When considering buying both this and Hive, I decided to look for the dice tower reviews of the games. It's fun to see how far the channel has come compared to way back in 2010 :)

At approx 3:55 there is a small mistake: The rules says that "...the same goods type cannot be both surrendered and taken at the market...". Since brown+pink card is picked up, you cant put down a brown+brown.

I got the game, its very pleasant. It plays very nice, easy with some interesting choices to make. The production values are top notch. Good looking and in a wonderful box;.

Thanks so much, Tom. Again. :D
I've been wondering whether or not to buy this game and now I'm 100% sure.
I love your reviews because I seem to have a very similar taste and this helps A LOT when making up my mind.

Jaipur is my favorite game currently and I'd never even expect to LIKE a two-player game. Runners up are Tzolk'in and The Resistance.

We have two copies of Jaipur and it plays perfectly with four players.

Is this at all similar to Splendour ? If so, which is the better game? Thanks

No, not even close. Its apples and pranges compared to Splendor, so you cant really call one better than the other. For what its worth, both are very high on my list.

I sometimes completely switch off when people are explaining games to me. Tom's better than most at this, his voice is good. I think it just means maybe the game isn't for me, or at the very least it doesn't sound like it is until I play it.

I strongly recommend not buying this game- it is so luck dependent. Probably one of the worst games that I own.
