In this episode we visit a giant industrial wasteland in Belgium, a cokes factory which closed in 2014.
It's a place we've been several times during the years.

The scale of what previous generations built never ceases to amaze me !
This factory still is one of the coolest area's in the Benelux to see. Love your videos guys!
Thanks for watching Maikel ! :)
I worked in a coke plant in Oklahoma during the 70s and 80s, only we didn't burn Coal, we used gas and oxygen to burn Petroleum Coke and change it into Carbon for the Steel and Aluminum industries. This location is just like where I worked, with everything turned Black for the dust, Even the ground outside the factory, all Black... Thank you for the tour AND for educating me about Coal Coke plants...
Welcome to Belgium, where a facility that's been left for a few years looks worse than most of Chernobyl
It is not decaying to just nature..
It shows that your nature is strong and healthy, being able to destroy a city in a few years
@@srfhdx5584 nah it shows that even before a building is finished in Belgium the owners stop maintaining it...
@@cyberbetica industrial stuff in Belgium looks ridiculously deteriorated, same for some average abandoned place too, in some places like Charleroi for example some still functioning buildings look abandoned lmao
I hope it isn't as radioactive though!
I love big Industrial Places, there is so much to explore and you can spend days in there.. The Videos are getting better and better! I would love to explore this site by myself😳
Greetings from Luxembourg my friend👌🏻
@@BasBruurs just watch where you walk should be fine. But yes always bring a friend that's good advice. If you get stuck or something.
Thanks ! There are a lot of industrial places nearby you too :)
They have security in weekends, so be carful
really enjoyed this video. it's amazing how fast nature can reclaim itself, like the large group of blooming poppies (near the beginning of the film).
This exploration is destined to be a classic. Nice work as always. 👍👍👍
Great explore of that old place, love looking into places like that.
geweldig om te zien
Man i love urbex so much
This place is magical
You feel so little when standing in the steel city
Love the videos brothers
I recently "found" you guys on CZcams and I want you to know i am VERY interested in exploring old, abandoned places. I love your videos. Make more !!! Thank you !!!!!
I am always amazed at how nature takes its course and slowly takes over the building.
I luv the last part of video on last building...soooo relaxing...thank you!
Great as always 👍
Good stuff, thanks for sharing.
Hell yeah. This was another cool ass video. Glad to see something new out from you men. New fan!!
Great job guys WOW!!! We look at these mega structures in awe of its construction and engineering, the same way we marvel over the Pyramids! Amazing video guys your voices were very clear and east to hear! Now we have to figure out how to bring the soil back to a safe level what a shame all that space!
Very interesting guys, thanks!
Excellent video thanks
Cool vid! Especially the drone shots are thrilling to watch! Eelco got really dirty :D I love how he wears beige pants to every dirty location :D
Great video again.
I wish there are more places like this in our country.
There were/are, but most is (being) demolished.
How awesome.
Amazing
Very nice. I enjoy watching these type of videos.
Have you seen my most recent episode? I swam to an abandoned aircraft carrier
Epic.
Really loved this place! such a shame that its disappearing at a surprisingly fast rate :/ Good video!
Muito bom, amo seus vídeos. obrigado.
Very cool lads
Super video 👍👍👍
its a real nice place is very big the orenge factory its ols amezing
Has the same eerie old huge factory feeling as in the game Portal 2. Cool.
Leuke locatie.
I really like big industrial wastelands. Visit Miskolc in Hungary and the Diósgyőri Acélművek. (Diosgyor Steelworks)
Massive place, like this one. Some buildings are still in use, but the majority are completely abandoned. (Except some patrolling security) We got caught, but luckily only at the end so we saw almost everything.
when you get caught, im assuming they just escort you off the property with a warning not to come back again, otherwise you’ll be arrested if they see you again.

Beautiful decay, man is that massive joint ugly, even when it was in operation!
Still want to go here, have been in cockerill sambre, was also quite impressive...
interesting to see the different generations of technology built on and around each other; this site must have been in operation for a very long time.
It was! Thanks for checking out😁 We’ve also been to another factory with a lot of different building styles and explored it from 2008-2020
Nice 👍 10+
Must feel good to get out again. Bet you’ve been going stir crazy after recent events. Know I have 🤪
Just W0W 🐞
Sensory Overload
When i see abandoned places like this, places where perhaps thousands of people would have worked, i can't help but wonder where they are now. If they went on to work elsewhere. How many lives were affected by this place closing.
Also how many were impacted during the build ? I assume the land is now hazardous the drink is a waste product and most ppl pay to consume it. What a waste
Another spectacular episode 👏🏻👍🏻🙌🏻 Perhaps in good time they can find investment from both sides of the pond, get clean technology and remedy the unfortunate accident.
Gave locatie weer heren!
Thanks mate! Een klassieker in de buurt 😁
Millions of tons of iron an steel, holy dam
Wow! If you guys could incorporate that "smellaraound" like like Disney does with Soarin, The burnt oil, the foliage, Rust and even the mold you claimed to smell through your masks, would be an awesome experience, I live Vicariously through these videos since I am handicapped and I am grateful for all the risks you guys take making these for US! Thanks!
No way, I have a coal factory in my city, it gives the same vibes and it could be cool if you come and visit it! You have to come in Italy tho
Which one? Seen several ones in Italy😇
We got caught while exploring this facility
Oops! Were they working there? Been there a few times but never got caught
OMG 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱..... Bro...............
40:10 actually anglo-american machines. This one was built in England. Perhaps it was easier to ship from there to Belgium than from the US
30:57 Like! 🤣
Such a complicated factory. Do you think there was one person who knew the whole layout and knew what everybody was doing?
Nice work again guys. Whats the music around 37:00? Stunning
OH HELLO THERE
Hey Guys Having worked in and delivered to many huge Industrial locations . I had the opportunity to get private tours of many . All different industries . The thing I notice most is how Peacful these places are once Abandoned . When they were operating they were so noisy . If the person giving you the tour tried to tell you somthing by yelling you couldn't understand anyway . Lol . Tks
Some times i wish the whole world was abandoned
Careful what you wish for.
31:28 What did Eelco do? Limping around :D
He wrecked his ankle !
@@ExploringtheUnbeatenPath Yikes ! :p
I can tell it hurted like hell for days but no reason to abort our mission ;)
dat Lidl bag tho..
Nice URBEX
How convenient. Someone cut a hole in that fence so recently the clippings are still were they fell in frame.
We don’t take tools. Copper thieves are active in this industrial area with big tools and make sure there are entrances. If you don’t believe me I can send you some videos of that😉
You need to go to Borowo i notrhen Poland is a bóg abonenda sommer camp thath no one was wisiting in 20 years and they see the place is hunted
15:41 😮
Brazilian here
Did anyone see he dudes rucksack at around 21:25 as he turned away from the window the flap on his bag lifted and then fell again, might have been wind but looked strange!!
There’s also a sound when it is lifted!
👏👏👏
I am third to comment waiting for your videos love you stay safe
Any chance you will be shipping internationally (Canada) soon? Really would like the books.
Shipping costs almost doubled now.. you can still order them though 😄 I’ll have another look at the recent costs
@@ExploringtheUnbeatenPath I have sent you my info via your site for shipping information, let me know

Wat is het paarse spul?
you'l have the petrogal refinery in matosinhos soon enough
Where is the scene at 00:15 in the intro? The flying saucer concrete structure in the snow. Is there a video for this, couldn't find it.
Sam Smith
The video still exists. Search for Buzludzha monument.
All them fond memories trapped in the environment.
They should make this a COD map 😎
Barbed wire usually means something but razor wire means KEEP OUT !
👍👍👍💪💪💪
Iknow that place you have seen that abandoned trailer?
Hi from Australia How long was this plant in operation for ?
In romania era de mult fier vechi!
Support these guys on Patreon because what they rob out to the places they break into doesn't keep them in drugs and hookers.
Hi ! I am from Liège but I never visited this place. Where did you enter from ?
This place is in Liege?
Lots of more places in Belgium like this, maybe a little smaller. PM me if you want more details.
Man this place must have been hard to run safely at full power 😎👍🇳🇿🌈💪✅😊
What is this place in 0,16 sec. ???
where tho? i am a school reporter and would like to make someting about the factory and the history could u share the location?
6:26
hammermill made in england.
Openly accessible buildings are alright for urbex, but with all the barb wire you have to go through, this looks like documented trespassing.
When buildings are wide open.... They're not interesting to shoot anymore. Vandalised, tagged and looted...Just ruins remain which you probably won't even watch :)
When you say Coke.... Is this the drink you mean or the stuff you snort or bang?
waar in belgie
Omgeving van Luik😎
Is there security?
Yes😁it’s mostly demolished by now😞
Please be careful in these places, it is easy to fall or get electrocuted.
We explore for almost 20 years☺️ We’ll be fine!
Hi
Hi man :)
:-)
;ㅅ;
You should be filming in 4k 60fps
1080p is good, but more would be better, especially with the nice looking footage
