From the last 3 songs alone, I wonder where the limit might be for Su, if there even is one. Her voice leaves me with waves of goosebumps more and more often. Especially with Monochrome or this song here, with this epic, less overloaded, instrumental, which indeed has soundtrack level. Awesome opener for the album, to which I am now really looking forward and can hardly wait.
One thing I would like to note, however, is that imo, the prize for the best supporting role in this song goes to the drums. Normally, you talk about harmonies among different vocalists. For me, it is the drums and Su which are perfectly matched here, complement each other and create/define the soundscape.
I may not make any friends with the following, but when it comes to live performances in general, I wonder if the original Kami Band will be back on board. By the sound of all the new tracks, I actually imagine and hear the western formation of it behind the ladies on stage. 😏 Luckily we won't have to wait for long to have the answer to that. :)

I'm a 46 year old dude whose a very new fan whose been doing a deep dive the last few months and I LOVE this song! I watched a 37 minute video of an English professor who broke down every single vocal line and melody and it made me appreciate what's really happening here! It's a call to arms to their fans..they are changing and need our help and support and continued participation!
He said something I loved, he said he was sick of hearing people insult the band's new sound. He said "guess what they are evolving and they are grown ups now and you should be one too!" Haha love it. Really excited to see what other twists and turns they throw our way this album.
Yes, the evolution of Su's voice is evident in this track.. which is insane considering how amazing she could sing at 14+.
Edit: and as always they bring such a positive message! The world is falling apart in front of our eyes but if we stand together and focus our hearts and energy fully, we can do anything!

One listen and I loved it instantly. I know there were others who said it was similar to FDTD. I thought the intro part was similar, but once it gets to the A part, it is very emotional that Su-'s vocals and the synthesizer riffs, and I thought it had a slightly different vibe.

I LOVE FDtD - one of my all time favorites. My immediate thought when I heard the chanting in this song was that this is its spiritual successor. It’s more epic, empowering and emotional, and you’re absolutely right, this will be insane live! The chanting is simple, somewhat primal, but how epic is it to have the chanting and Su is on top of that. Fucking Incredible!

Su's voice sounds celestial on this track! 🌟 I'm sure this song will be an otherworldly experience at their concerts. 🦊🤘 I don't think many BABYMETAL songs can captivate me the way this one does whilst looking at a static album cover. You can definitely tell it's a concept album because the lyrics all follow the same theme. They are kind of ahead of the curve of current world events, very foreboding. Let's hope BABYMETAL and THE ONE can contribute to a change of direction, no matter how small.

It's a bit like the album songs are like a soundtracks, only the live performance is when everything comes together. It really feels like some epic scenes should go with this song.

@@GlassMoonGaming I've listened to low quality fancam of the first ever live performance (first day, Babymetal performed 2 days) and the instruments are muffled in the fancam but Su-metal's voice is glorious. Their is something special about the little lady.
GMG, I TOTALLY understand what you're saying about touring. I live in Vancouver, BC Canada, and they've never come here either. They've only toured in Canada once as far as I know, that that was only 2 provinces. Ontario and Quebec. So wrong side of the country for me. So I totally hear you. This band was literally life-changing for me and I very much want to be able to see them live before they decide to call it quits. Ideally I'd love to see them perform in Japan, but sadly I doubt that will ever happen based on my personal circumstances. So I must hope they come here instead. Anyhow, amazing reaction as always. I'm waiting for album to finally come out as well!

Hi Brian, take a look at the lyrics, there are definitely links between Metal Kingdom and Divine Attack, I reckon that there are common themes through Monochrome as well, but they sit so far apart on the album that we need more evidence before we can definitively link them. However, I do have a picture developing in my head.
The track listing for the album is out and it goes:

So, as you can see there is some distance between DA and Monochrome. We will have to see where the next two songs fit into the track listing to get a better feel. But I am thinking there is a theme running through the first three tracks dropped, so I reckon the others will contribute to the story.

Su sounds so beautiful. Like really really beautiful. It's like she is singing me a story straight into my heart. And when Moa came in with her English lines. OMG I about died and went to heaven. Absolute chills and overwhelming feelings of being proud of her. She needs more lines in other songs and I would really love a true duet with Su. I think she is very happy concentrating on dancing and supporting Su, but her voice is pure warmth.
This song is going to be nothing short of epic LIVE. I see others saying it's the weakest of the 3 songs so far but I don't feel that way at all.
I can also see this as an anime Music Video. Animated Su and Moa and possibly the Kami band getting suited up in Samurai armor and raising the ONE battle flag. 🤘🦊🤘

This is really great. The FDTD comparison is one I have seen a few times and it’s a good one. FDTD is a favourite. Su’s voice though. It’s impossible to get past its sheer beauty & magnificence…..just like Su herself. Can’t wait to see Moa getting the crowd hyped during this one.

I think the album tells the story of where they went and what they did for the last year, although they still had work here to do there were other worlds that needed the help of the three metal spirits, so The Fox God had to send them away for one year to help those worlds. Well that is my guess, it seems all three songs are based around some type of conflict so perhaps this is the theme and the live show will fill in the rest of the story, either through narration or elaborate sets and theatre or more than likely both. I see a show like Legend S crossed with Dark Night Carnival crossed with 10 BABYMETAL Budokan. The only thing we know for sure is that whatever they do it will be the most epic thing they have ever done.

Several parts of the lyrics are related to "Divine Attack" and "Monochrome". At least many (if not all) the metaphors are similar and the majority of the language is almost the same.
Musically, it's like 99% Su-metal. And its totally amazing (I admit being a little biassed tough). The way she enunciates the words in the second verse with the accent of the drum beats is just glorious. I love this song... it goes to my top 10 right away and who knows...
I can't wait to see the live performance to this one. Just a few months more... it's gonna be EPIC! 😁

I am not getting an FDTD vibe off this song. I do get a particular vibe, especially from the melody. I am getting the same vibes I get it from some songs by artists like Loreena McKennitt or the band Clannad (or perhaps the more obscure songs of their sister Enya). But done with a bit of symphonic metal underpinning. The FDTD melody has such a swaying legato feel and smoother [
The FDTD vibe I got was specifically from the opening/intro to the song. It's almost the exact same chord progression and the structure is the practically identical right up until the big entrance, if that makes sense. After that, it's definitely different. Thanks!
Su , in my opinion , is probably one of the best vocalists around at the moment. The power is immense, she just sucks the emotion out of you, yes , I did tear up listening to this. This feel like something is building up to a great battle , so on a concept album, I'd expect pure hard hitting metal in the next track. I don't know how, but they get better and better the longer they exist. May they exist forever.

Nice reaction. I hear the chord changes from the song FDTD also. But the rest of the song is new. The audience participation will be over the top for this. Lyrically I get the feeling whoever wrote this song was feeling the depression and oppression of the lockdowns. And feeling some regret over lost time. And now employ folks to not squander their freedom. As the lyrics say Thank God, Thank the world, Raise your flags but remember we did this together. We are one after all. This is the second song from the new album that speaks of going out there and doing something with your life that matters to you. Go forth with your dreams hopes prayers and be free.

I should wash out my mouth with soap once again and never post again after a first listen. I felt a little disappointed after the first time listening to this song. But as with the last two singles, it's getting better with every single time. I'm still not a fan of the chant part in the intro / chorus (it reminds me of soccer worldcup music, which is not my thing). But the first verse and pre-chorus in particular blow me away. This is once again Su's voice being in a league of her own. It's so soft and beautiful, with so much emotion and dynamics, simply fantastic.

Well we have their schedule for the first half of the year, BABYMETAL RETURNS big arena show next week, then from april until June tour with Sabaton around northern Europe. But from June on I bet they are going to take the chance to participate in some of Europe's summer festivals like Download or Resurrection Rock, and from the fall I guess there will another big arena show in Japan and an USA/Canada tour.
They still owe to pay us a visit, they were coming for the first time to Spain and to South East Asia on summer 2020 and all that was cancelled. I bet they will try to make an effort to make it happen at some point too.
But yeah, 100% they are not avoiding the United States on an album release year.
