Honestly, your tutorials are the only helpful ones I've encountered. I'm a full time med student, art is my hobby, and oftentimes I just don't have the energy or time to learn all the tedious processes that professional artists suggest.
I'm pretty good at traditional art so switching over to digital has been really hard because of all those things. Quick tips and tricks like these are exactly what I need. Thank you.
The second tip about the “don’t do line art” is actually really helpful, I had a sketch and I was going to do my line art but then every time I did it, it looked sloppy, I used different brushes, never came out the way I wanted. So fed up I just made another lay and just colored in my sketch, and my shading (my favorite drawing ever)
The fact you teach several people better then actual art teachers is incredible.

I do line art bc coloring is already lowkey hard for me so the scribbles and the line make it too much for me even when I clean it up it just kinda overwhelms me and part of it is bc I’m kind of a perfectionist 💔
Just do what you have to do. Your art is good. You don't have to make it like Kooleen's. Kooleen is good. You are good.

Another way to create depth is to make the farther colors closer to a motif color, I typically go with a dark purple

Line art is easy and one of my favorite parts of drawing. It’s not hard. You sketch it and make some lines thicker than the others to give dimension.

YES THE ASARO HEAD! I've been studying proportion using the asaro head method, and it HELPED ME A LOT. My proportion looks accurate enough and it has much more structure now. It doesn't look as wonky and flat like it used to be anymore. 100% recommend it for beginners, it will help you in the long run, TRUST ME.

6:20 If you're using clip studio paint you can add more lasso selection by pressing shift + just selecting as usual, you can also move a selection around if you press ctrl + click INSIDE the selection to drag it somewhere else
listening to your vids while I was drawing helped me not make goofy eyes and i know how to use color theory and do somewhat of rendering
