The south side mangrove edge of that channel normally holds the bigger trout this time of year. Just my personal experience but give it a shot the next time you’re out there.

It's actually the reverse here in Cali. The deeper water always stays cooler. Shallower water will always warm up faster...

Interesting! I think it's because our water is typically warmer !

I love the high quality b roll and music choices in these. Another thing I find interesting that I've noticed is that Florida fishermen don't see nearly as many trout as we do in the guif in Texas, we have almost no snook(even though i do get them rarely) since they were overfished in the 80s and 90s to the point of almost non existence along the Texas coast until they made it where you can only keep one a day above 18 inches. Also also, do you like your simrad? any plans on changing that up or is it good, don't see many in videos these days and was wanting an opinion on them! Keep it up bud!

Appreciate it a ton! There are certain areas around here I know I can catch a lot of little trout. As far as giants, they have been hard to come by. We do have a lot of snook it seems but during these cold fronts I can't get them to eat.
As far as the simrad, I definitely like it, but I like the garmin my parents boat has a lot more. I don't know if its just a high version of garmin in comparison to the simrad but the responsiveness of the simrad seems slow compared to garmin. No plans to change as I don't have the funds 😂😂 hoping one day this channel can support me well enough to be able to afford comparison videos like that 😂😂
