My 06 Softail has them from factory. The only issue is that if you own another bike without the self cancel like I do. I always find myself forgetting to turn them off.

Old and broken lower back shit, is why I went to the triple. GIANT SQUID LAV MIC, is the best mic i've found so far for the gopro. I'm still running a session and it gets great audio.

My old 1980 ish yamaha 1100 xs had self canceling indicators, no idea how it worked

I just got my first street bike and had someone I know follow me and maaan, I'd turn down a road and cancel it make another turn and flat out forgot about it for 30 min straight the car I had following me was like putting there blinkers on then her hazards then started throwing her hands up at me so I flipped her off 😆 she threw on the windsheild wipers and I'm like WHAT IN THE WORLD!!! and that stupid little indicator light was on the ENTIRE time and I didn't notice.
My new FTR has self canceling indicators, I love it! I might look at buying these for my DR50

Would that work on a street legal dune buggy it just has a steering shaft no steering column so stock one will not do

Any issues if you enter a roundabout right hand blinker and exit with left?
I’m wondering the same. That is how you’re supposed to indicate!
Just flick the indicator to the left mid roundabout to indicate left as normal. It should self cancel after you've exited the roundabout and of it doesn't you just indicate left again to cancel it manually. The roundabouts on my test run aren't big enough to indicate out of so no example unfortunately

What model GoPro do you use? I had the same static issue with my motovlogging mic and it turns out it was the adapter, mines a Hero 4. Might save you a few dollars if it's just the adapter :)

Is it bad my 2010 bmw f800st has self cancelling indicators and bikes these days don't include them? 😂 granted it will only do it over 40mph, which I think Is a neat safety feature of the system :)
How long did it take to get used to not having to cancel the indicator all the time ? I'd be constantly pressing it out of habit

it looks like aj needs a new mic then i always use my left hand indicator to exit the round about's i am old fashion like that so this item wouldn't help that much it might help for lane changes i guess mate

Motorcycle riding is an art form and many of us take days weeks months and years refining our skill on the road. To a motorcycle purest, technology such a self cancelling indicators takes away from those learned skills. What comes next? Self steering and braking motorcycles...
I think there's definitely a market for these self cancelling indicators, albeit not for everyone.. Nor for every manufacturer.

Thank fuck you didn’t lose audio on the rear camera. That exhaust note is just beautiful. So angry. Love it. Self cancelling indicators are a great safety feature too. Often see bikers riding for kilometres down the road with a blinker flashing and creating confusion
