island that would make this choice easier
The other thing is with the internals. 14 has better internal design that makes it way cheaper to repair of the back glass breaks.

Upgraded from iPhone X to iPhone 14.. definitely worth it for me.. will definitely keep it for the next 2-3 years..
BTW the base iPhone 13 here in the Philippines is currently priced at around $850 (â±49,990) to $900 (â±52,490)
Today and the day before that saw an iPhone 12 and 13 side buy side I didnât notice much difference except that the 13 had an brighter screen idk that could be that I have an 4th gen iPad Air and it shares the same chipset with the iPhone 12 so I am used to itđ€·đœââïž .tbh in mid 2023 I donât know which one would be the better deal to get honestly đ€·đœââïž I wanted to get an Xs max but I really like how my iPad performs and it would be slower and I would like an s20 ultra fast better cameras but even then iPhones have longer software support idk that s20 ultra is better in every way on paper 120 hz display vs 60 but the 12 is newer I could get an 11 pro max but even then itâs not future proof doesnât support 5G and there pretty expensive on Amazon so my list is Xs max with that max amount of Storage ,s20 ultra,iPhone 11 pro max ,iPhone 12 or 12 pro max ,iPhone 13
at this point it's more woeth it to upgrade to the 13 because of the price point the 14 diesn't have much on the shelf so the pro series are the more desirable
iPhone 14 has a new easily repairable back glass⊠have you seen this yet ? They went back to the old iPhone 4 design where you can just remove the screws and pop the back glass off .. the battery and logic board sit right there for easy repair âŠso they did actually do a great deal of design change on the insideâŠ
Yes. The thing is that it's not worthy even of an S level upgrade. If you have a cover, that feature has virtually the same value. If you break the glass anyway, other parts of the phone would most likely be damaged too.
