There isn’t a single club in a similar situation to liverpool jack, out of a possible 24 man prem squad we have 10 players available for selection, we don’t have a single goalkeeper available in the first or youth team and we are without a manager or assistant manager. Liverpool having their game postponed is completely justified and the agenda against them as a club is just unreal.

I’m sure Andy’s maths is off with his Darren brown comment. Gamblers fallacy dictates that each option is independent of the last meaning the chance of heads or tails is 50/50 each time. The previous 9 chances aren’t taken into account.

You are right. It's 50/50 always. You can throw a die 50 million times and each time the odds of throwing a 1 is 1 in 6.
Odds is based on the available outcomes and not based on anything else. That is why your odds at the bookies aren't based on YOUR previous win to loss ratio hahaha. Though that would be funny... Losing streaks resulting in crazy long odds.
To be fair its the usual fallacy people fall for. QI did go into it. I am in games design and what we call RNG relies on this whole concept that probability is set. Say the game uses random enemies...if it can be 1 of 15 it needs to be that every time. People tend to get probability wrong that is why a whole portion of A level math is devoted to probability and statistics.
Gamblers' fallacy is correct, but getting the result of 10 heads in a row does require the calculation of a cumulative probability I believe. You need encounter 1 to go your way, then encounter 2... until encounter 10. If we calculate the chances of 10 heads in a row as 50/50, we aren't taking into account any of the previous successes/failures.

No the odds of getting three heads in a row is 50/50... Probability doesn't change based on your outcome it is based on the outcomes. 2 outcomes with only one that can appear... that is 1:2 or 50% ...
You need to go back to School, Andy. That is why there is the throwing three double six rule in Monopoly (you go to jail) because the probability is still the same 1 in 12.
