My favourite thing about this scene is that their enthusiasm isn't even acting, because the majority of the cast actually *were* kids when this song came out and would actually remember it with a child's passion.
This scene is so magical. I don’t know what it is. I loved this movie and this scene in particular. Some years ago I went to my nephew's wedding and the reception was held in a huge dining room with a dance floor. The place was a very exclusive club in downtown L.A. After dinner, Thriller suddenly blasted through an amazing sound system and the dancing broke out. A lot of the couple's friends and the wedding party performed as if they had rehearsed for days. Blew everyone's mind. Amazing to watch.

Thankfully he has been exposed to MJ his entire life. I have the double album that he has seen. But it’s hard for my straight A white boy to master the Thriller dance. Hell, my white self can’t do it either, but I can sure sing the hell out of it. It’s just so good. MJ will always be my fave. this is exactly what I did when I went on a Sunset Cruise in Mexico. the DJ played good music but no one was dancing or having a good time. so I started dancing and leading people on and just like this scene I had everyone dancing and partying like crazy! 😁😄
