      Please what’s the context? Better is subjective as a whole Toronto and Manila are two very different cities. Toronto is a more expensive city to live in, but it has a higher standard of living and a lower crime rate. Manila is a more affordable city to live in, but it has a lower standard of living and a higher crime rate.
      Ultimately, the best city to live in depends on your individual needs and preferences. If you are looking for a city with a high standard of living and a low crime rate, then Toronto is a good option. If you are looking for a more affordable city to live in, then Manila is a good option.
      One thing both have in common is that theyre both ranked the worst traffic. Manila is ranked as the worst traffic in the asia and the world and Toronto in North America

    More jobs for the people. Since labor is cheap there are countless jobs that are unnecessary. Gas stations have gas attendants to pump your gas, some buildings have people in the elevator Chester press the button

    likewise....once me, my mother and niece arrived in NAIA like 3 hours departure...then we fall in line for our luggage and it was still like an hour before takeoff, but they refuse to let us board because accordingly, they had already announced the last call!!! we tried to reason that we did not hear the last call since the environment was loud...the voice-over announcement but just a lady shouting for last call....since then, we never booked Air Asia again.

    Most southeast asian cities are coming out of it’s low middle class status. However, BGC is relatively new and most of the cities in the Philippines are still developing. Toronto and other north american cities are tired and in need of government support to revitalize. Is it enough to attract people to flee cities like Toronto or Canada in general?

    I disagree with your opinion with the hand carry policy. Most passengers likes to bring a backpack, tote bag or pasalubong plastic bag along with their carry on luggage. Some airlines would charge you for an extra handcarry despite the combined weight being within the 7kg allowance for each passenger. Letting passengers the liberty of spreading out their belongings to 2 carry ons for free is actually convenient & considerate.

    BGC is just a bubble, amidst the real philippines, like so many bubbles in metro manila. Just like in the Matrix, you're "welcome to the real world" once you step out of bounds. If only BGC vibe extends to all spaces in metro manila, into the suburbs, and into all cities and municipalities of the Philippines.
    Toronto is much more consistent, downtown and into the suburbs.

    Guys, did you know Thais also use spoon and fork? Serving Thai dishes with chopsticks only happens in the West as they believe all Asians have a single culture. A dish must be served in a bowl and rice sticky for chopsticks to be useful. I remember dining once in a boujee Filipino restaurant in New York where dishes were served with chopsticks and everyone was struggling with the rice looking stupid

    BGC is not in Manila. It's in Taguig -- a city on its own 2x the size of Manila.
    Don't you know any other city in the Philippines? If you end up swimming in the Pacific Ocean, still call everything Manila?!

  • @irishmoda
    @irishmoda Před 4 měsíci

    BGC is in Taguig City not in Manila

    Taguig and Manila cities are in Metro Manila 🙂

    1 BR Apartment Rent:
    Toronto: $2,500.
    BGC: $350.
    Dine Out:
    Toronto: $25 ~$50 per person
    BGC: $10~ $25
    Vibe
    Toronto: Full of Indians & Immigrants trying to make the city look like their own. No identity.
    BGC: Filipinos making their own version of New York.
    Transportation:
    Toronto: Full of bridges, highways and Mass transit. Organized bus routes.
    BGC: Grab (R.I.P.)
    Infrastructure & Scenery:
    Toronto: Old but first world. Multiple parks, open & recreational spaces. Nearby lakes and clean rivers.
    BGC. Modern and first world. Concrete jungle. No open space, lakes & outdoor place.
    I pick BGC hands down because of the rent and me being Filipino who grew up in the Philippines. Legacy is everything.

    • @figureitout6501
      @figureitout6501 Před 4 měsíci

      Rent? Lol. Two minimum wage earners in Phil can't afford a $350 BGC rent. Two minimum wage earners in Toronto can afford more than the $2500. Dine out? Lots of restau with $10-$25 and that's just an hour work (minimum). $10-$25 is almost a day work in Manila (minimum wage). Your affordability is based on an average person in Toronto and an above average in Manila. You should compare a minimum wage earner with another minimum wage earner.

    • @williammaverick
      @williammaverick Před 4 měsíci

      @@figureitout6501 Yeah of course. Put all your money on the 2.5k rent. Makes total sense. The thing is both cities aren't livable for the minimum wage earner in their respective cities but someone who has a much higher income could live better in BGC than in downtown Toronto. If you can't accept the facts, live in your beloved city full of Indians and has no identity but a mix of clashing cultures.
