Lamley Showcase: ALL Hot Wheels Elite64 Releases & a Bugatti Surprise!

- I've talked about them, done sneak vids about them, but never thought about collecting them. Until now. I decided to give Hot Wheels Elite64 a run. Here are all 9 models released so far, with a preview of the upcoming Bugatti, which gave me a little surprise.
Find some still available at Mattel Creations: creations.matt...
The Mercedes and the Bugatti are the type of thing they should be doing with this. Imagine all the historic racers from more than 100 years of racing history they could do in this level of detail. Like even if they did the Lotus 49 coming out this year in this style but didn't have a driver and instead had the red interior and a detailed engine...
The Porsche looks so much better in person than on the website
The Bugatti is amazing. That era of racing is way too rarely done in 1/64. I'll be getting a few to customize. And I didn't know the Aventador window came off either!! I won't be getting all the Elite64 releases, especially at those Mattel prices, but some are truly gems in the 1/64 world.
I'll buy at least one of the Bugatti when it becomes available.
That Bugatti is stunning. More of these types of cars please🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I think some diecast brands should make some more vintage race cars like the Alfa Romeo 8C 2300, Bentley 3 Litre, Auto Union Type C(which was an Audi), Mercedes-Benz W128 and W154.
Yow Modellini made a Bentley 6 1/2 Litre in their limited La Festa Mille Miglia line. They're expensive now but I have one and it's awesome!
Yep on bigger scale but on small scale especially on 1/64 line was quite rare.
@@HotWheelsMan_Philippines cuz they wont sell as well as skylines, silvias, NSXs, RX7s, JDMs, Muscle, super/hyper cars. Vintage racing cars is kind of a niche market.
@@HotWheelsMan_Philippines No, it's 1/64 scale. The 5 cars in the La Festa Mille Miglia set was the only time they made 1/64 scale.
@@christiannakamura1187 Really? I didn't know that brand.
Great review John 👍👍👏👏👏 If these elite 64 cars are going for more detail they dont compare to the old black box cars. Personally I like the old 100% black box cars, much more detail and a lot less expense.
The issue with the Audi was the lack of detail. They could have given it a beutiful interior or something to make it fit in with the other highly detailed line.
Now I don’t hate the car as I definitely like Audis and have 2 of these I’m just disappointed they dropped the ball imo
That Bugatti should have real wire wheels!
A set of very exquisite Hot Wheels castings filled with brilliant details on every model you've shown. My own personal favourite is the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL. Their all very "ELITE" models indeed!!!!
Way ahead of you. Already own every model released. And new models are on pre-order (Datsun & Porsche)
Patiently waiting for that nissan to be shipped out
You meant Datsun. But we get it. We're all waiting.
@@87teggydatsun is nissan
@@TheSmileyGuy_YT Datsun was Nissan. Nissan didn't exist when the model he's referring to came out.
@87teggy just got the email today! The nissan is getting shipped 🙌
@@Steeziii47 that's awesome. I should be getting my ship notification soon too!
My 280ZXs were delivered today 🔥 only elite 64 I have so far but I can’t wait to get my hands on the Bugatti 👌🏼
I slept on the Mercedes and I regret it… only other Elite 64 I’ve bought was the Land Rover. I might buy the Bugatti, the wheels kind suck. Need an elite 64 VW T2 pickup.
The Aventador loses some points because the engine cover/rear windshield doesnt have paint on the outer section of it and that makes the glass look huge. Mustang takes my number 1 spot, but the 280ZX is arriving soon so that could change.
The chaser definitely was a hit for the Toyota crowd
Wish they'd have a stock one but that's just my preference
I just like the JZX100, so-so towards Toyotas of that era.
@@nickadams2451 just different coloured wheels for me and it would of been perfect, but beggars can't be choosers
@@mozzarellabmxyou have chaser by Tarmac bro
@@qwerty975 well some of us like hotwheels 🤯
Hey I love that Bugatti! It's pretty cool
I like the Audi, but when you think Hot Wheels, do you think GRAY SEDAN? I think that's what people didn't like about it, plus no opening parts or anything else interesting about it.
I think the issue with the Audi is the tires. They should have been low profile.
Bugatti is French hence the racing blue, french national race colour. The manufacturor Ettore Bugatti was an italian.
Mattel pushed me away from collecting, since they are not supplying here in Nashville…. I got so frustrated that I just got on to something else…
The Elite 64 blue Lambo from last year looks very similar to the Mini Gt's castings. I put it next to one of the Mini Gt's Lambo and it looks identical.
Elite64 is hotwheels version of true 1:64 , they don't exaggerate details like they do on every other car so it is a lot like other diecast manufacturers
@@mozzarellabmx Makes sense. A lot of the castings have the exaggerated rear wheel. Some look ok, but for some models its too big
Bugatti a must have
Bugatti is my favorite
the lamborghini and bugatti are great
Very off topic but I hope one day they make a premium line of fantasy castings like the limited grip, super tsunami, 24/Seven etc. The more so realistic fantasy models
I want that Bugatti a lot.
Agree on the Bugatti, so different so cool.
Why do they skip a number or two then work backwards?? Would be nice if they had packaging that you can open without destroying the card!
These look so amazing, quite a level beyond Premium... But they are QUITE pricey, since they aren't avalabile locally. For a price of one of these I could get two Mini GTs and have some cash left over, also 5x faster
The Bugatti looks good, something unique and not mainstream like the LBWK and other stuff
I want the 928 but old school.
im excited for this new series, not a fan of any of these cars but love the more detailed cars.
The Porsche is number 7 and the Datsun is number 9. What is going to be number 8? Any sneaks?
Elite64 cars are really cool and detailed and a most for any collection.
Wheels and stance are everything on that Mercedes. The Bugatti is bitchin'!
I like the Baja 1000 style for the Defender!
Hate I missed out on the 300SL, and I won't pay scalper prices. I started with the Defender 90, which is a bit of a disappointment vs some of HW's competitors. Next was the 928 Safari, which is a work of art, imo.
If you hate scalper prices, then you're in luck cuz there are multiple Buy It Now listings on eBay right now for only $20 which is the same price as it was retail.
@@SeanThomasCSS Thanks. But, I just looked and couldn't find a single one at $20 with, or without shipping. Best I could find was $25 and $5 more to ship. But, that is within $0.57 of what it would have cost as a single purchase from RLC if their $6.95 flat rate shipping and tax is considered. Tempting.
I wish they that done the window trim on the Porsche 928.
The front of the Audi A7 looks more like an SUV than a sport sedan
Nice video
Bugatti is really beautiful, my favorite
In my country they are a little expensive but they so cool the best hotwheels line very worth
13:30 this Audi is the one where I'll agree with folks that collect MiniGT and such, that this was more of a "what's the point?" release.
The Mustang, Land Rover and Porsche are awesome, IMO. They have that HW style to them while being quite nice as sort of replicas. The Gullwing is awesome other than some of the paint details being meh. The Lambo is nice just not for me.
very nice, i got 3 & 5, looking forward to get more.
These aren't bad, at all. I might buy these
That rover is more of a truggy than a overlander😂
Thanks Lamley 😎👍
Very cool castings lamley group
Hot wheels is like the Apple of 1/64 diecast. Crystal headlights, accurate and better looking wheels, and tampo placement, all of these things that are being labeld as exclusive by hw, when mini gt, tarmac works, and tomica limited vintage have been doing that
I don't know but maybe is the color of the Audi that doesn't help. And yes, it looks kinda boxy
Imagine if John never purges his collection once a year
Saludos desde Chile!
Made me think, is Elite 64 like a budget version of RLC? Missed the old models with the interactable hood, doors, spoilers, etc.
They run around the same price, except Elite64 are closer to true scale and with much better details. Definitely not budget RLC.
Anyone complaining that $20 is too expensive for that Bugatti cause its small should give a go at designing some stuff and see how it goes, especially when its on that small of a scale.
I would agree if companies like Tarmac Works, MINI GT or similar companies wouldn't be on the market for last few years offering, IMHO, better models for much smaller price. Without having budget of Mattel.
Got the email yesterday Datsun is on the way😎, now since you pulled the Porsche off the card I just may have to get one
Hot wheels car look nice👍
The RS7 kinda sorta looks like an R8 from the front
Do you think the Bugatti will sell out on release? I want it but id rather pick it up along with the next RLC to save on shipping
Are the headlights on the audi stickers?
I like them all
The problem I have with the Audi is the front end is too tall/bulky, makes it look more like an SUV. I wasn't interested in any of these, noooow I might have to get the Porsche.
I wander were is #8 it trowing me off 😅 the 240 say it's #9 so they skip #8???
Excelentes piezas amigo
I wonder if number 9 is going be that customizable Toyota Tacoma coming out June 20. Where's the sneak peak?
Indeed the overall shape and portion is abit weird on the RS7, especially the front lights where the real car should have a sleek, and flatter shape. Also the wheels are not, at least looks sporty as the real car, probably because the the tyres a bit too thick. To be honest, the real car doesn't have such an obvious wide body portion as the elite 64 one, rather, it's the car itself is wide.
Awesome ❤
Matchbox does a better job at doing the Audis especially the R8 in the five packs they have😊
There is an Elite64 hauler coming! What will it cost?
They should do some trucks like the obs ford f150 lightning or like a dodge ram srt10 or maybe even something more newer like a f250 or a Chevy 2500 bison
Did I miss something? The Bugatti is number 10....but there are only 9 cars
Weight of a paper clip made me lol
we need more pre war race cars
Thinking about the transformer coming today not sure about that one
What is number 9 then? Datsun is no.8...& Bugatti is no.10 ...what am i missing?
Number 9 might be the customizable Toyota Tacoma that dropping on June 20. Not sure but maybe?
All hail the Z
Надзвичайно цікава підбірка!
I really like the Lambo, too bad it’s not available anymore.
oh come on hot wheels you have a bigger team, materials, designers etc. You can do a better job, even surpass Mini GT, Tarmac and other brands if you put your mind to it, but you are still determined to stay in your comfort zone and give us the same thing every time.
Do you have any idea which one is number eight ?
Never heard of these
Defender❤❤❤❤
I am HUGE Audi fan and did not get the RS5. Something about it just isn't right. To add to it, I know Nardo Grey is a popular color but I don't like it. Not a fan... sooo. I wish I liked it but I don't. Hope to see more Audi, more well-made.
I hope Proton Saga becomes premium or RLC in the future.
I've seen a lot of hype for this car, not being rude but curious to know why it's such a popular car
@@mozzarellabmx Its a Malaysian brand car and very popular in malaysia
@@muhammadhadisulaiman1248 thanks! Never really heard of them in any firm of being popular before hand
The chaser was the only one 4 me
They cheap out on that Porsche , that is just a regular premium.. they are gonna keep for themselves…
where is number 8 ????
Hey is there no number 8? 🤔
I need the up coming Taco Bell
Ur missing the Lamborghini (9:43, Nevermind)
Hope I will be a
Able to findthese!!!
Rs7 mantap
idk why hot wheels is trying to compete in a space that their design language just doesn't allow for.
This might be the best assessment and/or criticism.
It's obvious, hw does it for the love of money. And Ppl will buy anything "hot wheels "
What do you mean by "their design language doesn't allow"?
design parameters, minimal and delicate details. But they insist on reusing molds and continuing in their same comfort zone and we all know that Mini GT, Tarmac and other more expensive brands are gaining more ground.@@truenoae8689
@@truenoae8689modern HW are out of scale, their design is always a toy like, they leave essential details such as mirrors, their tyres are way too thick and even premiums still have this tradition when one set of them are bigger than the other, their wheels are never accurate and etc. Basically all of that are specific choices by Mattel that makes HW stand out, but also cant compete with the new wave of Brands like MiniGT, Tarmac, Pop Race, CM Model and many other
I would like to buy 2 Bugatti just so I can open the hood but I have a budget so I must buy 1. I am a big fan of elite 64.
Does Mattel ever tell you when these sets come out? If, of course, you’re allowed to Share that information.
Sold individually on mattell website
🏆 Bugatti 🇫🇷❤❤❤
So if the porsche is number 7, datsun is number 9 and the bugatti is number 10 where is number 8?
Is there 10 in this line?
They're nice cars but they don't roll very nicely like other Hotwheels. I was a bit disappointed to find that out.
I want the Bugatti more than the Porsche or Datsun
Lamely, ever the hype-man. Trying to drum up popularity for Elite 64. You forgot to mention that they are all shipped in a clamshell protector.
