Hearing your story about the dark times of your past, how you listened to Gravity during that time.. Knowing that Taeyeon sang the song in Killing Voice, I just knew it would be special for you. We generally associate gravity as a force that 'weighs' you down, but it's actually a force that 'pulls'. That's the reference for the song: about being 'pulled' out of a dark place by someone or something. I hope Taeyeon's Gravity is that 'something' for you and hope you're in a better place now.

She initially said "UR" was the last song. But because "Drawing Our Moments" was such a highly requested song, she decided to do the climax part.

Gravity was about how her fans kept her from drifting away due to all the hardships she's been thru, so yeah, basically it's a song about how you're never truly alone during the darkest days of your life.
As a Taeyeon fan of 14 years, watching her Killing Voice video made me tear up. Especially when she sang Drawing Our Moments. I'm so proud of her in so many ways. She has been my favorite artist since 2008 and she never disappoints. Her whole discography is a masterpiece. Also, I don't know if you know this but Taeyeon also had depression. I think she has healed a lot since 2019. It just makes me so happy to see her happy. 🥲
The song Happy was supposedly released during her birthday last 2020 but it was postponed because her father died on her birthday. Like the song itself was so happy, but it reminds of her painful experience.
Chronological order seems the most reasonable, because you get to see her progress and her improvement as a vocalist/performer (ikr, who would have thought King Taeyeon had room for improvement). You can also see the shift in the moment she turned from being just an idol to being her own artist.
I really couldn’t help crying when Taeyeon sang Time Lapse, Gravity, and the other emotional songs. Love her voice.

Taeyeon's entire discography is complete GOLD! She has never had a miss in my book, I love every single one of her songs. I recommend going in chronological order, because that way you can see her evolution and how incredibly versatile she is. The only adjective that is a constant in all of Taeyeons albums is 'emotional' but apart from that, every single one of her releases is different and shows a different side of her an artist, so you never know what to expect. In Korea people have two sayings about Taeyeon: "Taeyeon sings with the emotion of a woman who's been divorced 7 times" and "Taeyeon, the singer you can always trust."

King Taeyeon's voice is such a blessing. it heals our soul. All her albums, mini n full are so worth listening to all!!

Timelapse is my favorite song of hers. You have to watch the live in concert version of it. I watched it live in Seoul back then and all the feels totally teared me up :’)
Taeyeon, the true ace of the business
'Happy' has one of the saddest backstories. Taeyeons father passed away on her birthday, the day the song was supposed to be released. Its hard to listen to the song 'Happy' knowing that Taeyeon suffered during this time. Everytime i see her sing it, i cant help but feel she is reminded of her father.

Seeing you suddenly cry when she started singing Gravity, makes me sad and emotional and at the same time realizing how really impactful taeyeon's way of singing to others..

So glad she finally did a killing voice. Blue is my fav of hers so glad she put it in here!! INVU has sort of overtaken it though! Her vocal capabilities are insane! She did the best part of INVU too! Those high notes tear me up!

it's best to listen to taeyeon's discography in chronological order so you can see how much she's grown as an artist. also, she's very versatile and never did the same concept twice so chronological is the way to go :)

Taeyeon admitted that she suffered from depression and also undergone treatment. She looks fine now but idk if she’s still.. but anyway I think she looks healthier and livelier and I’m glad.
She was also with me not only through my dark times but also with good times. That’s why I remain as a loyal tangbba since I adore her soo much and she has been an inspiration in my life. 🥺

Time Lapse and UR are definitely my favourite songs of hers. They sound better live though 😅 Her Purpose and My Voice Deluxe album are top tier, as well as her latest one :) Good album to start with though is her first debut mini album "I".

So the thing about her first mini album 'I', he solo debut, the songs I (the first one there) and UR (second last) are actually the songs that tell the story on how Taeyeon herself overcame her depression, hence the empowering and freeing lyrics of I and the thankful ones she's singing to in UR are *chef's kiss*. When the mini album came out I and UR respectively came at no.1 and 2 on Korean music charts, beating a very respected senior, Lim Chang Jung. That mini album is really very close to my heart even until now.
Oh, if you're up to it I also recommend you to react to Taeyeon TOP 12 emotional singing (concert edition). She's really good and you can feel her raw emotions there!

Personally I don’t mind whether you react to Taeyeon’s releases in chronological or reverse chronological order haha. I would be grateful if you react to not just her MVs, but also her albums! I would recommend reacting to her debut album first: “I - the 1st mini album”, then proceeding to the 3 full length albums, then lastly all the other singles/mini albums. That’s because I really want to see your reaction to her full length albums sooner 🥺
Taeyeon’s songs are more often about love (which I can’t relate to because I’ve always been single lmao), but there is this one song of hers that stood out to me because of the lyrics. That song is titled “I’m the greatest” - it’s a song from her 1st Japanese single. I listen to this song a lot when I need to cheer myself up. Feel free to listen to this song first without filming a reaction for it! You can just react to her live performance of the song when you get to it later on anyways hehe
Hearing your back story about Gravity, I remember being in dark times too. Until Taeyeon and the rest of SNSD happened. Maybe they are just thinking that they are just doing their job, but here there are: Saving lives one at a time.

It'd be best to hear it chronologically. Starting from all the way her 1st debut mini album 'I' (2015) till INVU 3rd full length album (2022). You'll definitely not just fall in love or regret, in fact she's really live up to her nickname 'Trust Taeyeon' & 'Living Legend'.

You can’t go wrong with any order when it comes to Taeyeon tbh. She debuted solo after 8 years in SNSD, so even her “rookie” discography is quite mature and full of hits. You can even pick randomly from any place on the timeline and it will be enjoyable. Chronological order does show her journey from a new solo artist full of worries and trying to find herself to a confident professional who’s truly proud of the work she’s putting out though. So if checking things thoroughly is your thing, that’s a good way to go.
I think chronological order would be the best for a Taeyeon journey. Another reason would be because I want you to start with "I" because the song is really healing and gives a sense of freedom in my opinion.

One other song you might want to add onto your list is they got Taeyeon to sing "Into the Unknown" for the Korean audio version of Frozen 2. I don't know if there'd be trouble reacting to it since it's Disney, but I thought you'd like to at least be aware of its existence.
