Kishore is so right about the objective of appointing an embassy as a middle person to harmonise any predicament that could arise as a result of misunderstanding between two nations. We all have our differences as in every family, the members have each other’s differences, openly discussing can dissolve unpleasant energy but if one party persists not to listen and rule out what the best solution is, then harmony would surely have gone missing. Once this is happening there will never be Peace in this world any more. Hopefully one day, we will live in a more harmonious and peaceful world. Thanks Kishore for giving such an ultimately important talk .. May God bless your family and the world we live in. 😇🙏

Its Dec 2020, We can now evaluate what Mr. Mahbubani said then, and how accurate it was or is.
I was impressed with his opening speech, but the moment he showed his appreciation to Ch1na my stand started to shift.
I may be biased, but its due to the facts (Facts of what Ch!na did to Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nepal, India, Philippines, Vietnam, Japanese disputed island, Australia etc)
Talking about Ch!na is preaching the choir. One can search Mr. Mahbubani talks on Ch!na on youtube.
    Neutrality:
He talked about US President and UK PM, Yes they have done things that may not look right but one needs to understand the background of it, but lets take it as is for now. He does not talk of Ch!na's leader in the same way. That leader did not follow their own governance rules, i.e. removed the leadership tenure or limit, removed the restriction of power, is driving the world to wards a war (there was only leader from past who took the same steps). Spied on other UN reps, Did not honer Intnl Court verdict on Philippines's island and many such instance.
does it not show Mr. Mahbubani's stance ?
    Diplomacy:
About Diplomacy, it's not always done via Ambassadors. US does talk to enemy countries through other means. Like India has a back channel diplomacy with its enemy (Pakistan) via intelligence agency. CIA had it with KGB even during the East German crises and swap of agents.
    UN:
I wish it were true, that, UN is the best org, but recent events have proven beyond doubt that it has failed us just as League of Nations did. Today a Powerful nation can do what they feel like, a country like Pakistan and Ch!na with well known Human Rights record are leading it. Today you can attack a country and kill its citizens under the guise of Terrorists and nothing can be done. With or WithOut UN, world today is like jungle, Ones with power rule it. If Ch1na were to attack Myanmar, who will defend or protect Myanmar ? ..I can assure None!
But, I totally agree with his Boat analogy and that we need to look at the world's future with optimism.

My friend Mr Baiden has a grandson in his fifth grade. He used to be No.1 in the whole school. He became the school captain from the 2nd grade. But he has noticed that a Chinese boy is coming up to take his place as the best student of the school. He has become worried and his grandpa Mr Baiden told him not to be worried and that the end justifies the means. He started to teach him all the dirty techniques to demonize the Chinese boy, even to the extent of spreading blatant lies about the Chinese boy, such as telling his group of friends that the Chinese boy is a spy etc. that he comes to steal their knowledge etc. etc. When Mr Baiden's grandson grows up, he remembers his grandfather's teachings and resorts to all dirty techniques to deal with his friends and foes, such as bugging his friends etc. Education is not just verbal teaching in schools, it is what one does that constitutes the effective teachings to the juniors.
The Chinese elders will never educate their children in this immoral way by their ways of actions.

Separate the kids who molest Barbie dolls from the kids who love to paint and draw. Both groups can create a whole new world of their own.

Americunts don't listen. They are too filled with hubris and selective perception. It will take a catastrophic collapse of their rotten state before they acquire the humility to seek the truth.

Jack Ma is safe and ok...but Ant group proposal have been rejected ...probably too high risk to the ordinary people....China take care of ordinary people. Normally the biggest profit goes to the few capitalist big major share holders but the biggest risk taken by many small share holders....if the company fail and Ant is ver big it will rattle the ordinary people and so the Chinese government want to ensure these thing dont happen. In the US we see many bail out for too big to fail company's.
