Would this kind of product be suitable as a floor liner in a crawlspace that houses mechanical equipment? I would install it on top of a 12mil poly vapor barrier. Is the product sufficiently fire resistant for that application? I'd need to cover 1400 square feet.

is the ratio measured by weight or by volume?

Volume will be the most accurate. It is recommended to use a measuring jug or bucket for the granules and binder.
