I was in the US Air Force and Stationed on Crete for 8 years. I returned to Greece 30 years later in 2018 with my wife. She never was in Greece. We took Sea Jet Ferries to Santorini. When I was stationed on Crete in the mid 80-90s I took many Trips to Thira. It wasn't crowded then, When we were there it was so crowded. We had a great time but were more than ready to leave for Crete after three days. Love your videos.

ARGO is my all time fav place to eat in santorini. We sat on an outside table with un interrupted view of sunset. The meat platter and greek salad wine what else can you ask for with our wedding anniversary. Once covid is over we will go on a day trip from naxos with our daughter this time. Just to eat there.

€50 for a cabana on the beach is extortionate, way too much to spend for a sunbed
I hear you BUT, it was a whole HUGE cabana right on the water first row with a bucket of two bottles of prosecco, towels, and mist refresher...I thought it was very very cool!
I had the same Pasta/Lobster in Italy for 40 Euros - not kidding. Mare Blu Restaurant in San Remo. (4.5 google stars and you know what that means with all the spoilt American tourist writing garbage). Sorry, another Tourist trap.
Hi..you can do Santorini on a budget..If you go to private vineyards ect..it's going to cost you.
I went in 2018 and stayed in Oia,you can get a decent meal for €15/20.
A bus into Fira was €1.80 took about 30 mins,if you went to a restaurant a Gyro's could be €14 + at the street food bars in Fira center €2.80.
Obviously Santorini is a "luxury' holiday and is very beautiful,so attracts a lot of cruise ships that stop off daily...they spend a lot of money.
