@@leifpettsson indeed, they do. I don’t think they reunited for the personal glory. Funny, Benny does not forget ABBAs critics. Of course, the critics are long forgotten, ABBA is still beloved
I think they do and it humbles them immensely. Bjorn and Benny are particularly tuned in to the legacy and giving the public and fans what they want.
Bjorn continues to defy genetics in the ageing process.
For sure, they do. That’s why they’re still going strong, in creative ways that’s taken tremendous work, into their 70’s.
I hope so 🙏🏻 bc we need to retorn at least a minimis amoung of that joy as a "THANK'S" 🙌🏻🙏🏻for all that they give us for so long, and beyond eternity ✨💕🥺

they always said there would be no new music but there is i believe that after the remaining dates of voyage is finished they could decide to record new songs and bjorn said before instead of giving the fans the old songs why not do something new.
@@kyleday5026 Benny said shortly after the release of Voyage that this is probably it....that ABBA will probably never record new music again. But, that was before Voyage went #1 around the world.

Honestly it'd be so cute (albeit weird for their kids/grandkids) if they got back together again after 40 yrs

They recorded 2 extra songs but they didn't came out in the Voyage albums... Who knows if these two songs would be released in the future... ?
In general though it would be nice if they collaborated from time to time.

My favourite too! Have loved Abba for over 47 years now and saw them live in 1979. Unable to be there tonight but will go soon. Frida is wonderful, so lovely to see her interviewed!!

I love how they're all like "well never say never" for the idea of more songs. Frankly I always want more ABBA, Voyage was a fantastic album and having more songs just... it would be phenomenal
I think they need an even 10 albums… or maybe a baker’s dozen? Lol
People think that every song that ABBA wrote and sang turned to gold. But when you look at their whole catalog of music, only about 25% of it could be described as being hits. And in their latest album, I would say that only 2 out of 10 of those songs could potentially be considered hits. If you think about it, that's the same ratio. Nothing wrong with that. I wish I could write songs with that ratio of success.
@@TheNameOfJesus You're obviously not familiar with ABBAs music and history. About half of everything they ever recorded went to #1 somewhere in the world. That is mind-blowing success.
Also, you're already wrong about Voyage only having a couple hits, and it's only been our for 6 months.

I think the massive response to the Voyage concerts will get the creative juices flowing again. Anni-Frid seems the most keen. She’s been singing since she was a teenager.

They all have so much intelligence, style and class! No wonder they have such a lasting musical Legacy that has not only lasted but is picking up new fans with each new generation. People respond to quality and just like the Beatles, new fans are discovering them!

yeah!We fans, unfairly and unmercifully had suffered a lot by some critics.
To be honest, I think people should ignore 'critics' cos so far 2 bands who were savaged by critics now have 2 of the best selling UK albums of all time. Queen, followed ofc by ABBA.

Yes, many successful bands and artists had been constantly destroyed by the critics at the height of their success. Ask Queen, Eagles, Van Halen, ASIA, to name just a few.

@@519forestmonk9 I think you are totally wrong. It was, I feel, Benny above all others. He was tired and wanted to spread his wings and do something more. Agnetha even came into studio after the 'split' to do a demo for Chess, with Frida being alongside Benny and Bjorn singing 'One night In Bangkok'.
Bjorn, during an interview in 1982 was clear that he wanted to do an album that was by "ABBA's standards' the best one.
Benny has so many things going on that he will, inevitably, want to channel some of his creativity with his band.
So forward to 2022, and we are full circle, with Benny pretty certain that there will be no more. Agnetha and Frida notably quiet and not quite giving the same indication of 'no more'.

Benny says this is it and it’s time to sleep soon! Sad but true. He’s so perceptive and smart! He accepts reality and is okay with it. A wise man but it sounds like he’s a bit tired and weary. I can’t blame him! What do you expect from a 70 year old man? I don’t expect anything!
The reporter says You’ve earned it! That’s true too! They gave the World so much great music. What more do you want? They came out with one last album and now this new show with fresh new vocals.

I have been an ABBA fan all of my life since they won 🏆 eurovision in 74. I was 6 years old. Their music is timeless. I am going in August with my sister....so excited. Loved Bennys dig at NME. Classic Benny. "Thank you for the music" of my childhood life... It got me through my adoption and urged me on to find my "birth mum" can't thank you enough for keeping me sain. I will always listen to ABBA till I die. Love and best wishes today and always. 😘 xx😘

I was a teen in the mid 70s and i fell in love with them with "chiqittita" i would run into the house to listen and sing along whenever it played on radio. Am now 61 and still love their music. Very soul touching.💃💃💃
I was 8 or 10 when I first heard ABBA and they had stolen my heart way back then and my heart still belongs to them today. I did the exact same thing when their song came on the radio and I would the railing on the staircase as a guitar

I found it fascinating hearing Agnetha talk about “their music” as though the music belonged only to Bjorn and Benny. Obviously it was written by Bjorn and Benny but we think of the music as being all of theirs.
My feeling is Agnetha was the genius that came up with a succession of unique melodies. After she quit they could not even finish the album they were working on!

I know I'm just guessing, but, : looking back, I think the succes of her unspected albun "A" was VERY important to this reunion. I mean, everybody was surprised she still could sound that splendid.And she wrote a new song for the occasion, etc etc.

And coming back after forty years hiatus with a top global selling album is quite an accomplishment, what other artists could manage that?
I have such a huge respect for them professionally not only giving us all timeless music magic but doing it with such integrity and dignity knowing that the Voyage concerts will magically delight us all whilst they can gracefully return to the normal life they all cherish knowing all too well that the Abba brand belongs to the 70s 80s and not their seventy year old selves performing it live around the world.

I have always loved abba right from the start. Their superb music was excellent- the girls singing beautiful and the boys writing and playing their songs - unsurpassed! I do remember a time in the eighties when admitting you were an abba fan was akin to admitting you had a terrible social disease or something.

Yes, I agree. I think the 4 of them inwardly are absolutely itching to make more music. They still have, I feel,have re connected with ABBA” in every beautiful way. Benny and Bjourn will never step away from music. It’s inbred in them. I honestly think there will be some more music from them. But, however, if this is their last performance I will still respect and say 🙏 Thank you for your music. It’s made people happy, it’s helped many people, like me, I add, get through many,many dark times in my life and I have always clung on to “If you see the wonder of a fairy tale, You can take the future,even if you fail…..
