I have one of these, same size. During the winter, it was hit by a heavy branch that broke off a tree. The polycarbonate walls and roof, no damage, but I am still trying to get replacement aluminium replacement parts direct from Palram. Service is not that great. I might just scrap it and get a different make. I can't be without a secure shed because my two mobility scooter are in there, along with a weed muncher.
Do all the Skylight sheds from Palram come with the floor? A couple of vendors mention the 8X20 model come with it, but show no pictures of it or show it in the instructions.
Hello, thanks for making this video. I bought this and I am having trouble in deciding what size base I should make. Can you please advise? I’m thinking 9’ by 9’.
Just swapped the blower and mowers for summer. After massive amounts of snow in WI all these years it's doing well. The black plastic roof lets it slide right off when the sun comes out.
@@hpiguy I have just ordered one of these and after reading a review where someone said snow collapsed the roof, I was planning to strengthen it with maybe some .25" plexiglass or something. After hearing your comment here, I'm now unsure. I live in Colorado where we can get up to about a foot of heavy snow in early spring. Would you say that the roof is strong enough and doesn't need additional reinforcement?
Hey, I wanted to ask 2 questions.... I want to put this shed between my house and a fence.... Is side access required to assemble? If so, do you think I could assemble the shed, then move it in to place after assembly? Then affix it to the base I will build?
You do need to get all around it to assemble at first. Two people can EASILY move this to it's final spot before securing it to the ground. I did just that in this video, assembled, then slid it a foot from the garage.
@@hpiguy Sorry I should have added I've seen these and wondered if they could be added later or had to be set up when erecting the shed - palramapplications.com/product/skylight-storage-shelves-kit/
Works well here, 24 inches of snow on the roof and 60mph winds, still standing. But the walls could be cut with a big knife so not super secure for a cycle in a bad area.
Same reasons you lock your doors even though a crook can just easily break a little window and open it. A deterrent. They will move on to another easier target most times. And your insurance won't pay a dime if it wasn't locked.
breaking a window makes noise, simply unscrewing the hinges and lifting the doors off will make very little noise , i am getting this shed , but i certainly wont be using standard screws supplied , to fit door hinges , its a very bad design flaw .
Thanks a lot guys for reviewing our shed guys and a job well done 👍
Thanks for watching, feel free to contact the channel for more collaborations!
Thanks for the great review , explained very well and with great information 👍🏻
Does it flood when you have heavy rain?
Good review, thanks for sharing.

how does it hold up to the sun...warping ?

Can't speak for any but this one, and it does have the floor.
Would it be easy to hang lights inside it? It gets dark here early, and really I'd want to hook up a switch and ceiling light.
You could, the frame is easy to get to.
Can you install shelves?

Whatever size you feel is best, as long as it covers the size of the shed.
Great video thanks. How has it held up with snow loads? I live in CT and we get some snow here.

hpiguys Workshop thank you

Could u fit a motorcycle in there ?

hpiguys Workshop awesome thanks. Maybe I’ll assemble it, then move it into place. 👍🏻👍🏻
What's about high winds? Does it make noise in the wind ?
Still standing today and we get some nasty wind storms and snow falls in WI.
If this is the sound it makes when you tap on the panels, i guess that when rain falls on the roof the noise is crazy, no?
No idea, it's 30 feet from the house and I never hear a thing.
Did this ship in one or two boxes?
One box, I think it was about 4 feet wide, 6 feet long or so, not very thick. It was crazy light. It easily fit into a pickup bed.
Hello, is the roof strong enough ? (Cats for example)
It holds snow, I have no idea what animals it can hold.
@@hpiguy ok thanks for your answer
Can you attach shelves ?
No, you'd have to just put shelving units in it.

It’s looks nice just wish it were sturdier. I need something similar but heavy duty for storing my 🏍

hpiguys Workshop Thank you.
Waterproof??
Water doesn't come in the roof if that's what you are asking.
hpiguys Workshop How about through those vents?
Little bit, if it's a driving rain.
whats the point of putting a lock on it when any crook with a screwdriver can take the hinges off......
