What type of attraction would you like to see added to Hollywood after Nintendo?
I hope they could do a Sonic the Hedgehog themed area since Sega was interested in constructing one
A Pokemon snap ride would be great, like a more modern version of Men In Black, they could have you start in an area and through the ride go through a handful of areas based on the game with different Pokemon hiding in the environment based on what area you're in.
I'm hoping for a Monsters land after Universal Hollywood tears down those four Soundstages to the right of the Transformers ride designated for eventual theme park use. Since Epic Universe's Monsters land will be themed to Frankenstein, perhaps a possible USH iteration of Monsters land could be themed to Dracula and Transylvania, as a way to differentiate the two parks' Monsters area.
Will Hollywood get the DK expansion?
@@SpaceMountain if you look at google maps or just the land Fromm the viewing decks you can see an opening that resembles the gate that leads to the donkey Kong land at Japan. So maybe.
I really wanna hear the toads speaking English sentences here….. the Japan one had them and Toadette speaking a lot in queues, rides and the cafe
I want Toad to be voiced by Mojo Nixon 😝
I'm pretty sure it will
@@maui3551 Maybe voiced by Keagan Michel Key
@@Hamzaro64 true I mean the Mario movie is coming in April 7 2023 so it would make sense to promote it
@@Hamzaro64 support japanese people and stop giving your money to racist employees in the united states
I'd be shocked if Hollywood doesn't have at least some of the interactive elements. I would think Miyamoto himself would demand those sort of elements, since he wants a fully realized interactive world in anything he creates. Also, they can sell those bands for easy profit, so it make financial sense to put them in.
Yes it will have the interactive elements and the Bowser Jr challenge
Shigeru Miyamoto deserves a goddamn statue at the park
@@Viking_Luchador At USJ sure that can happen
@KoroxasHeart why not in the US? He's had just as big of an impact on our culture
@KoroxasHeart that is not an answer
The footprint of the Super Nintendo Land Hollywood looks quite a bit smaller than Japan's - BUT it does appear vertically bigger. I am hoping they use that space for unique interactivity, even if it is just queues - as you mentioned.
The only Universal Studios theme park to look the same as the Nintendo World at USJ will be the one at Universal Orlando
@@maui3551 it wont look the same though? They have more space there.
@@mattdaaamon The Super Nintendo World at Universal Orlando will have everything the one at USJ already has including the Donkey Kong area
For anyone worried about thier not being interactive mini game these power up bands are the money making genius of the land. Think of universal making another Harry Potter land without selling interactive wands
I agree with you
Litterally can't wait, quite honestly these bands are the shackles that will keep me from leaving the park.
For sure. I'm waiting for Disney to add more interactive mini games with magic band plus, too - M
I'm surprised Nintendo didn't go all in! They should release an "Exclusive" Mario Kart handheld that can link up to 4 units, something like the Mario and Zelda handhelds. They should also release an Amiibo exclusive to Universal that unlocks a Universal themed Mario Kart track on Switch. Grab the shovel, cash coming in! 🤑🤑
There is interactive areas, bowser jr lava for sure in Hollywood
Went to universal a few weeks ago. It was a pleasant experience! There’s escalators there, and while going on them, I got to see Super Nintendo world! (The view, not the place, it’s still in construction) and it’s looking awesome. Can’t wait to go again and discover it once it opens.
Universal l.a. sucks. It’s all outdated, especially the simpsons area. That whole simpsons area needs to go. Who wants to ride that ride from the 90’s with blurry 3-d ?
@@thewizard7099 yeah but I like it. Not a place for thrill tho.
@@Stantbzzzzz sure, but it’s such a waste of space. The simpsons area is in both l.a. and Orlando. Both areas the same layout. Both areas need to go. E.T. Ride can stay though 😁 at least that ride looks good inside and it’s nice n cool from the heat
@@thewizard7099 lol I didn’t go on simpsons. The only ones I really enjoyed was Harry Potter and the forbidden journey, revenge of the mummy (it was short tho) and Jurassic park.. but damn the wait time for transformers was 1 hour and 40 minutes and for Harry Potter roller coaster it was 1 hour and 30 minutes because we went during the light show so they kept pausing the ride time which was so damn annoying..
and we bought the pass to go to the front of the line but sometimes when we would for one ride they would say come at 1:30 and we would go on another ride but they said “you have to finish the ride at 1:30 first” so that’s why for transformers we decided to not use the pass…
@@Stantbzzzzz did you take and BLACK people with you so they may also know what this has?
I can confirm the ride has had employee riders. There was a manager only preview a couple months ago. Most of the work is just aesthetics and the extra animatronics; however, they are very far behind and very tightly working on it (verbatim from Creative personnel). I can also confirm there's only one entrance into the land at USH (by Transformers, not one by the Alley restrooms), which is going to make the land the biggest bottleneck addition to lower lot: for ALL persons, please have patience when waiting in line, even for food. We will not be able to handle the bottleneck.
Thank you for passing this info along!
@@ThemeParkStop you're welcome. I am an employee at USH, with a friend in Creative ;)
I know a couple of my coworkers(One even appears in the ad) who have ridden it.
oh no that size of the warp pipe does not look wide enough for their to only be one entrance/exit .. especially for how anticipated this is a lot of people will be showing up..
I’m surprised they were able to build such an enclosed land with only one entrance. Seems like a safety hazard.
Never thought I'd see optimus prime and mario right by eachother in a big park💀
Cool! It’s really good that we’re getting a Super Nintendo World at Universal Hollywood! By the way, I was expecting this land area to open in March 10th, 2023 for Mar10 day. That would be cool!
It will be the smallest version of all the Super Nintendo world lands
@@driverman9528 You do you and just go have fun. All I was doing was just giving my opinion without harm
Do you think the attraction is open in March 2023?
I really hope they make a Kirby part of the amusement park 💜
Interesting that they would build out a whole Super Nintendo World only to have the one ride from the portfolio
Is not just that one ride but also the interactive elements, the walking characters, and a restaurant
@Sean Elo The whole point of the interactive elements in Super Nintendo World is to get the 3 golden keys that allows you to do the Bowser Jr challenge but I can still see how the Super Nintendo World in Universal Orlando will be more amazing for having a whole Donkey Kong area
Literally that’s so unfair, ONLY the Mario kart ride? Seriously?
It's Hollywood, unless they can get rid of all of the studios, the best they can do is make mini worlds. There just isn't space for it.
@@coherentpanda7115 I also agree with what you said. Universal Orlando has the space to make bigger lands that still feels very immersive so that's why they can do it here in Florida
I'm patiently waiting for the wonderful Land of Hyrule to be an attraction.
I hope we get an animal crossing section, and Id really love to see how they pull off a zelda section
I wanna know how they do it since Zelda is a bit more adult instead of for everybody like Mario is and it's not as big as Mario is. Maybe something like a shooter game but with archery.
I wonder how they will create attractions based on Zelda, Fire Emblem, Metroid, Star Fox, Kirby, Xenoblade, animal crossing and Kid Icarus. and if they are with people dressed as characters from Zelda, Xenoblade or Fire Emblem I don't know how they will do it considering that several female characters of those three mentioned wear provocative outfits like Pyra and Mythra or Urbosa
@@SebastianCastro-tp9vh You have to remember spaces are limited, Nintendo will most likely go with their most popular intellectual properties when it comes to the theme parks.
Zelda is one of the most popular Nintendo game franchises, along with Mario, if they do not include Zelda at all, then it will be boring with just Mario. I am not dissing Mario, but it is not the only big Nintendo game franchise out there.
@@sonicfreak04 well i was just asking because they have plans to expand the park and possibly it will be very successful seeing that people are turning away from disney because of the legal battle against rondesantis and parental child protection.
I'm just glad we got Super Nintendo World in Hollywood in the first place. I don't care if it's smaller because I thought it was only gonna be in Japan anyway.
Man 11 year old me would've been crying tears of joy and excitement and while I'm still hyped it just isn't the same as a depressed 20 year old
Now imagine if they did some kind of mash up thingy between this, Tour, and Home Circuit. That would be revolutionary.
Universal parks are on the right track. Let's just hope they are learning from Disney's mismanagement and disregard of patrons.
Amen!!
I think they will do better, I have always seen better with Universal parks compared to Disney! In almost everything!
Imagine all the streetpass tags people are going to get with their 3DS systems!! Since Switch is a home system, and 3DS Nintendo's most recent handheld, clearly people are going to be taking their 3DS systems there, so I can't wait to play some New Leaf, 3D Land, and Nintendogs with people while we wait to ride! Gonna be awesome!!
sorry to dissapoint but no one has a 3ds anymore. they stopped producing them and the online services are due to be closed soon. People just take their switches with them now.
i am too dissapointed at the death of streetpass but the 3ds,s lifespan its over. let it die please
@@ciclon5682 I'm almost certain there will still be lots of people carrying their 3DS's with them, especially if a lot of nintendo fans are going to this place, it's bound to happen
@@ThaddeusSilva I havent seen anyone with a 3DS in public since 2018 but I guess it can happen
I think we’ll see more switch lites
As someone with like 9 3ds I don’t think people take them out anymore😅
Universal studios Hollywood needs that DK roller coaster!!
I’m pumped a rolelcoaster based on Fast and Furious heck yeah 😎 and the Bourne stuntacular in Florida was so cool I’d love to see in Hollywood
That pfp and name are awesome bro 👍
Only if it moves Supercharged to the garbage bin where it belongs
Can’t wait til we get it over here in Florida 😁
Even though I've watched all of the Japan videos of the Mario world, it still makes me giddy with joy to have the chance to see my childhood realized in a theme park. Younger generations got to see Harry Potter's world come to life, us 80's and 90's kids have dreamed of Nintendo World our whole lives.
@@coherentpanda7115 don’t forget the 00’s kids like me who grew up with the Wii and GameCube lol. But it’s amazing to see something so vibrant and kinetic come to Universal and it being Nintendo
THIS YEAR IS SO GOOD. So many cool announcements. So much hype. Sometimes i tend to wonder if life is even worth living anymore, but then this kind of stuff gets revealed and i remember why i decide to get out of bed every morning. JUST SO I CAN ONE DAY EXPERIENCE THIS.
finally some news. last time you guys did a video on this was to announce the attraction.
Universal needs to find a way to buy off that golf course next door to their studios. That's a huge chunk of land that would expand the park greatly.
Thanks for continuing to cover these exciting additions! Hoping that one day we could get either a Zelda land or a Metroid themed space port would be cool imo. Great video as usual, Take care and stay safe. :)
Thanks, you too!
*Hyrule, not "Zelda land"
@@Viking_Luchador True. True. I couldn't remember if it was spelled like that or not. Lol
I personally think Universal should use Super Smash Bros. as a guide for what to include
@@Viking_Luchador That would make sense up to an extent... (Obviously it would most likely exclude the 3rd parties for obvious legal reasons.) But yeah. Totally. :)
I wonder if they will put in the interactive key games and the bowser jr. boss fight in Hollywood. I sure hope they do, that looks like the best part of the Japan park!
Yes they will. The only thing not included in the land is the Yoshie ride and the Donkey Kong area
Better idea, pretend Bowser Jr never existed and bring back the Koopa Kids
@@Viking_Luchador the Koopa kids have been in modern games since NSMBW, plus Bowser Jr it's way better
@Ryko yeah, but they're not Bowser's children anymore, they're just random Koopalings.

Thanks!
AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!! I was hoping the yoshi ride would be in Hollywood.
They HAVE to add a Resident Evil section and ride after Super Nintendo World. They've collabed with them 2 times for Universal Studios Japan already, and Capcom would most likely agree because of the money they'd make, also they'd get a lot of new people into the RE Universe. Plus, the fact that they are working with Nintendo perfectly, another popular Japanese company, it would make them feel more comfortable with this collab.
If Universal has already n chosen Nintendo, I'd hope that Capcom would find another company to partner with
Love you mom! Thanks for the update!
Huh?
for now Universal Hollywood is getting the Mario kart ride but later on down the line Universal Hollywood might expand Super Nintendo World
Absolutely!
I'm only here because I'm preparing for when Orlando's opens. It's Disney World 2023 and then Super Nintendo World/Universal Orlando as soon as it opens!!! - M
I want to go there! It seems fun!
I hate to say it, but im lowering my expectations for SNW Hollywood...I just feel like it's going to be so much more disappointing than USJ or Epic Universe. But I hope there's some unique features at USH. Thanks for the coverage, Alicia!!
We just have to wait and see until next year
SAME. USH is so tiny compared to the vastness of Epic in Orlando. I hope they put the DK Coaster in Epic as well.
At least there will be a super Nintendo land. It will be new to most of us. I have not experienced the land in Japan and will not be be able to do so in Orlando until 2025, I don't think I will be disappointed because I have nothing to compare it too.
@@remyd8767 But starting in 2025 you will see that the Super Nintendo World at Universal Orlando is better and grandiose
@@maui3551 yes. But if I'm in southern California going to the Hollywood version now, I wouldn't know any better.
They better add an actual coconut mall store to the park
Wow! Love it.
They should add a pokemon entertainment section where pokemon trainers of all ages can enjoy unique pokemon battles maybe even have a pokemon center spa to relax inside of. Alot of potential great ideas come to my mind when I think about this.
I don't know but I'm getting "Galaxy's Edge" vibes here with this new land.
Personally, I feel Koopa is a better name for dragon king - no idea why they started calling him Bowser in western countries?
Honestly, I don’t know. To be really honest with you, I am just going there for the Nintendo stuff. I can’t wait to see it! I will finally get to meet my favorite heroes, Mario and Luigi. It’ll be so much fun! I actually told that to my parents when we visited Universal Studios Hollywood for my sister‘s quinceanera! But we were only there to take pictures.
Wait till the one at Universal Orlando opens in the summer of 2025 seen that's the only one in America to have the Donkey Kong rollercoaster
I don’t live in Orlando. I live all the way in Los Angeles! But I can’t wait until super Nintendo world opens in Universal Studios Hollywood! It’s going to be awesome! I am finally going to be able to experience what the Mushroom Kingdom is like in my own way because I can’t see very well! But the sounds and smells will keep me feeling excited the whole time!
don't forget to bring your 3DS so you can get all those streetpass tags, and play with others on Nintendo's current handheld system! Don't believe what people tell you,Switch is only to replace the massive failure known as Wii U, it's NOT replacing the 3DS, because 3DS is a handheld, Switch is a home system, people will take their 3DS along with them since it's a handheld.
We went there
@@pika62221 wii u was an actually good system tho, switch is the most lifeless thing ever with zero graphical capability in some situations(expected cause of the "switch" mechanic but the other stupid decisions nintendo has done since the switch era is inexcusable lmao). switch is alright too, but the wii u just had a charm to it and a comfy feeling while the switch feels barren
I think it will open around the same time the Mario Movie opens in theaters, which is April of next year. Both are universal related.
My AP expires at the end of March. If they can manage to get it open by then I'd rush my family over there lol
I am so happy to go to super Nintendo world I am going to be so excited!
amazing! lets a go
I'd be flabbergasted if they put Luigi's mansion arcade somewhere in the theme park to play. Maybe even the Mario kart game.
Just something to play while waiting for a pizza or something ;v;)
As A Canadian I Wish That They Had This Up In Canada
Predicting this will break down very frequently lmao
how exciting!
Who else loves Universal getting more rides?
they set back the release date. thats nice
I really hope they add the airship
Just In time for the release of the Mario Movie!
Rollercoaster based fast and furious at USH will keep having Disney running for new ideas. Good healthy competition I'd say!
Hoping it comes to Universal Orlando too.
Amazing
Wow can't wait
If they don’t open this land on Mar 10, 2023 they’re really missing an opportunity.
MAR1O Let’s a go!
I think they will end up opening in the summer of 2023
@@maui3551 they said early 2023 not mid

If I could redo the Bowser's challenge ride I would make it like more of an augmented reality go-kart track. And after the third left your car would go into an autopilot so you could do like a victory dance or something like you would in the original game.
The Orlando park will obviously be the biggest and best. That construction site is not small by no means 😮
I'm already annoyed at all the videos responding to the unsurprising press releases with very little interesting information so it's great to get an Alicia take on everything.
There's a lot of "unidentified" space between Mount Beanpole and Jurassic World - two very large floors of space - so I'd bet many coins that's where the Bowser Jr stuff will go. Bottom floor of Bowser's will be the Cafe. Everything above that will be ride queue and gift shop. We can't see what's going on between Beanpole and Peach's Castle, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of building going on there, so maybe a gift shop leading to the exit and a bunch of façades? There does appear to be a lot of upper floor space going on around Peach's tower which appears to connect to the interior of the the pyramid area. I originally thought they'd just do a different version of Yoshi's - the layout is almost exactly the same here - but it could also be a good place for some interactive stuff. I'd like to see a really interactive version of Yoshi's, but honestly, anything taking advantage of the Power Up Bands would be better than that basic kiddie ride.
I do think they crammed a lot of interactive stuff into Beanpole. And gift shop/popcorn stand/bathrooms etc may be filling any the mystery spaces not accounted for on lower level. Don't forget the bathrooms!
Awesome
i wonder if universal will announce a multi year plan like they did when simpsons and wizarding world were announced way back when.
Mario could fill an entire park by itself: you've got the main continuity of Super Mario games; the Mario Kart franchise; Mario Party; Mario Sports... The main layout of the park could be the traditional hub & spoke model, branching out to the most popular lands of the Mushroom Kingdom.
Then when it comes time for expansion, you could add a Kart pavilion with various courses inspired by the games (and not like a wimpy Tomorrowland Speedway, where you putter along at the speed of a lawnmower); a Party pavilion with life sized versions of popular mini games; and finally Sports pavilion, where you can play indoor tennis, golf, soccer, and baseball (and every other year, you could do something special for the Summer and Winter Olympics).
I'm A goddamn idea machine!
here's what I need to see at the opening of the Classic Monsters land:
1) Ricou Browning is the Guest of Honor for the Grand Opening; he played the Gill-Man in all three Creature from the Black Lagoon movies (the swimming sequences, anyway); he's also the last living actor to have played one of the Classic Monsters
2) a larger than life statue dedicated to Lon Chaney, Jr.; not as any character, but the man himself. He was in 10 UCM movies, more than any other actor -- five as Larry Talbot, the Wolf Man; once as Frankenstein's Monster; three times as Kharis, the Mummy; and once as Count Dracula (technically his son, but the title was passed down). He's the only actor to have played all of the "Big Four" monsters
3) a smaller statue dedicated to Dwight Frye, to serve as a tribute to the various character actors who played supporting roles across multiple movies; he's most famous as Renfield in "Dracula" and Fritz in "Frankenstein", but he also had an uncredited role as a reporter in "The Invisible Man", and bit parts in four of the Frankenstein sequels (two of which were just uncredited villagers)
4) Franchises and characters that need to be represented:
Dracula -- Count Dracula (both Bela Lugosi and John Carradine), Professor van Helsing;
Frankenstein -- The Monster (both Boris Karloff and Glenn Strange), Henry Frankenstein, Ygor;
The Mummy -- Kharis, Andoheb (Egyptian mystic turned High Priest of Karnak/Arkam and Kharis' handler), Stephen Banning & Babe Jenson (twice defeated Kharis & Andoheb);
The Invisible Man -- Geoffrey Radcliffe (I know that Jack Griffin/Claude Rains was the original, but Vincent Price just has a much more recognizable voice);
The Wolfman --Larry Talbot, Maleva the gypsy woman;
The Creature from the Black Lagoon -- the Gill-Man, Captain Lucas.
5) even though he was overshadowed by Talbot, some recognition should go to Dr. Wilfred Glendon from "Werewolf of London"
6) if the Phantom of the Opera is referenced, they should alternate between the original silent version starring Lon Chaney, and the remake starring Claude Rains (the only UCM movie to win an Academy Award)

Pokemon Ranger Pipe Band aka Bagad de Pokemon Ranger performance at Pokemon Center Mega Tokyo and Universal Studios Japan!
I wonder if the food will stay the same
I remember Poseidon Entertainment mentioning how USH's Super Nintendo World will take DLR's audience away, but since it's an inferior version of both Japan and Orlando's, I'm really doubting his take since Californian theme park goers would want what the other versions have 1-to-1, which is why our version of Revenge of the Mummy is inferior to Florida and Singapore version.
A lot of people will end up wanting to go to Super Nintendo World at Universal Orlando seen that's the only one in America that will have the Donkey Kong rollercoaster
@@maui3551 And the Yoshi ride to boot. It's a shame that USH's limited space forces them to have only one attraction for each themed segment of the park (Harry Potter and Illumination being the sole exceptions).

I can't wait to visit there with my family 🤠🤠🤠
I know Hollywood has a small space but how do we know the Yoshi ride won’t be coming?
The press release says Mario Kart is the only ride opening with the land, and they built the mountain but without enough room to ever add the ride track beside it. Hollywood got Secret Life of Pets instead, which used the same ride system.
@@ThemeParkStop They never specified it was the only attraction just the main one from what I have seen from the tweets. Also there is a warp pipe leading into the mountain. The only other warp pipe in the land is the one up factory witch already has already bean revealed to be under the desert area. One final thing is that the land will be very popular and it would be a missed opportunity to control the crowds with another ride.
@@emilixus2683 The press release talks about Mario Kart as if it’s the only ride. When they built Yoshi in Japan we could see the track built first and then the mountain enclosed. That never happened in Hollywood. If Hollywood was getting Yoshi, we would’ve seen them building Yoshi. I’m afraid there’s just not the space to add the track now even if they wanted to.
You guys at least have a secret life of pets attraction, Jurassic World the ride, and Water World. We don't have that at Universal Orlando Resort
@@ThemeParkStop fair point but we have never seen clear construction to the left of the mountain where if the ride would come it would most likely be there and behind the snowy mountains to the left of mount beam pole is a large building that can fit the dark ride portion and maybe under a mini game. It’s just a 50/50 if the ride comes to Hollywood.
The reason why their won't be another ride is because the land isn't big and theirs just only room for one ride to fit in the land. Super Nintendo World will likely bring more guests to Universal Studios Hollywood. I also wonder if Tom Williams will be invited to attend the grand opening? I'm also glad that Mark Woodbury is going to continue in Tom's footsteps to make Universal Parks and Resorts successful.
