i agree. but then again that just comes with the territory of being one of the biggest POP stars in the world. i prefer her deep cuts a lot more than her mainstream singles.....i feel like she'll at some point release a full on R&B project on the side. or maybe even making her dreams come true and doing a broadway show. Either option would really be a playground for her voice.

My opinion is that she shouldn’t have started off with Imagine, or at least not have followed it with so many songs. I wish it had been Imagine from start to finish so she could carry the emotion like Demi did. Regardless I love the vocals on Imagine and My Favorite Things.
@@lahfjjd she was getting back at Mac's snub last year and made it about him . It took too much out of her .... and as for her multiple snubs , I would never go back .
Lah Fleury even if it wasn’t her best performance, I don’t think a lack of emotion was the problem. It was actually that was getting emotion and seemed, to me, lack she was trying to pull it back. Plus it was her first Grammys performance since 2014, I think. Could’ve have been some nerves too.

I worked at 6 Ariana events and I find she has a little girls voice. Maybe that is the attraction, but she is no way the power house compared to Floor Jansen of Nightwish or Simone Simons of Epica. In a vocal battle on another channel between Floor v Ariana, Floor defeated her.

Floor does like to experiment with her soprano vocal ability, especially with the new Nightwish album and showing her diverse abilities on Dutch show: Beste Zangers in different styles of music. I have the new Nightwish album, some of the vocal work sounds challenging. Anneke Van Giersbergen is also a soprano and experimented in projects. Tarja...she is classically trained. The only thing I can say about Ariana, she is young, so she may look towards Soprano and different musical genres in the future. Personally I prefer Sharon Den Adel of Within Temptation or Simone Simons of Epica compared Ariana.
Ariana starts with a high note and drips down. And nothing more. This is repeated in every performance. (such a showcase of one skill) Comparing it to the vocal technique of Dimash and its richness of range, styles and colors, Grande will not perform well in the choir. Maybe she should open up to the vocal technique, see the possibilities of her own voice and poetry of harmony.

In my opinion, her jaw movement makes the articulation of her runs different, and better, as it enforces the distinctiveness of each note.
