You guys haven’t revisited Isaiah lately have you? He is considered one of if not the greatest prophet of the Old Testament. Jesus quotes from Isaiah pretty frequently. Wanna know what Isaiah wrote about feasts and holidays? It’s not pretty…. Fair warning.
Jesus taught to keep His commandments not to keep the law or the feasts. He had two commandments:
1. Love the Father with everything you have. Body, soul, and spirit.
2. Love your neighbor as you love yourself.
Mark 12:30-31

In the past I have gone to other places for Passover with other friends. However this year I decided to have it at home. We didn't have a lot but there were four of us and it went very well.

Is this correct? And I also am a little busy so I didn’t pay very close attention the whole time, so what days and I supposed to do this? I read in the Bible that it’s the second month, which is April. But do I do this feast for the first 7 days of the month? Or any 7 days within the month lol? I’m confused sorry. I’m completely new to this stuff.

@@Eternal_inquire eat lamb , unleavened bread and bitter herb , then 7 days of unleavened bread eating only not regular yeast bread. We are going yo wash feet too like Jesus did. We are doing a communion too. We don't do all the same things the Jews do like seder plate which was a later invention. Bible is quite simple instructions read exodus 12

This is a lot of information to take in for my first Passover next year. I will have to rewatch many times. The Holy Spirit lead me to know this with the curiosity of unleavened bread.

Some of what he is saying is Rabbinical Tradition without Biblical reference such as the Charoset. The Egg also has no place in a true Passover meal, it was added later.
It helps if we honor the correct day of the Passover. The first day of Nissan was 3/11/24, according to the New Moon. Passover was 14 days later on 3/25/24. Unleavened bread began on 3/26/24. The Bible says nothing about a 13th month.

Thank your for the great information. This is my first year keeping Passover with friends. I would just like to address one error I noticed, 1 Corinthians 5 7-8 is not commending to Christians keep the feast, it is an exhortation for Christians to purge out sin from their lives. Read Colossians 2:16-17. Blessings

Praise be the Most High God for redeeming us through His son Lord Jesus Christ.
I want to celebrate the Passover this year. If I do, it will be my first Passover. But, I'm afraid to do it alone, because it is just me and my husband. I'm a Christian, but I don't belong to a church at the moment to call home. I'm going to be completely on my own through this. My husband has to work. There is no way around it. I can't drive. So, I will probably practice it at home alone. I'm completely dependent on God to lead me through it. Watching this is giving me ideas. The Seder is intimidating me. I'm worried about my husband's crazy work schedule. It messes with my focus and the intimacy that I want to have at this time.
It's been a journey these last 4 years for me. I've been a Christian my whole life. It's been quite a journey. But in the last 4 years, I have been seeking to draw closer to God. I made a commitment to read the Bible from beginning to the end. This last February I started thinking about spring and that lead me to think about the Passover. That lead to the next thought, "Should I celebrate the Passover?". In my heart I know I want to. But I don't know how I am going to do it. I'm getting emotional thinking about it. It's times like this I wish I was already part of a community or family. This would be easier if I wasn't alone.
Your video is giving me ideas and it is helping things take shape. I'm starting to believe that it is possible. I think I can do this. But I am still not sure. I think I know already that I want this to be intimate and personal. In reality I know that is not going to happen. My husband is going to be in his routine mode and that is going to make it difficult. I'm not faulting him. I love him and support him. He is a good person and I know that he is in a different place with God. But at this moment celebrating the Passover is a sudden change in our lives. It's difficult to make a change like that, when you've already being along with a demanding paycheck to paycheck lifestyle. It's like trying to change course in the middle of a rapid river. That's how it feels to me anyways.

I totally hear and feel you. but you are not alone in this. and i want to encourage you, nothing is in vain. just try your best. God sees your heart and intentions. why not start just focusing first on your heart and getting the leavened stuff out of it, clean it as it is your temple to honor God? God knows where you are in and coming from, he loves the hearts that are willing to honor him. The Torah doesn't say anything about the seder (this is a lot about Jewish tradition that has been added later) so break it down to the intimate level of a pessach/passover between you and God? If you can get Matzah, that's great. Eat Matzah (unleavened bred), lamb if you want and bitter herbs and a cup of grape juice or wine and gratefully remember what God did in Exodus for Israel as well as Yeshua did for you/all of us. that's the main thing. make it a special time for you and God. and keep eating the unleavened bread instead of normal one for 7 days (feast of unleavened bred). many blessings and keep walking step by step, He will guide you.
Elijah already came so therefore no need for the glass.

Lots of great info, but it had to be the last supper, because He died when the last Passover lamb was slain, which would have been eaten in the evening that begins the 15th (unleaven bread)
David, I appreciate your work at 119, but feel the need to say that many of us came out of traditional churches because they celebrated Easter bunnies and eggs and Christmas Santa Claus with evergreen trees. Mixing Gods appointed days with pagan customs.
I think it would be fair to warn people that the Jewish rendition of the Seder plate as you taught here is copied from the Greek symposium.
Perhaps we as Hebrew Root believers should stick with the Bible’s Passover meal with the three elements mentioned in Exodus: Lamb, bitter herbs, unleavened bread. Thoughts anyone else?Shalom.
Thanks for the comment. The Torah commands us to memorialize the Exodus with a meal. That is what the seder does. If you don't like some of the traditions, don't incorporate them. But there is nothing inherently wrong with traditions. The Messiah incorporated wine in his Passover, for instance, even though the Torah says nothing about having wine during Passover. Regarding the supposed connections to the Greek symposium, the parallels involve things like reclining at a table. So what? Hitler drank water; is drinking water evil? Like I said, as long as you are memorializing the Exodus, do what you feel is best. The traditional seder is just one option.

how long must i celebrate it do i have to eat unleavened bread for 7 days is there a certain time i can eat like at noon or at night ir can i just eat leavened bread whenever example a snack in the morning do i also do the story telling everyday with my family or is it one day then the rest of the 7 i eat the bread normally
Should we eat lamb on Passover?
Hi David, what are your thoughts on the fact that it says in exodus that gentiles are not to eat of the lamb? I’m seeing a lot of messianic congregations believe Gentiles and Jews are still supposed to be in unity but yet different rules . I’ve been offered up verses about Gentiles not being allowed to eat the Lamb etc
Exodus 12 says that they can if they are circumcised. And not even Jews can eat it if they are uncircumcised. So it's not a double standard for Jews and Gentiles-both are free to enjoy to eat the Passover lamb if they are circumcised. It's kind of a moot point, however, since we can't even have a Passover lamb in our modern time. We can still have a memorial seder with bitter herbs, etc.

This is what we do. This is all we need.
@kericaswell6084 The Seder is simply a Jewish tradition. It is found no where in Scripture. We are commanded, simply to eat unleavened bread/matzah (for all x7 days), bitter herbS, and lamb. Drinking wine/juice is what Yeshua /יהרשע did and told His taught ones to drink of it on the evening of His last Pesach /Passover on this earth. We are also commanded to eat our Pesach meal in haste because the Hebrews had to flee Mitsryim /Egypt in a hurry. We are also to have shoes on our feet and a staff in hand.
Are the Seder dinner and the Passover feast synonymous?
I live in an unbelieving family so by the time the passover comes, I still got foods with leaven such as milk, bread, fried chicken etc. What should I do? I'm 13 so I don't get to decide much on my own.
If your family isn't willing to observe the season, it sounds like there's not much you can do about removing leaven from the home. Just do the best you can with what you can do on your own, like avoid eating leavened foods during that time. Praying for you!

Your body is your temple of worship. Don't eat anything with leaven in it and make sure your area ( your room) or your bed if you don't have a bedroom is crumb free. See about earning some money and go buy your own matzah, boil your egg, get some romaine lettuce and some horseradish for your meal. I don't have any suggestion for the shank but you can get apple slices, sprinkle with cinnamon and eat a few walnuts. More importantly, do the prayers and toast the Lord with cranberry juice for the sweet thing on the plate. Dollar store is your friend minus the matzah. The Lord sees your soul so just try to do what you can to honor him.
Praise God such a young person as yourself has it in your heart to follow the Lord and observe Passover. I pray your walk with the Lord continues to grow daily and hopefully your family come around🙏🏾 God bless you my partner in Christ

When you remove the leaven from your home can you keep it outside or does it have to be thrown away
It represents sin, why would you want it back in your home? That’s what I asked myself some years ago. So I throw mine away. I don’t want to give “sin,” to my neighbors. Have a blessed moed’im.
So…someone tell me PLEASE. Friends hosting Passover told me we should ONLY eat lamb, matzah and herbs because side dishes are pagan. Is that true??

actually yes, the elements of the seder with the plate and the egg as well as the charroset and the guidance through a haggadah came into the picture only much later through the influences of roman and especially hellenic customs. So yes, biblical passah is only what you wrote. if you take in a cup of wine or grape juice just like Yeshua did to remember his salvation that would be biblical, too. but anything else was added through jewish (rabbinical) traditions throughout time and history... search for hellenic symposium and pessach seder for more information

Is there a teaching by you or someone else at 119 that explains when we are to kill and eat Pesach? I used to begin the preparation to eat Pesach near the end of the 14th day but just recently realized I was probably in error because doing it that way would be after The Destroyer had already come at midnight the night of the 14th. Sacrificing Pesach anytime during the daylight hours of the 14th is too late. Does that sound right?

I respectfully disagree with some of what you're explaining. My belief is to stick to the basics: DEUTERONOMY 12:32 "SEE THAT YOU DO ALL I COMMAND YOU; DO NOT ADD TO IT OR TAKE AWAY FROM IT." He commands us to roast lamb with fire, eat unleavened bread, and bitter herbs. THAT'S IT. The rest, as far as I can see, is ADDED TRADITION! You're walking a fine line and the wrong side of that line is just as bad as Jewish traditions that muddy the waters for a lot of people seeking truth. FOUR GLASSES OF WINE?! Even if they're small, that is A LOT of wine to drink. I seem to have missed all of the scripture that backs up the "COMMANDED" observances like pouring a glass of wine for Elijah, etc. Some scripture was shown to on the screen to back up things like OBSERVE THE HIGH SABBATHS, but YOU HAVE ADDED A LOT OF THINGS THAT ARE NOT COMMANDED. A dish representing mortar? What about all of the other aspects of slavery? Not all slaves were building things. Some were slaves that did laundry. Are we supposed to drink something that tastes like dirty laundry water? NO!! I hope I made my point. I seek the truth. If anyone has it, I am open to learning. May Yehovah bless everyone.

Both use term firstborn. No where says firstborn son. This went for all firstborn for any person, as well as cattle.
