I don't think him being in Persona is the reason people like him. Persona just gave him exposure. I wouldn't have heard of him if I hadn't played Persona.

I was so happy to find out he makes music outside of the persona series !
It’s like Memories of You, but from the perspective of Minato/Yuki. This would have made a perfect alternative ending track for the game or the movie had our main narrowly survived sacrificing himself.
