All I can think about is Purrloin, and how it originally appeared as four-legged into four-legged evo, but when they moved it from B/W to Go and the other CGI games, it suddenly walks on two legs like Meowth. Whyyy
You could say Unova is a proto regional-variant gen (to stop calling it a rip off of gen 1) Purrloin is Unovian Meowth (that is usually represented standing on their hind legs, eventhough that was anime canon for Team Rocket's Meowth, but was adopted as every Meowth's distinctive pose) and Liepard is just Unovian Persian. In conclusion, that's why I think Purrloin was designed to stand on their hind legs, like Meowth
It always walked on two legs . It was just sitting down. In the anime it walks mostly on two . It’s explained that it runs on all fours or if it’s trying to go to place to place. But normally on two. It appears on two legs more often than four 💀 even in some poses in spirit work it’s on two.
Cuter, but... kinda boring. Incineroar got so much character from going bipedal. It's actually way more memorable now than if it were just some random vanilla tiger with fire abilities.

Incineroar: I DON’T KNOW!
I've just realised that the most generally appreciated starter trios (the 3d and 4th gen. trios) have one thing in common: both trios have one humanoid starter (blaziken and infernape), one bipedal but more beast-like starter (sceptile and empoleon) and one quadrupedal starter (swampert and torterra). I personally think that they could always do the starters using this design philosophy (the hisuian trio is like this too), to have the starters match more people's tastes and to avoid this kind of critiques (I know people will always complain but they'll not always be right)
I think they tried to do this in gen 5, too, but emboar was hated, Serperior was memed on for losing its legs, and Samurrot was also hated for becoming a quadruped when it was originally bipedal, lol.
I'm still hoping it gets an extra pair of legs per evolution. Starts off as a plant cat with 4, then gets 6 legs so it can be a plant/bug insect cat and then it has 8 and can be a plant/bug catarachnid. 😎
Imagine strolling through the region see a Sprigatito standing while it reaching for something and you think "aww that's cute" and a guy with his Alakazam uses psychic to forcefully putting the cat on 4 legs
I honestly love meowscarada’s magician estetique also with how its a psyical attacker instead of a special attacker also flower trick is OP as fuck it never misses and always crits its a better version of single strike urshifu’s signature move
Except it's weaker, so it's not really a better version. Moves that never miss are cool and all, but as long as it's 100% accurate you're probably fine.
@@babywizard9027 I have trauma from a gym in shining pearl that spammed double team and then used baton pass and the battle took so long and was hell so a move never missing is a big plus for me also flower trick has more PP if I remember correctly
It's even more powerful if you give it mints that will buff either its speed or attack stat. Meowscarada is basically a "strike before your opponent knows what's happening" kind of Pokemon. Mine knows Trailblaze (which boosts speed while attacking) and Toxic Spikes too for good measure, so I just trap the field and if the other pokemon goes first I Trailblaze until I'm faster and then Flower Trick my way to victory. Swept so many gyms with that tactic
Fun fact: Of the starters from every generation, only venusaur, meganium, and torterra start and stay on 4 legs. Generation 5 actually saw two exceptions to the final Evo bipedal rule, with Oshawott evolving to stand on 4 legs from 2 while snivy would lose its legs entirely.
Intresting to think about all thou I don't think people have an issue with the more monster like designs like Charizard, Blastois, Foraligator. Just the amount of "furry" designs, and I don't have anything agesnt the furry designs per say other then I do like to at least have a balance of if not majority of more monster like "Pocket Monsters" but... personal prefrence I know.
now snivy losing it's leg's makes sense cause it is a snake as for samurott, well samurott is a sea lion so being a quadruped makes sense, however samurott will stand on his hind legs and take a bipedal stance when he draws out his Seamitars he keeps sheathed on his front leg's given the samurai motif
@@dugtrioinstruments7388 A lot..I don’t really care for the final form but the rest of the line is cute. Incineroar mildly disturbs me; big muscles (mostly ones that look unnaturally huge) tend to freak me out a bit, so a standing tiger with massive muscles freaks me out worse 😅
I honestly don’t care if it ends up being bipedal. I’m going to pick it anyway since it’s a cat and I like cats. It being grass type is also a plus because I usually choose either grass or fire type starters.
Same. In all honesty, I remember someone bringing up that it could be a grass/fairy inspired by puss in boots, and that just made my day. Like, yeah, cool quadrupedal beast is awesome, but if done well, bipedal designs can look great too!

To be honest, I want Spriggy to stay on four legs, but if it's got a cut lil'animation where it raises up on two and flaps its paws like they're begging for a treat... that's okay. My cat does that sometimes and it's so cute...
@Marav Reviews *slams desk* IT IS TO ME!!!!
"prevent them from turning into undesirable beings and to preserve would peace" is a classic evil team line.
Though, I too don't want the cat to stand up.

If Sprigatito ends up having a final evolution that is similar to Puss in Boots, I'll be totally fine with it.😆
yeah a Puss in Boots sort of design im sure people will be fine with, granted ik people will bitch about it being the 4th time a quadruped starter became bipedal, however im sure the Puss in Boots influence should be enough to subdue that
@@bulborb8756 Ah okay. I mean it would be nice to have a quad final evolution for once, but if not, it's whatever for me. As long as it looks cool.
honestly me too
A fencer with a mask like that one fan design would be pretty badass too ngl
you predicted it.. gosh darn it
Why do I feel like it was originally going to have 4 legs then GameFreak saw this and other memes and made it bipedal to spite the internet 😂
Sprigatito is very bad at following instructions...
All I can think about is Purrloin, and how it originally appeared as four-legged into four-legged evo, but when they moved it from B/W to Go and the other CGI games, it suddenly walks on two legs like Meowth. Whyyy
Didnt it do that in the anime when it was first introduced? I think purrloin mainly stands on four legs but can go onto two when it needs to.
I hate bipedal Purrloin. It just doesn't look right.
Agreed
Why game freak why!!??
Why is it bipedal!\??
Sprigatito could honestly go either way, but yeah I think I would prefer a quadrupedal evolution this time around. Very much cuter
Cuter, but... kinda boring. Incineroar got so much character from going bipedal. It's actually way more memorable now than if it were just some random vanilla tiger with fire abilities.
@@gengarzilla1685 to be fair Primarina got the pop star to opera singer motif and Decidueye had the archer motif down pat, so of course the logical thing for Incineroar was a wrestler

Too late the evolution are standing up
I've just realised that the most generally appreciated starter trios (the 3d and 4th gen. trios) have one thing in common: both trios have one humanoid starter (blaziken and infernape), one bipedal but more beast-like starter (sceptile and empoleon) and one quadrupedal starter (swampert and torterra). I personally think that they could always do the starters using this design philosophy (the hisuian trio is like this too), to have the starters match more people's tastes and to avoid this kind of critiques (I know people will always complain but they'll not always be right)
@Marav Reviews samurott is quadrupedal. Incineroar is not half quadrupedal just because it comes from a quadrupedal family
This makes a lot of sense. I really liked Swampert and Torterra Growing up, so that might be part of why mudkip is my fav starter.
I think they tried to do this in gen 5, too, but emboar was hated, Serperior was memed on for losing its legs, and Samurrot was also hated for becoming a quadruped when it was originally bipedal, lol.
Swampert can be bipedal too
@Marav Reviews birds walk on 2 legs

First evolution: LOL Lmao
welp, he was too late…
I'm still hoping it gets an extra pair of legs per evolution.

Imagine strolling through the region see a Sprigatito standing while it reaching for something and you think "aww that's cute" and a guy with his Alakazam uses psychic to forcefully putting the cat on 4 legs
It would be worse if it evolves while standing up and it became bipedal.
@@iamnotuta2658 Why it would be worse if is standing on 2 feet?
And then said Sprigatito, like the 87.5% madlad, 12.5% madlass, that the cat is, proceeds to evolve into a biped twice regardless.
I honestly love meowscarada’s magician estetique also with how its a psyical attacker instead of a special attacker
also flower trick is OP as fuck it never misses and always crits its a better version of single strike urshifu’s signature move
Except it's weaker, so it's not really a better version. Moves that never miss are cool and all, but as long as it's 100% accurate you're probably fine.
@@babywizard9027 I have trauma from a gym in shining pearl that spammed double team and then used baton pass and the battle took so long and was hell so a move never missing is a big plus for me
also flower trick has more PP if I remember correctly
It's even more powerful if you give it mints that will buff either its speed or attack stat. Meowscarada is basically a "strike before your opponent knows what's happening" kind of Pokemon. Mine knows Trailblaze (which boosts speed while attacking) and Toxic Spikes too for good measure, so I just trap the field and if the other pokemon goes first I Trailblaze until I'm faster and then Flower Trick my way to victory. Swept so many gyms with that tactic
I also love the magician thing

BREAKING NEWS: Local weed stands up, internet in panic.
@@Left4Cake Charizard and Feraligatr may not have fur but I assure you that furries love them.
now snivy losing it's leg's makes sense cause it is a snake
as for samurott, well samurott is a sea lion so being a quadruped makes sense, however samurott will stand on his hind legs and take a bipedal stance when he draws out his Seamitars he keeps sheathed on his front leg's given the samurai motif
