WHY I OFTEN DON'T MENTION OTHER BRANDS IN MY VIDEOS.
You may have noticed that I often don't mention the original brands that watches I am reviewing pay homage to. This is very intentional and not meant to offend you or the original brands. I lost my first channel in October 2020 which I had spent 9 months growing and invested a significant amount of money in simply because I had mentioned the original brands in some of my videos. There are people who try to use CZcamss lack of understanding when it comes to the difference between homage watches and fake watches to attack other channels and their owners and sadly I fell foul of this in 2020. This channel was also attacked recently and CZcams deleted content simply because I had said 'subby homage' and 'Rolex homage' in two videos despite the watches in the videos being perfectly legal homage watches. Please understand that I can not afford to risk my channel so I will no longer be mentioning other brands when reviewing homage watches.

The original was designed as a drivers watch. Andrew on Time and Tide discovered that if you wear it on the inside of your wrist and imagine your holding a steering wheel it all makes sense. Cool watch.
Hate to admit but my Baltany 1926 is one of my favorite watches…. It’s just so different from all the other homage watches out there

The fact that it holds up to a high magnification video speaks for its quality. Many big name manufacturers aren't this good.

Baltany are incredible. I rate them as good at fit and finish and overall quality as San Martin. I think if Baltany homaged popular models from Rolex, Tudor and Seiko, they'd be the darling of AliExpress. They even do the NH38 thing for the dateless 3-handers so no ghost position. No idea what their steel bracelets are like but everything else I've seen of theirs has been fantastic.
I reckon they must be run by genuine watch lovers, rather than machinists who happen to make watches. So many of their picks for homages are genuinely unattainable and have some historical significance.

Beautiful. Baltany and now Vario both doing canted dials (with their 1918 pilots watch).
Love the look of this, I know a homage (great choice though) but love the quirky layout of dial and crown and its dressier style. One for my wishlist, yet to experience Baltany but can't wait, given the many postive reviews from yourself, Jody and others. Well done with the rolling specifications of movement and watch, it is so much better to read against the blue. Found it hard to see sometimes on the grey plank background before with white writing. This is much better if your watching your reviews on a TV and you can't see the comments easily to check the specs.

If folks are looking for a good D12 ww2 style watch, Baltany sells models in Quartz and Automatic. I picked up the D12 Quartz for 99 usd and it's my favorite watch. I always get compliments on it, the finish is soo crisp and the domed sapphire is gorgeous. Baltany is legit.

Dial reminds me a bit of the Lobinni and Baltic micro-rotor watches too.
I've got two Baltany and love them both. The quality is outstanding for what you pay. I've been seeing a lot of companies offer miyota highbeat for upwards of $500+, and no mention of hardened case. It's getting ridiculous with some of these watch companies.
These Chinese watches just keep getting better and better. The quality of the finish and the overall "cleanliness" of the dial and hands, even under magnification, is very impressive. Not too sure that completely "stock" Miyota warrants the inclusion of a see-through case-back, but then again: This isn't my kind of watch anyway, so what do I know? :)

I do like Baltany watches. The numerals font and the hands on this watch is exactly like my granddads 1938 Swiss Revue pocket watch which is still going strong. I'm very tempted by this one! Thanks Gary!
That is awesome! I love Baltany! I wish this watch was smaller and had a bit better case dimentions, aswell as a different crystal that does not warp the dial. Make it smaller and add a plexi crystal and its perfect!
Purchased my first Baltany earlier this year, absolutely love it.
I read that the original watch was designed to be worn on the underside of the left wrist so the dial was up right when you were holding a steering wheel.
This is not for me, not my style. But what an incredible watch! It's stunning!

Time to scratch the itch for a Vacheron Constantine American 1921. Very nice indeed for Baltany.
They also have a small seconds version at the 3 marker. It comes with a ST1701 movement and two colour options, this silver and a sunray salmon pink. It's on the new section in their official store

I have a Baltany S244009U-424 44mm (Green) California Dial and I just love it.
This is also an excellent offering from Baltany, I hope the make a sterile dial option available in the future.
I had to send a baltany back at my own expense, misalignment hand no sign of it bieng fixed , or returned.

I would love this watch, but in a regular orientation. The design reminds me of the Baltic MR01. I would live if they went that way with this exact dial. Absolutely gorgeous.
Never been into Baltany but I love this.
The real news here is an AliExpress brand using a Miyota 9 series movement rather than a PT5000. This particular watch design is meant to show you the dial in right orientation while having your left hand on the steering wheel driving a car.

Baltany has dropped quite a few new models in the past month or so. They all look pretty good, but I wish they would drop the VK64 movement in their chronos.

@@chrispekel5709 One of the other VK movements like the VK61 or VK63 would be better. Baltany also just dropped another chrono using the 6S21. A regular quartz movement makes more sense rather than having the chrono counter sweep.
@@jeremiahjohnson8343 I agree about the VK64 not being a great option for a chronograph movement. The lack of a functioning running seconds hand is a pretty big drawback, and sort of renders moot most of the appeal of the mecaquartz system.
That aside, the S5054 rotating bezel quick reset chronograph using the 6S21 looks absolutely amazing, and that rotating fluted bezel sets it apart from basically every other field chronograph on AliExpress (and pretty much anywhere else for that matter). I'll certainly be picking one up with the tropical brown dial the second it goes on sale, since I was pretty "meh" about the plethora of other field chronograph offerings from Baltany and other vendors, all too much the same.
Lots to like but … those tilted dials are a bugger for those of us who wear our watch on our right hands! Never yet seen one tilted the other way.

The 1921 American really is the best design to homage. Iconic classic and different, it doesn’t need to be a $40,000 VC to get attention
The orientation is supposed to be for when you are driving and your hands are on the steering wheel

I've had a driver's watch itch for a while, and the Vostok I bought to fill the itch was defective.
I did repair it, but in the process I scratched the bloody dial.
Normally I would replace it, but doing business with Russia is difficult at the moment.
The st17 version of this may well be the thing I was waiting for.

I have a Baltany vintage chrono and I love it. My only gripe is that they don't make any larger watches. Mine is a 39mm which for my 7.5 inch wrist is really about as small as I can wear, a 41mm+ would be great. I love all of their designs but, just not their sizes.
Yes, on the basis of your footage I'm also impressed by the level of finishing on this Baltany. Is it for me? No, not really and I'm also not really into homages in the sense of near copies. The case still looked noticeably chunky to me, but what goes on under the crystal looks good and the Movement I have not hesitations about

Nice watch and a great review, that dial and the hands looked amazing close up. It isn't cheap, but if they did one with the dial lined up normally, I would be very tempted. As it is, I suspect the dial alignment would irritate me.

I'll take mine with a very dressy black leather strap and deployment clasp.
Looks to be a decently made quality watch, but the offset crown and dial is playing havoc with my OCD. Not to my taste, but there's no denying it's definitely different.
I know you love the strap, but can it be removed? Lugs appear fixed almost.
If they had just gone the extra step of having a small seconds like the original it would be another level

What a lovely watch...they could have added some more detail to the dial, maybe some textured elements to make it stand out more but its still lovely the way it is.
The whole dial has a semi-sparkling crystal-like grain texture, it looks like, plus the applied polished markers give depth and different finishing. But if that looks a bit too flat and bland, maybe the salmon dial would be more to your liking. That version features a small seconds display, and has a really apparent and lovely radial brushing around the full main dial, with a separate circular brushing inset on the sub-register. I honestly think I prefer the salmon dial over the white.

been wanting to get the VC 1921 or the rolex oyster pearl homage they seem really well priced for what they offer, i like them more than san martin because they offer customization, san martin i feel they copy others dna too obnoxiously like pagani while baltsny goes for the silhouettes more than the same watch with a diff logo

I too have been impressed of late with certain straps from Ali Express - BUT not a single one is ever long enough to fit my 8+ inch wrist, ive got a pile of decent straps I cant use because of this, if theyre selling in America THE STRAPS SHOULD BE LONGER, we dont all have tiny asian or otherwise small wrists. Many times I decline to buy a watch I like because I know it means I have to add the cost of a dam NATO band as its the only thing that fits. You would think after all these decades there would at least be longer straps especially on some of the more expensive models-??!! Anyone listening-??!!!
