ID3 by Uncle T Dealer Update Pt1

Our list of events in order. This is the Uncle T version, you may have a different experience.
1 VW contact via email asking us to book in to dealer for our 12v battery replacement and update
2 Dealer fits replacement battery leaves car on update over night at dealers time 1 to 2 Days.
3 At some point in the future VW will contact you to let you know when the over the air update is ready for your car.
4 Your car should then download the update as you drive it.
5 The car can only install the now downloaded update if not moved switched off and static for about seven hours. (over night)
The car should now show software version 3.0
Note: If your car has software version 2.4 then over the air update is possible to 3.0 or more.
Some early cars will not show system software 2.4 and remain 2.3 even after dealer update but can still update to ver 3.0 via over the air update see video.

Once you have version 2.4 your ready for the over the air update VW then notify you. on our car Version 2.3 is updated via the Dealership.
