  • Spent a full week fishing south western Colorado for trout and Kokanee salmon. This video shows the hair jigs I use and how to tie them. Also included is my first use of the Tasmanian Devil lure that my friend Tom showed me. The new to me inline trolling lure was awesome for covering water quickly to zero in on the good areas. I can't wait to try these new trolling lures out on the Great Lakes.

I knew you must have been up to something no videos for a while. I been looking at those Tasmanian lures for a while wondering if they worked looks like they do. Land locked Kokanee salmon don’t grow much bigger than what you caught. Thanks for sharing your adventure maybe next time get some hunting footage.👍🏻

How far ahead of the Tasmania lure do you pinched the split shots?

6 to 8 feet from the lure was working for me. Good luck 👍

Is that hard to use a long pole in a kayak?

    • @NoFishNicksAdventures

Not hard to use unless in tight cover. The long whippy rod is needed for casting the light weight jigs. I also use Berkley Nanofil main line that really casts well (with a fluorocarbon leader).

Yes Fenwick I believe I have 8 or 10 lbs main line Nanofil.
