What are your thoughts on youtube punishing content creators who advertise their Twitch stream on youtube? It makes sense since CZcams doesn't want people to leave their website for a competitor.
I don't know how much it affects and I could be wrong but ever since I started promoting my Twitch on youtube regularly, I've seen an insane drop in traffic on youtube.

"don't hesitate" so true. i started posting on yt in like 2012, making really REALLY bad cringey weeb content. I amassed about 20k subs within 6 months, as i was consistantly posting. the stuff i was posting wasn't the best it could have been. but it was out there- so people could see it.
then the amount of subs i had got to my brain- i started posting less and less because i was worried about making really quality content as opposed to content i found fun to make. i went from posting 4-5 times a month to 2-3 times a year. i lost pretty much 100% of my audience because i started hesitating SO much. i constantly make the joke that i'm always working on youtube- for every video i post, there's 10 that i filmed and edited and didn't put up because i hesitated on their quality. i wish your advice was around when i was 15 making youtube videos in my bedroom. lol

Yeah, I actually laughed at this couple of frames since he just says that an iPhone will do. The audio is alright, the lighting is okay and then this. Imagine watching a video full of these glitches. Also, how did that even slip through post-production?

Hey I appreciate your advice. Its worth its weight in gold. I have taken all of the things that I've seen so far from the videos and have applied it in my personal journey. From my sponsorship pick ups which is 4 right now, to my video equipment, that I'm building on, all the way to lighting and software. You are helping people and it is working. You should do a segment where people have done a before and after of the advice they have taken from you and show where they are currently with the advice in motion. Thank you so much. I have subbed and have shared. Thanks again.

This is all great advice. My first 10 videos were shot on my phone. Money was invested into a solid mic and cheap $40 key lights. Still have not perfected the lighting and audio filters, but it improves with every video. I still don’t have my own camera, I finally borrowed a friends DSLR just until I can afford my own. Thanks for another great discussion and video tips! Happy content creating!

I'm so glad you've finally started to implement hesitation into your videos. I think as some talking best practices, I feel that that actually demoralizes many NOT to start when it's not accompanied with a "just start anyway" statement. You have to fail many times before you can succeed.
