  • In this video series, we take a brief and concise look at the mo'edim (appointed times) of YHWH. Among those days, sometimes called Jewish holidays, are ones called Passover and Unleavened Bread. We'll see where they comes from, how we can memorialize them, and what their prophetic implications are.

Our modern church does not teach these things and we have to learn for ourselves. Be gentle with yourself and don't over complicate things. Jesus ate lamb, bitter herb & unleavened bread. Buy a lamb chop, make a salad with bitter herb and make/buy some flat bread. As you do this the Lord will direct you in Spirit. I for example am not lead to do a seder. I am keeping it simple and doing this in remembering of Him. May the Lord direct your paths and give you peace. Remember God is not the author of confusion. 😊

I recently heard a Rabbi talk about the Seder and said that it is based off of the Greek Symposium. The Seder is like the miracle of the oil as how Jewish celebrate, its not in the Bible. So if the 3 foods were good enough for Jesus they are more than good enough for me! 😊❤

I plan on having a memorial with fellow believers. We will have lamb, bitter herbs, and unleavened bread. We will eat standing up initially while some or one reads from Exodus 11 and 12. Then sit down and discuss how we have become Israel and should keep the Moedim. From there maybe watch the movie the 10 commandments or Passion of the Christ. Hope that information is helpful for those who want to start a tradition in their family or fellowship.

    1st, barley, Unl. bread

    3rd, grapes/olives, Tabernacles
As you know "harvest" is one of the LORD'S major themes!

Just a note, be aware that the seder plate can be the traditions of men and not outlined as the Passover meal.
    "The Seder"
    Lamb roasted on a fire/bitter herbs/unleaven bread/wine
The lamb does not have to be sacrificed to any god/idol, just some butchered lamb, Paul said let every man eat the meat with a clear conscience. Cook it on a grill with open flame. Contact you local meat market and ask if they sell lamb chops. Its just butchered meat. If your conscience pricks at you, ask them if they know in which manner the lamb was butchered and killed. Ask if they sacrificed it to any gods/idols. I rest with a clear conscience that its just meat butchered just as meat. I eat it to memorialize the Passover meal.
Bitter herbs can consist of a salad like substance, lettuce is a bitter herb as is spinach and some other garden vegetables.
Some seder "traditions" say 4 glasses of wine, but to most that don't have wine on the regular, 4 glasses is intoxication, not being sober minded.
Remove all leaven product from home and keep out for a week, and only have unleaven bread for the Passover meal.
    Shalom

Yes! I listened to a Rabbi talk about the Seder, it's based on the Greek Symposium and is full of man made rules that are not in the Bible. Christians are going as far as saying the lamb shank represents Jesus. That's like saying the Christmas tree represents the cross Jesus died on imo. The Talmud is the Jewish hand book while the Bible is ours.

Thank you so very much for this Bible study! I’m trying to learn the law. Thank you for explaining these things in ways I can understand and remember. “Puffed up bread”. See what I mean. Unforgettable. Sad that our churches didn’t think it important to celebrate or teach GOD’S feast days, but instead teach man’s feast days…….Easter and the bunnies, Christmas and the Santa celebrated as Jesus’ birthday…….even though it has nothing to do with Jesus’ birthday, thanksgiving…….is that one of God’s feast days? I was taught that this is the day we show God how grateful and thankful we are to Him for helping the pilgrims, by eating everything we can think of in one day? Thanksgiving isn’t one of God’s feast days, is it? It’s like wow, why were we taught these feast days INSTEAD of the ones God told us to celebrate. Why wouldn’t churches celebrate God’s feast days? Idk. I need to learn it for myself anyway…….the feast days of God. So, I’m trying to learn God’s law and His feast days because I would like to keep them all. Not because I have to but because I choose to. Only now am I understanding that I need to know these things and I should have known them all along. Thank you for your video. God bless you.

But alas, shame on me for not seeking truth sooner, however, now that I am learning to observe God's Holy Feasts I feel so much peace and have a feeling that this is right in my heart, whereas for all those years following Catholic traditions, I always had an unsettling feeling in my heart, like something just didn't add up, and I just ignored that little inside voice that was telling me to seek truth. How can it be that Yeshua observed the Passover with His disciples the evening before His crucifixion?
Could it be that Yeshua was following the calendar His Father had set in the heavens and the others were following the Julian calendar which was introduced by the Romans.
There is a mathematical impossibility that Yeshua was in the tomb for three days and three nights if He was crucified on the Friday, (as the Julian calendar states) and rose on the Sunday.

I believe that the leavening is supposed to represent sin in our lives. So the letter of the law, or the literal reading of the law might say to search out the leavining in your house and remove it. But the spirit of the law, or Gods heart in this law, seems to be suggesting that we diligently search within ourselves and remove (repent - Teshuvah ) any hidden or unrepented for sin in our lives. Because a little leaven levens the whole loaf.
Its seems like this feast day isn't really about what type of bread you eat or weather or not there is yeast in your house, but more of a symbol of the leaven in our lives that the passover lamb was sacrificed for. Because those who's doors were covered in the blood of the lamb, were spared from death. Similarly, those who are covered in the blood of messiah are spared from the second death, as they have been granted eternal life.
In Matthew 16:5-12 Jesus wars his disciples to beware of the doctrine of the Pharisees and Sadducees
'Now when His disciples had come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread. Then Jesus said to them, “Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees.” And they reasoned among themselves, saying, “ It is because we have taken no bread.” But Jesus, being aware of it, said to them, “O you of little faith, why do you reason among yourselves because you have brought no bread? Do you not yet understand, or remember the five loaves of the five thousand and how many baskets you took up? Nor the seven loaves of the four thousand and how many large baskets you took up? How is it you do not understand that I did not speak to you concerning bread?- but to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” Then they understood that He did not tell them to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and Sadducees.'
in Matthew 23:2-3 Jesus seems to be clarifying their doctrine that he was warning them about.
'saying: “The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do. '
So to me it seems like the leaven in the bread is symbolic. And now that Jesus has died on the cross and became the passover lamb.
    1 Corinthians 5:7-8
'Get rid of the old leaven, that you may be a new unleavened batch, as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with the old bread, leavened with malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and of truth. '

What you had to say made much sense since Jesus came not abolish the but fulfil the law and the unleavened bread symbolizes removing the sin from our lives. I see it as a partial fast, not indulging on things that can be a typical part of someone's diet. That may just be me overthinking things as well. 🤔

Everyone better learn that we aren’t to be doing the feasts until we return to the inheritance and to the place where God puts his name.

I know what you mean, but I like John 4:20. Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, but you say that in Jerusalem is the place where people ought to worship.” 21Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. 22You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. 24God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” 25The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah is coming (he who is called Christ). When he comes, he will tell us all things.” 26Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am he.” He knew that the Jews would be overcome and the temple destroyed around 70 a.d.

Sorry to disagree, but the first Pesach was in Egypt. Not the Promised Land. So yes, the sacrifice of the lamb can only be done in the Promised Land, but Yeshua said to perform the Passover meal in remembrance of Him, so because we are grafted in to Israel we can memorialize the original Passover and His sacrifice for us wherever we are in the world. As we have studied Pesach over the years, we believe Yeshua and His disciples held a Seder (or something similar to it) the night He was arrested. We have actually discovered a few clues throughout the Gospels to confirm this belief.
Many blessings and shalom. Chag Pesach Sameach!

How do you calculate Rosh Chodesh? This sets the other feasts... Are we to use a small portion of the barley being Aviv or should all of the barley fields be at least in the Aviv state?
Our very small fellowship is confused since there are people looking for the first Aviv barley every year but then there are verses that suggest the barley was ripe during the first exodus and that you should reap your harvest THEN bring your sheaf as a firstfruits offering... These verses are Leviticus 24:10 & Exodus 9:31...
Any help would be appreciated since we are having trouble justifying the multiple calendars used by Torah observant believers.... How can we know that we're reckoning our feast days correctly?

Christ is the Passover lamb. Unleavened bread represents getting rid of sin (puffed up disobedience and worldliness ie Egypt) Christ is the bread of life, He is the lamb that was slain and His blood washes us clean and the sign of our obedience can be seen over the doorway of our lives. Obedience to Christ saves us. He said, If you love me, Keep my commandments. We eat His unleavened body and drink His pure blood. God in me and I in Him. He broke the bread which was His body and said Take eat this is my body. This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
It's all about Yeshua. Everything! Halleluyah!

Hi, great content in your passover video, well all your videos are very inspirational and useful and informative. But my understanding from passover is that the sacrificial lambs in the old testament times were the foreshadowing of the perfect sacrificial Lamb which was Yeshua. With the crucifixion of Yeshua, He replaced the need to litterally sacrifice a Lamb, otherwise what was the need for Yeshua to die on the cross for us. Yeshua then said to keep the passover as a memorial for what He did, a memorial he instituted by giving us the "bread and wine" meal as a rememberence.
The yeast...any type of yeast is supposed to be cleaned out; taken out, because yeast represents SIN....

Pesach is not a sin sacrifice. It is fulfilled in each person who observes it according to what YHWH commands. It is a feast to YHWH alone for His works and it is idolatry to change the meaning and purpose of this feast and to repurpose it to a man who died on a cross. This is not Torah but a new testament.

Chag Pesach and Feast of Unleavened Bread. I’m wondering why you use pagan names throughout your teaching, for our Elohim יהרה / Yahweh who commanded us to “USE HIS NAME.” And also for His Son, יהרשע / Yeshua? If stating at the beginning that you use will be using their authentic true, confirmed Names, I believe would suffice. I’m asking in love. Please and thank you.

You mentioned that we no longer sacrifice a lamb because it's supposed to be done in Jerusalem, but you didn't mention that we don't need to sacrifice a lamb anyway, anymore even if there was a temple in Israel and we were there because Yahshuah fulfilled that requirement by being the ultimate and only true prophetic sacrificial Lamb that takes away the sin of the world. That's a very crucial and important point to miss!

Jesus Christ has already fulfilled these feasts. So, I see no need to keep them literally, but our unwavering faith in the finished work of Christ is all that matters. Anything else overboard is JUDAIZING our faith.

Pasta is unleavened. So is Ramen. It's only tradition to avoid anything that the rabbis consider chametz. I prefer to stick to the Word because Yahshua Messiah who is the Word made flesh had a huge problem with the rabbis trading His Word for man's tradition.
I view non yeast leavening agents as the joy and highs you get from being in YHWH. There is pleasure and joy to be found in YHWH that is not sin. The Joy of YHWH is our strength.

This is being taught by man’s/flash own interpretation of scripture. Man’s tradition
It’s simple to one who actually has the Holy Spirit. We celebrate this by remembering what Jesus Christ did and removing sin out of this house which is our flesh
Stay away from legalism for it brings forth a curse

~ Moses Served No Wine At Passover.
And Yeshua Served No Passover Lamb As His Body & Blood.
Yeshua Said, As Often As You Do This (The Bread & Wine) Do This In Reembrace Of Me.
Yeshua Did Not Say When You Do This (Bread & Wine) Once A Year For Passover,
Do It In Remembrance Of Me.
The Passover Lamb Was Not For Taking Away Sin.
Yeshua Is Not the Passover Lamb,

This is overall a good study. However, it's sadly not Christian. It fails to see that the Christian church is the NC Israel who are to keep the festival in its fulfilment as a life of holiness and devotion to God, began as a result of partaking by faith of Christ the passover , all the days of their life until rhe 2nd coming
. THE memorial of this feast in its fulfilment is the weekly Lords supper on the Lords day with unleavened bread, observed by the church as God's congregation in his temple which is their gathering on the day of holy convocation. It's not a yearly celebration of eating unleavened bread and passover . Thus the last days memorial keeping of the fulfillled feast, is the church's Lords supper on the 1st day of each week.

119 ministries would most likely not categorize themselves as Christian. You are correct in seeing their teachings will not completely align with typical Christian ones. I can't speak for them, of course, but I imagine they would align more with Hebrew Roots

    • @churchindangerberean3518
      @churchindangerberean3518 Před 2 měsíci

@@wale8748 And Martin.asare33 Well, I don't believe that Hebrew Roots is necessarily NOT Christian. "Christ" is based on the Greek word for "Annointed One". The Hebrew word for the same thing is "Messiah". We are not UnChristian, we just prefer to be called Messianic. The difference is not as much who we believe in, as it is how we live that out, following a lifestyle more like we believe Jesus(Greek)/Yeshua(Hebrew/Aramaic) did--as our example. This means keeping what we are able of the Torah instructions such as worshipping on a Saturday Sabbath, keeping the Holy Days, and other things in the ways we believe were practiced and taught by Jesus. I definitely do claim to be a Christian. But I also refer to myself as Messianic. And, I guess I am Hebrew Roots, too. That term just comes with a lot of baggage I do not care to claim. I think 119 Ministries is trying to straighten that out some. I am glad.
