It could be so cool if you guys would do a whole house makeover! (of course, not all of it in one video)
@@suntinvacanta yes, (if they ever move out too...)
@@suntinvacanta Heck ya that would be reat

sorry I broke my keyboard

😂 oof
Aaaa, I’d like this comment, but it would ruin the 666
You know. You guys are my current role model for a couple (when I find someone) I love being hands on. And your vibe is just out of this world awesome. Keep going strong. You guys are awesome sauce.
Thank you so much! That really means a lot to hear!
Praying that the Lord brings you someone to bless your life.
I was thinking the same thing. I like that they do projects together and just seem to fit so well.

Loved this one! The space looks so much better and the moving table top for the freezer was a super clever idea!
Thank you! So glad the freezer top worked out!
I’ve watched about 8 videos of yours now, and I can’t stop watching- I found you earlier today, and I already love you guys so much
Aw thank you! So glad you're liking the videos!! ❤️❤️

Sameeeeeeeeeee,
This has become one of my favourite CZcams channels 😍
Their laundry room: cute, cozy and modern...
My "laundry room": a washing machine squeezed next to the cars in the garage
I've seen some really great garage laundry space makeovers too!
EvanAndKatelyn cant fix mine, its in the basement in the only room that's just cement. Has a huge hole in the wall leading to an empty dirt cave too. Even nice counters can't do nothin
Mines a communal dungeon in the bottom of my apartment building lmao
@@siqxyre8473 there is a solution for everything, only matter of time and money because the knowledge is on internet. Over cement you could do tiles then the hole must be covered. Or much simpler you could add plaster board over cement then the hole would not be visible. If whole is to big put some support frame in it so the plaster does not break if you put load towards it. Really not that hard.
😂😂😂sad and funny
I love how they put googly eyes on all of there appliances

My family sometimes did that too. Imagine coming home to see gigantic googly eyes staring you in the eyes on the bathroom mirror. 😂 yes, this actually did happen.👀👀
That freezer solution was sooooooo slick. Good job!
Thank you! Still loving it months later too 😁😁
You guys have such a nice touch to editing and sounding (this word feels wrong) the videos. Loved the final result!
Thank you so much! Glad you like our editing and sounding 😋😉

Music and sound effects??? Haha but sounding works too

@@JoeMakaFloe Yeah...
I was thinking the same thing. However, I have hope of a brighter tomorrow and so do you.
I love how you guy's always screw up something completely.........just like the rest of us would do. You do fix it and make it right as if you never forgot to do it. Looks great!
Failing is a big part of making! We hope showing our mistakes makes it less intimidating for others
@@EvanAndKatelyn Wow~ you guy's have so many subs & you responded to little old me. Seeing your mistakes is slightly less intimidating. Problem....I'm the one making the mistakes! Buying materials from the start is almost impossible. My husband will not help me at all, he is extremely stingy & doesn't want to buy anything. (29 yrs, lots of yelling/zero cooperation) I am 57 yrs. old & I am in the process of painting the whole house myself. You two are great, thanks for the needed inspiration!!!! Congrats on your success and 4 channels!. Take care.
At 9:38 and wondering when they will realize they just sealed off the access to the water shut off valves....gonna be a problem if they ever have a leak or a hose blow out. This build was filled with trials and tribulations but I'm glad their persevered and finished! I recommend cutting out a hatch to open for the emergencies.
We tried to make the counter easily removable (it's only attached to the top of the cubby) so although it's not super easy access, we can get to it. But yeah maybe a hatch in the future! Thank you!
Yeah I was just imagining water spraying everywhere and you guys trying to pull the counter up with a bunch of stuff piled on top of it. But with a hatch, just swipe stuff off the hatch, then reach in to shut off. :)
@@alaskankare I've had a pipe burst in the winter and had this happen without a countertop so I can only imagine the horror of trying to get that countertop off. Just shut the water off at the main before and then you can take your time.
I was thinking the same thing, depending on exactly how the plumbing is done and it looks like it is coming from above , you could move them up in the wall and change the valves over to a set of ball valve instead of the gate valves you currently have. And i also agree with someone else post about painting or polly the bottom side of the counter to keep moisture from getting in.
Love the project looks great.
Also, screwing a cabinet over a plugged in cable? Should have made another hole for the plug...
I love love loooove how real this is, with mistakes and all. It makes it almost feel possible for everyday “non-builders”, to do their own projects 😍 thank yoooou for your videos❤️
Thank you so much! We try to keep it real (and there are mistakes in pretty much every project/video!)
Such an amazing transformation!
Thank you so much!
oh my gosh it’s so aesthetic! i would love to have that in my house.
Thank you!
You guys really laundered that room to a whole new level. The counter top turned out Oak-kay at first but then you added the finish and presto, my eyes were frozen to how beautiful the whole room turned out.
I need more coffee my Dad jokes arent as fresh as usual...
Happy Friday! 🤘
😆🤣 Ahh that's awesome, it's also too early for us to reply with a proper level of punnyness. Also I sometimes fell bad for coffee... it keeps on getting mugged!!! 😜
Well if it wasnt so rich, it wouldn't get mugged! 😋
here for the sock compartment lol! from the tie dye video. love it!
evan and katelyn are my favorite channel for wholesome content and super neat projects i will never make but like to see being made lol
Haha thank you!
these two seem to have the most amazing relationship, seriously
Just found this channel and I love em already lol I like that they showed how they messed up and went back and fixed it . Idk . I just like that they keep it real tbh.
Thank you! Always try to include the mistakes in our videos
So, I just wanna say...my anxiety about starting a project has now been relieved after watching this project. I have a tall stainless steel table that I have been delaying making camping gear storage underneath (and dog food container slot) because I didn't know how I was going to make it "pretty" with the discounted oak plywood pieces I picked up from Lowe's. And now I think I have a better idea of what I'm going to do! Thanks for the inspiration, E & K!!! Glad I randomly found your videos. I'm just gunna watch them all now. ♥️♥️♥️🦄
I'm currently in covid isolation while I wait for my test results. I have watched so many of your videos over the last couple of days. Much entertainment and forgetting how miserably sick I am. I appreciate
That is a job well done. You guys are brilliant with how you present your projects. So fun and you just take on stuff and make it happen. Much respect and love.
Thank you so much! Sometimes mid-project we have doubts about if it's really gonna come together and happen but we get there one way or another!
Where did you find this music? 1920s big band with modern bass and turntable squeaks? I love it! 🙄🤔 Your finished laundry room looks great!
Agreed!
Search for "electro swing" altho this is a bit toned down / chill.
@@brantwedel thank you! I appreciate it! - Danny

@@EvanAndKatelyn thank you! I will have to look him up. Is it provided CZcams music library or another source? - Danny
I love how you are always yourselves in these videos! I also love your personalities and how they work so well together!
OMG at 8:56 they move the googly eyes to watch the light falling down,
I started watching the resin pour & you two are so entertaining that I subscribed right away. If you don't agree you don't get angry but laugh a lot so that the viewer doesn't get uncomfortable. Thoroughly enjoyable.
Thanks for showing the human "ooops!" parts too. It encourages others to try projects without feeling like they have failed if they make mistakes.
Love you two!
Thank you so much! We're strong believers in showing the mess ups 👍
There is a lot of moisture in the laundry room. You might consider a quick coat of poly or cheap paint on the bottom side of the counter to help prevent warping. You also have your adjustable shelf hanging hardware upside down. If you hang the shelf from your drilled holes the presence of the shelf itself prevents the little metal pin from falling out.
Not a bad idea about the coat of poly! We actually purposefully did the shelf hangers upside down because it meant we could get the shelf s little more flush on the sides (less of a gap between it and the walls)
I love how quickly they respond to comments! It’s so nice to see that they care :)
It does inspire! That came out beautiful. Thank you!
Aww. I love how when Kate asked which is the prettiest his immediate response was to point at her and go, "She's the prettiest."
When I first found ur channel I quickly pushed subscribe you guys are kind, funny, and most of all everything you 2ould see in a good person 😁
Thank you so much!
it's one of the first videos i've seen from your channel, and definetly one of my favorites. rewatch it from time to time, dreaming about a day when i'll have my own stylish laundry room
This looks SOOOOO good! I love the freezer cover! came out so great and so satisfying to watch you open it 😩😩!! Y’all are amazing!!
You guys are the cutest DIY couple on CZcams frankly
Aw thank you! ❤️❤️
Everything you guys do is fantastic I love it!!!
Thank you so much!
The transformation of the room is absolutely beautiful. 🙌🏼
Okay I'm just gonna say it. The editing with the music on this video was just perfect. The music choice was perfect, the timing perfect and you even remembered to lower the music when one of you were talking. I was super thankful for that. I could hear both of you wonderful people speak and enjoy watching the makeover even more.
Also the makeover was stunning! Loved it. Great job!
One tip on the painting - that stickiness you saw with the paint is called “blocking” and happens when you use wall paint on furniture. You can clear over it, but if you don’t want the extra step, it’s best to use a cabinet paint - There are tons of options there but the simplest you can get at the home center instead of specialty stores are Rustoleum Enamels, and Alkyd Enamels.
Ooooo that's a really awesome tip, thank you so much! Appreciate it!
If it was the stickiness while rolling, that is due to not using enough paint. Most people fail to use enough paint. The surface should be wet and you should not hear the roller as you move it. Primer would have helped and acrylic wall paint would have been fine over primer........it has worked fine on the cabinets I have done and it has worked fine on the hundreds, maybe thousands, of doors I have painted. Alkyd enamels are oil based, and oils do dry harder but can take a while to fully harden. Light color oils will yellow when they don't get sunlight and to paint over them again, they should be primed first and definitely can't be repainted with water based paint without priming first (water based primer is fine).
The outcome looks exceptionally neat, but I think the freezer need some more space for ventilation and heat transferring.
Thanks!! The freezer has a vent on the right side that we left uncovered and a 2" gap to the back where it can vent up 👍 the manual said that should be good
I was wondering the same thing. I have a small kitchen with NO storage. Received a chest freezer for Christmas that is in my livingroom/diningroom combo. Was looking for a way to make it blend without looking like an appliance. You guys gave me inspiration and a great idea. Thanks.
I really enjoyed this. I love that you showed coming against issues and how you fixed them. Very real and actually helpful!!
Thank you!
Love what you did with the freezer. So clever
Thank you! ❤️❤️
Looks great! You should invest in an airless sprayer though. Saves a lot of time on painting, and it leaves a smooth, even finish. Takes some time to prime and clean the machine afterwards, but if you've got a lot of painting, it is worth it.
We'll keep that in mind 😁👍
@@EvanAndKatelyn It's so awesome that you reply to comments. Your channel is going to continue to grow with dedication like this, trust me. Evan and Katelyn, you're incredible!
This channel Is pretty much the crafty, couple version of Mark Rober........ *and Im obsessed*
I start our own laundry room makeover today, inspired by you and kicked in the backside by my wife to do it. The new machines are here, but they didn't hook them up because they came with the wrong parts. So, while we are waiting for them to come with the right parts, I'm doing this project. With luck, I will get the panels edge banded, painted, and up today. Tomorrow, the install the machines. Wed. I install the countertop. By the way, I had all my wood cut to size at the BIG ORANGE BOX STORE. And, as they were out of 3/4" sanded one side plywood, they gave me a $50 credit toward two sided finished poplar board. Much better. Yay!
Good luck!!
I love how Lowe’s sponsor you. It’s not overwhelming advertising like some channels. 😍😍😍😍 Awesome makeover
Thanks! They're a really awesome sponsor to work with :D
The after looks awsome

Wow! You two do some amazing makeovers. Your laundry room turned out awesome.
You guys did this with measurements I would’ve just slap 👋 some wood together
ME:wooh, all done ✅
Haha! I wish I had that power!
EvanAndKatelyn thx for the reply but I meant it as mines would be a horrible job because all I did was “slap some wood together” and u guys actually tried and measured everything thx for the reply 😊
@@Joy-gy7nx most places cut the wood for you in store for free! just measure about four times and give them the dimensions. easy squeezy.

You guys are amazing and I love ❤️ watching your videos, your videos put a smile 😊 on my face and make me feel so happy. I love when you guys do home improvement projects
Love to see both of u have the team work. 😍
next time, i would recommend putting a plastic bag / trash bag over the roller paint tray. then, when you're done, you can trash the bag, and you dont have to spend ages cleaning out the tray. or if you want to stop for the day, turn the bag inside out, and tie it. then when you come back to it, to can flip the bag the right way round again, and put it back over the tray
That's a really great tip! Thank you!
Matthew Shaw what sorcery is this? i’ve done so much painting and never thought of this before. an excellent tip for sure
I've never actually used it, as I'm only 17, and havent done any painting/decoration, but I've heard my dad recommend it, and it makes sense in theory

Does Bud Light age like a fine wine after 4 years? Looks great, y'all!
I doubt it does.
Not at all Johnny, not at all. Trust me lol
I think it ages like... Well like cheap beer 😋😋
Bud Light is like Twinkies. 73 year shelf life.
@@EvanAndKatelyn if keeping the leftover beer from your wedding is a Texas Tradition, shouldn't you have a thrown a party with it for your one year anniversary? Like the cake topper in the freezer tradition?
At the very least, isn't free beer the bargaining chip for free labor from friends and family?
You know what. You need is 2 different signs one saying "did you level it?" and the other saying "did you glue it?"
AWESOME Guys , well planned
You two are perfect for each other and I love it.
I'm not an electrician, nor do I play one on TV, but it seems that the electrical plugs caused some challenges on this build. The 220V for the dryer required a rework on the "supervisor's" cabinet, and the 110v plug visible at 10:45 (for the washer?) required a change of the desktop trim. If the dryer/washer require servicing will it be possible to snake those power cables out without damaging the installation? Does the desktop lift off or is it screwed/glued down?
Yeah everything is removable pretty easily if we need to rework things 😊👍
Katelyn's editing is on point 😂
It's true!! - Evan
watching this as im wearing merch i got from you guys about 4 years ago! i loved and still love u guys ❤️
That looks very professional. Great job it’s very nice.
4:40 Is that a remix of "You're the cream to my coffee" by Anette Hanshaw?
I was seriously singing along. "You will always be my necessity..." One of their other videos has a great modern version of Please Don't Talk About Me When I'm Gone.
When you the wood was it called rabbits or something else I was laughing when I heard you say it and that is called it sounds funny
Ooh snap, I love what you did with that moving freezer top! Nice build!
This is actually the perfect solution to a problem ive been having thanks guys :) now to work out if i can actually pull it off
My wife and I have so many pictures and magnets on our refrigerator that we're considering getting an additional refrigerator to hold more pictures and magnets. Don't bother asking if the fridge is ever full... it never is. My appetite won't allow it ;)

"why is this beer still here"
well judging by the quick glance I had in there seems like it's still there because you served your wedding guests bud light and I'm sure that both of you have had better drinking options whenever you've wanted something.

Great job but about 99% of people will not own or have access to all the power tools you guys have. I dream of owning a workshop like yours but i also want to live fairly minimalistic so having a place filled with tools and such is not ideal for my preferred way of living though i love being creative and building stuff
It's definitely hard to be a minimalist and have a full shop - we have minimalist tendencies in the house so we understand the struggle of wanting to create and not have too much stuff!
You could also do lots of things with different tools if you wanted to. If may take more time using a Dremel tool or hand saw, but you could do it. Pick you tools wisely! It’s totally doable!
I have cut so many holes in cabinets! Even custom, high end ones. That is life!
Haha that makes us feel better, thank you!
Gorgeous!
Why do you have 4yr old beer in your fridge? Because it's Bud Light!
Bahahahaha! 😂😂
If you had a compost pile, you could have just poured it into that instead of down the drain. 😜
(or given it away to the new owners of the old fridge 🤣)
