Big Bend - Chisos Mountains Loop Solo Wilderness Backpacking

- 2 day hike into the Chisos Mountains of Big Bend National Park. I hiked 16 miles clockwise using the Pinnacle, South Rim and Laguna Meadows Trails. I camped on East Rim 4 for one night, incredible views both East and West to Mexico. There were zero water sources on this hike so I carried 128 liters (8 lbs) of water with me. This was just the right amount without having to ration and the main reason I only spent 2 days in the Chisos. Incredible photography opportunities both day and night (stars). I highly recommend this hike and Big Bend in general. In addition I day hiked the Window Trail, Lost Mine Trail, Chimneys Trail, Balanced Rock and Santa Elena Canyon.
