- Today we shall elucidate the Astra Militarum regiment: The Tallarn Desert Raiders.
Renowned for their defiance against the Traitor Legion of the Iron Warriors during the era of the Horus Heresy, these sons and daughters of their once Agri World are imbued with a deep hatred of the enemies of the Emperor.
Giving praise to their 'Aba Aba Mushira' as they board their amroured tanks to confront the enemies of Humanity, few Regiments of the Guard have earned glories and valour to rival these noble warriors.

The Desert Raiders deserve their honors since the Horus Heresy as they were able to withstand the might of the Iron Warriors with their Primarch, and survive the battle and humiliate them.
The Emperor's light shines upon you Brother Remembrancer. Long may your elucidations brighten our days.
They're supposed to be excellent tankers and combined arms expertes, excellent guerilla fighters, skilled engineers who can build and siege Tobruk style fortifications, surprisingly skilled at tunnel fighting because their cities are all underground. Low key good at everything but possibly fighting in triple canopy jungle. They even have good relations with some of the Eldar.
Guardsmen regiment combining forces with the Eldar is cool af

The only books they have are 'Desert Raiders' by Lucien Soulban and the Tallarn Horus Heresy series.
I know of the desert raiders novel though I did forget about it. Is it any good? I believe it’s about them fighting tyranids
They also appear in the Ciaphas Cain novel The Traitor's Hand as a rival commissar of Cain is attached to a Tallarn regiment.
