This channel is like a automotive ASMR, no talking, no advertising, just pure work on the car. Really relaxing 😃 I remember this Audi very well, my uncle was driving it as a taxi. It traveled 500-600 thousand kilometers without any serious failure. Is there a chance for a clip with the first generation Fiat Punto, which is very rare on the roads these days? 🤔
@@michals547 Yeah. That's very true. Rust and climate kills them. Also their metal body isn't best at being rust proof let me say 😀 But I think also people doesn't care that much about maintaining properly this kind of old city cars. Kind of like Fiat Uno - these are the same case.
@@antoniofagarto2033 These are the cars from the south. They don't pay attention to resilience and durability because they don't need it. Only Volkswagen and Audi are resistant to harsh climate.
We've the same problem as Germans in Italy. You can find old Fiat's and VW without any rust under the body if you go to south Italy because they don't use salt. Salt as you know can kill the entire body of the car especially under it. German roads as north italian roads are full of salt throw down on the highway that's why you'll always see rust under italian cars especially coming from the north of the nation. However, they're very very reliable as Audi's and VW's I can confirm you there are still turbodiesel's with over 500k or 600k even 800k kms on the clock out there also gasoline engines are reliable but you'll have to change clutch and its components at least two times in 600k kms depending on the path you daily take.

I am driving the B4 coupe. Have been driving it for twelve years. Great car, seldom breaks, but when it does - spare parts nightmare. Some of the parts are from Audi 80, some from 90, some from 100 and a bunch are unique.
I almost bought one of these but opted for the coupe version (7a 5 cylinder quattro). I racked up over a 1/4 million hassle free miles before i decided i wanted more more power and swapped a modded 3b to replace the 7a (did use the 7a cams though). Great, well made, reliable car for sure. Granted this doesn't have the 7a the body (from what I can tell) looks to be in great shape! Great find!
Looks perfect, in my country you would find this car at the next dealer advertised as 1 preowner, old man, true 150k on the clock and timing beld and all fluids done at 149.500 km :D

Rust kills more cars than faulty drivetrains. I know a Mercedes trained mechanic from the UK who moved here to Arizona just so he would never have to touch another rust bolt again. It is a pleasure to have my E38 and E39 here along with my CLK55 in a place with no corrosion. Lots of dust. Impossible to keep the exterior clean. But I’ll take that over rust.

That's how I got into my Audi 80 B3 1.6TD, sitting on the grass for 10+ years because my grandma's boyfriend wouldn't fit there anymore, so I got it to fix it up and with new battery it powered up like it ran just tomorrow. Immortal technology right there.
