Hell yeah man! This song has been used by Babymetal as a staple show closer for almost a decade.
*Interludes:* Done multiple times throughout a show for crowd engagements. This is one of Babymetal’s trademark as a live performance act, and they do very well to keep the crowd involved.
*Camera time for the Kami Band:* We suggest older stuff because the Kami band was shown much more back in the day. The camera doesn’t focus on the band as much in newer stuff.
*The circular ring:* Fits with the “O” imagery for their 4th album, “The Other One”.
*Background to what Su said:* Babymetal faced many challenges since 2017 - Yuimetal left due to health, Kami Band guitarist Mikio passed away, Covid (bad for a live performance band), then hiatus. Finally, Momo was announced as official 3rd member the day before. So this show (day 2) was Babymetal reborn and back to a trio again since end of 2017, and resuming of intense touring. Su is giving the fans a heart felt “thank you” for their continued support throughout all these challenges.
    Suggestion:
*Rondo of Nightmare:* Look for Budokan 2014 version. Su-solo with band intro.

@@Hymnodic That’s true, but they still supported them for ~8 years so they will always be part of the older Babymetal era. I think it’s still important for anyone getting into Babymetal to see both the new and old.

@@Ganimal83 Why is it important? So you can try to get them to relive your nostalgia which can't actually happen?

@@Hymnodic It’s important because there is a difference from early era and now. And one can appreciate their growth as a band.
Why are you so hostile towards me suggesting their earlier content?
Did you think I was one of those fans who’s salty and stuck in the past? That wasn’t the intent of my original comment.

This is like their anthem - and with Herman and Sam from DragonForce contributing the guitar arrangements (they played on the studio recording for the album version) it was likely to bear at least some similarity to 'Through the Fire And Flames'.
The "interlude" you mentioned is simply part of the song and part of the performance - it is included for a reason (so don't cut it or rush through) ... they don't do that in every song. In this instance it was like the prelude to battle - and it gave Su the time to signal for the crowd to open the pits for the walls of death.
About the song itself - 'Road of Resistance' is a very positive song, it isn't the usual "resist the machine or the system etc" that we might expect from the title. It is about forging your own road even where a road doesn't already exist, not necessarily going the easy way or following the path already made by somebody else, so if the way you want to go has never been trodden you may have to get past the resistance of the undergrowth, obstacles, hurdles and things blocking your way etc to find your own way.
It could easily be used to describe BABYMETAL's own story - they could have followed the well trodden path of J-Pop and been very successful, but they chose to go with Metal ... but again they didn't just follow the same old format of every other metal band, they have done it their own way and it hasn't always been an easy route to follow.
The Kami Band consists of 2 guitarists (at the PIA Arena shows they were Chris Kelly and CJ Masciantonio), a bassist (Clint Tustin) and the drummer (Anthony Barone). If you watch the 2015 official live in Japan video you will get your wish with a quick cut away to the drummer (Hideki Aoyama in that one).
The Fox is a major part of the BABYMETAL lore ... they have a whole lot lore and myth that would take far too long to try to explain here (and it is all very tongue in cheek, but it adds to the theatrical side of their big arena shows so they even have a sort of story line that runs through the shows and continues into the next shows) ... but the main part is that The Fox God chose 3 metal spirits to infiltrate the Idol system in Japan and from within to lead the Metal Resistance, reviving the stagnant metal scene (as it was in Japan at that time) and to breath new life into it by attracting a new and younger audience. He called them BABYMETAL.
In reality the story goes that the girls were being shown the metal horns hand sign, they thought it looked like a shadow play fox and were playing about. The producer thought it was funny and ran with it, inventing the lore and coming up with all sorts of stuff as a result.
The PIA Arena in Yokohama has a relatively small capacity in comparison to the ones they play more regularly, but they played these concerts there for a couple of specific reasons. Their biggest solo shows to date were at the Tokyo Dome in 2016. They sold it out (55,000 people) two nights running.

The interludes also for practical things: giving them some breathing time between/in songs and in RoR for example to bring the flags to the back of the stage.

Babymetal's producer used to work with bands, but was asked to work with kids, because their was no demand for bands in Japan at the time, Japanese Pop idols especially (not kids, that's just where they needed him the most in the general entertainment talent agency company). Here is what he said about the lights (this is from a Japanese interview, translated by someone Japanese with limited English skills, so some words are a bit of an odd choice):
Q : Does Perfume's trail back then become a reference after you had relations with Idol?
Koba : Yes, maybe. But I don't know well because I didn't brought up myself from scratch in Idol industry. I was asked the same question before, I may be able to say I'm not what I am now if I were a 100% Idol industry man. I'm a man from band culture... I have completely different way of thinking. There are a lot to learn from Idol industry way of thinking, but I have decided to go my way to extreme, about production and all. As to lighting method, I insist "It's rather better not to care about their faces" like that (laugh). I often have talks with lighting staff as "Is another lighting better to make their faces look better because they're Idol?" "No, this is it!" and so on (laugh).
Q : There are those "conflicts" at all (laugh).
Koba : When I was told, "Too much back lights so audience can see only their silhouette. How is it?" I replied, "Rather go extreme. Please don't use any faint colors," and "Need red, blue and white only!" Like that.
Q : You have produced their live acts as anything but those of Idol, from the beginning.
Koba : I think so. Our early days were a series of battles of bands. So I had pre-meetings with lighting staff of live houses and asked "Please do this for that moment," and so on. We could just afford our own staff after Rokumeikan act. That time I asked our lighting for one who had career at LOUD PARK festival. I once went to a live and was impressed the coolness of its lighting. So I visited the person in charge at the end of the live, introduced myself with my business card. It's like a direct negotiation as "May I ask your favor now?" Later we had meetings and he agreed at last. That's what it went.

Babymetal in 2016 closed their world tour at the Tokyo Dome, in Japan which is 55 000 people, it sold out fast enough they made it 2 nights. And then created the setlist to be: all songs from the 2 albums they had up to that point spread out over those 2 nights, no song was repeated. With a huge stage, etc. crazy production.

Good ear about the Dragonforce sound: actually Herman Li and Sam Totman from DF did the guitar arrangments for this song, and played for the studio version for the song!
They also played it live together a few times!
Dragonforce will actually open for BM later this year, and we hope they will play it again together!

In this particular case after the intro Moa and Momo had to move from their side stages to the center stage, put the flags away and Moa gives Su the microphone. They also have a few songs with breaks in the song for audience interaction, usually Road of Resistance, Megitsune, Monochrome and Metali.
The longer intros to the songs you often have in live versions are for the girls and the band to take a breath, a sip of water and get into position for the next song. Other bands are taking such small breaks to talk to the audience or fool around on stage.

Since you keep forgetting, the lead vocalist is Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto), and the supporting vocalists and dancers are Moametal (Moa Kikuchi) on the right, and Momometal (Momoko Okazaki) on the left. The original third member was Yuimetal (Yui Mizuno) who stood on the left where Momo is now.
Babymetal's live band is always two guitars, bass and drums. Regardless of which drummer is playing, they always use a double bass drum set up.

Well, they changed one of three members and they exchanged the complete Band so what shouldn't work?😂
No, in the concerts it makes sense. Moa and Momo have in fact multiple jobs. Background Singing, Dancing and Audience interaction. But those are the details that you often enough only see in the shows itself.

I highly suggest to enjoy early songs era with the original trio first, you can come back later and enjoy more versions from 2019 and after including new songs released from last album with the new formation.
Don't miss out the live in Japan official MV (2015) it's even more epic as an ender of the show.
I'm gonna left in my next comment where to get safe clips to react if YT allows me to do it.

Here's the list of live performance clips usually safe to reacts without any filters so you won't need to rely on live compilations, there might be some exceptions:
      - Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! live at Legend 1997, SuMetal 16th Birthday in 2013, they got MV of this and is fun, but live is a blast.
      czcams.com/video/LNFiDWJh2FA/video.html
      - Akatsuki, live at Budokan 2014, this is a SuMetal solo.
      czcams.com/video/g2372C5PJLM/video.html
      - Megitsune, official MV is my first recommendation but is usually blocked if you don't put filters, so if you want live and safe to react, check it out Budokan 2014.
      czcams.com/video/dU38CYkpBvI/video.html
      - Akatsuki Unfinished Version, SuMetal solo again but with only a piano behind special performance at Legend 1997.
      czcams.com/video/nwsinmxTxbo/video.html
      - Babymetal Death, live at Legend 1997, this is the big finale, you're gonna blow your mind with this one.
      czcams.com/video/jRc9dbgiBPI/video.html
      - Catch Me If You Can with Kami Band intro live at Budokan 2014.
      czcams.com/video/ng8U_j0gpLI/video.html
      - Ijime, Dame, Zettai live at Sonisphere Festival 2014, sometimes the official live MV isn't so friendly so you know what to do.
      czcams.com/video/Ro-_cbfdrYE/video.html
      - Rondo Of Nightmare, with Mischiefs Of Metal Gods Intro live at Budokan 2014, another SuMetal solo but way different than usual happy songs.
      czcams.com/video/8WBDiLMNZcE/video.html
      - Doki Doki Morning, official MV, their very first song and MV full of kawaiiness, usually is safe to react so try it, if you want a live performance, this is the first proshot version with the Kami Band live at Legend 1999 (YuiMetal and MoaMetal 14th birthday).
      czcams.com/video/BSjv9OYtWZ0/video.html
      - Uki Uki Midnight, this one is a follow up to Doki Doki Morning but way different sound, this is the PV, is super fun but the sound isn't so great but at least is live.
      czcams.com/video/Yj-UQIlqsIQ/video.html
If you want better sound with the Kami Band, then live at Budokan 2014 it is.
      czcams.com/video/ESzY9dL613Q/video.html
      - Onedari Daisakusen, live at Legend 1997, this is a Black Babymetal song, is a subgroup with only YuiMetal and MoaMetal.
      czcams.com/video/1dT1ywYR5So/video.html
      - Iine! again official MV hits way better but if you want live, here live at Budokan 2014.
      czcams.com/video/5sCvYVNeD0w/video.html
      - Karate live at Download Festival 2016, "kitsune6001" got this with a short interview intro.
      czcams.com/video/FKOL6v3Md2c/video.html
      - Road Of Resistance live in Japan official, this one is easily to find but be careful with the blocked by putting some filters just in case.
      - Kimi To Anime Ga Mitai - Answer For Animation With You, live at Budokan 2014, not sure if it's still safe, so try some filters, if is audio blocked try to mute or just cut the parts.
      czcams.com/video/M8FKumvh-w8/video.html
Here's a song you can find at Babymetal Reactor Resource (BMRR), a helpful place to get watermarked logo clips of the original live version to curve the annoying algo.
      - GJ! live at Wembley Arena 2016, another Black Babymetal song.
      czcams.com/video/Hg0Rylcg8F0/video.html
This is BMRR short vid to follow instructions and get the spreadsheet with the full list.
      czcams.com/video/q40VmTHSh4c/video.html
And here's a BM guide (the long one).
      czcams.com/video/gDne0xwniTg/video.html
There's a more recent beginners guide at "Briaghh" called "So... What is BabyMetal?" is more short and with some fair update until this year unlike the other one.

The girls leave the stage between each song, presumably for hair and make up and the occasional costume change so they have the musical interlude so there isn’t a dead spot in the show, the unfortunate side effect of that is it makes the shows seem a lot shorter than they actually are
