  • The bushes are out of control around the property so let's tame them with the DEWALT DCPH820B hedge trimmer. Instead of going with a battery or gas powered Stihl product I went this route. For ≈$160 with this option and even got a free battery!

Just bought one last week and I think it's terrific. It's about 10% less powerful than my corded trimmer but it's a no brainer trading that little bit of power for the added reach and the ability to got to a bush that needs trimming without having to spend 20 minutes unspooling cords and 20 minutes putting the cords away. It also allows me to do a better cut of getting an even surface on the hedge by being able to cut across the entire top of the hedge without changing over to the other side of the hedge. Last, it allows me to use the same batteries that I use for a number of DeWalt power tools. Thanks for reviewing this tool.

Its a handy unit for sure, and I cant agree more on using the batteries across the platform. Thanks for stopping in!

I always forget how important it is to disperse lubricant on my trimmer. Might upgrade from my corded to a battery unit now. Thanks K6 outdoors! Keep the videos coming. 👍

I use the Stihl kombi with the kma 111r motor head and just recently got the electric km 135 r motor head. The benefits of going Electric 1. Easy on my lungs 2. I can start work super early in the morning without disturbing anybody 3. Don't need to buy gas
    4. And like a cordless drill it should be maintenance free.
The only downside is 1.5k for the motorhead, three batteries, and a rapid charger😅 but over the lifespan of the equipment it should become cheaper to operate then the gas motor, i hope

Mine came brand new out the box with a bow bend in the shaft and blade! Is this normal? I don’t see how you can cut straight with that! Does yours have a bend to it?

Mine shuts off after about 20 minutes of cutting. Does it overheat and have a shut off feature or do you think it’s a bigger issue. Using a 20v battery.

@@jamesoneill2942sounds like a battery problem 20minutes non stop use could be depleting the battery fast, best to have two batteries so that way you can charge one and swap one out
